Alex's POV

"This is my life now. I have climbed this hill and I will die upon it." I moaned as I fell onto my knees, exhausted and tired.

"Shut up we've only been walking for 20 minutes. Stop being such a drama queen!" Maddie grabbed my arm pulling me with her.

We walk towards a high street, that I've never seen or heard of before.

"Where are we?" I asked Maddie. She licked the tip of her finger and pointed to the sky.

"According to the direction of the wind.... we're at Huckleberry High street, 20 miles from school and McDonald's is 5 minutes away."

"You got all that from the direction of the wind?!" I exclaimed, this girl is unbelievable. She burst out laughing.

"Nah, there's a sign over there." She pointed to a billboard. "I'm gonna call someone to pick us up."

She brought out her phone, scrolling through her many contacts. I looked around cautiously.

"Hey Dad!" Maddie said gleefully. "So.... I got kidnapped again but this time I had company...... Alexander Coleman..... From school......He's my best friend and surprisingly good at escaping. So we're currently at Huckleberry High street so could you send someone to pick us up. Thanks! Love ya papa!"

10 minutes later we were in the backseat of a metallic blue Tesla. Maddelena was eating ice cream from a mini ice cream despenser, which can apparently come in cars now, whilst watching 'Spongebob Squarepants' on the Car TV.

"So what's your mum and dad like?" I asked, I mean how can they act so casual on the phone after she had just been kidnapped?!

"Well...he has a beard that's always trimmed into a way to make him look super tough, like he will chew you like gum and spit you out. He works out a lot and hates it when some one questions his authority." She smirked. "And I never met my mum cause she abandoned me as a baby. So my dad raised me singlehandedly"

"Cool....I guess. But now I'm super scared of your dad so please excuse me as I jump out the car." I reached for the handle.

"Too late. We're already here!" Maddie grabbed my wrist dragging me towards a mansion. She can't possibly live here?!

The door was opened by a man in a black suit. He smiled at Maddie then suspiciously scanned his eyes over me.

"Afternoon Miss Esposito, your father is currently in a meeting and requests that you meet him in the dining room, where he has left something for you and you guest to eat." He said leading us through to a table.

"SUSHI!!! Finally I was starving!" Maddie squealed.

"You ate cookies whilst being held hostage, THEN you ate ice cream on the way here." I muttered in disbelief.

"They were only appetizers." She winked.

They was a variety on different types of sushi; California Rolls, Nigiri, Sashimi, duck, fish, veg etc.

I picked up the chopsticks clicking the tips together, how do you use these? I glance at Maddelena who was using chopsticks like a pro.

"La mia bellissima figlia, sei tornato." A voice boomed through the room. (My beautiful daughter, you have returned).

A man with brown hair and a freshly cut beard entered the room smiling broadly. His arms outstretched towards Maddie. She jumped up and ran towards him hugging him tight.

"Papà!" She squeezed him tighter. "I've missed you sooooo much!"

When he had finished his embrace with Maddie he came up to me, taking my hand and giving me a firm manly handshake. Maddelena grinned as she watched me.

"I heard about what you and my daughter did to escape, and I'm very impressed." He turned to Maddelena. "Which led to the idea that was just discussed in thew meeting. Follow me."

He led us into a room, with a large grey table with a few people around it. He motioned us towards two chairs. I am so confused to what's going on right now.

A guy with a short afro glaced at me before looking back to his computer screen, as if he was analysing me.

"Alexander Coleman, right?" I nod in response as he glances back at the computer. "You're in Year 12, your mother works in the library, your dad works in the Royal Air Forces and you had a Myspace account through your.....emo phase?"

"Yeah....." I scratched the back of my neck. "It was an experimental thing at the time."

I hear a snorting sound from the corner of the room, I turn to see Maddie clutching her stomach laughing. Mr Esposito cleared his throat, then walked to face both Maddie and I.

"Maddelena. Alexander." His voice boomed, hitting the walls and bouncing back. "Due to the recent kidnapping and the fact that Alexander still doesn't know that I am a Mafia Boss BTW"

.....

Wait, WHAT!

MADDIE'S DAD IS A MAFIA BOSS.

AND HE COMMITED THE CRIME OF TALKING IN TEXT TALK.

I have never been surrounded by so much danger.....

"Are you trying to catch flies in your mouth?" Maddelena asked, poking at my cheek. I snapped my jaw shut. I'm too tired to react anymore.

"Anyway, the idea is that you two go into hiding. we'll be updated on your location every once in a while. You wont be able to call us, so you don't attract attention to yourselves. It'll be like moving out for a while until you're safe. We will be trying to find out who is after you, but we have a feeling that it is more than one gang. You'll both be supplied with debit cards with £1.5 million each." He handed us a card each. Mine was Green and Maddie's was purple. "Splash, but don't over splash." He jokingly threatened, pointing a finger at the both of us.

"So we're basically going on an adventure?!" Maddie squealed.

Her eyes met mine as we started to sing the Adventure Time theme song gleefully.

"Adventure Time,
C'mon grab your friends,
We're going to very distant lands.
With Jake the Dog and Finn the Human, The fun will never end,
It's Adventure Time!!!!!"

This is where the adventure begins........

But the Adventure starts here *SQUEEEEE!*

Next chapter hopefully comes next week, but if I'm busy it'll come at some point anyway.
