Alex's POV

"I wanna go home......" Maddelena whined beside me.

We were in our last lesson before lunch, Art. We got to do whatever we wanted to in our art class, as long as it links to the subject.

I was currently drawing in my A5 sketchbook, which I had bought at the beginning of the year. So far I had drawn the town Maddie and I had walked through, a jellyfish that I had see in the ocean, stationary all over a table and the last drawing is of Mad-

"Ooooh! What's this?!" Maddie grabs at my book. I try to stop her, but she was too quick for me. "Is that me? Awesome!!" My cheeks heated up slightly.

"It's not that great..." I say, blushing slightly.

"Are you kidding?! It's amazing! I'm gonna draw one for you!" She starts drawing on the little sheet of paper in front of her. I try to peek over her shoulder to get a glance.

"No peeking! It's a surprise!" She giggled.

She scribbled on the graph paper with a black Biro. Her hand reached in front of met, for the pack of coloured pencils.

Blue. Yellow. Peach. Then Black.

"Finished!" Maddie exclaimed in a sing song voice. She shoved it into my face, waving it around excitedly.

I grabbed the paper from her small hands, inspecting the drawing carefully. It was me drawn in the style of anime, but it looked shy and introverted.

"Do I really look this introverted?" I mumbled slightly.

"Yea, you need to let loose sometimes. I mean dude, you only live onceee." She smiled, her eyes shining bright.

The orange tannoy in the art room gave a loud feedback noise, then the voice of the office lady spoke.

"Will Maddelena Esposito please come to the main school office at break time, to be picked up by her father. Thank you!"

Maddelena's eyebrows furrowed slightly,her lips parted slightly, a confused look painted onto her face. When she saw me notice this she smiled reassuringly.

Maddelena's POV

"Will Maddelena Esposito please come to the main school office at break time, to be picked up by her father. Thank you!"

My eyes widened in fear. My father never picks me up from school.

If I was to be picked up from school my bodyguard Anthony or Franco. I was so deep in thought that I didn't notice Alex watching my face contorting, I smiled quietly reassuring him that everything was fine. But this was clearly not okay.

They better think twice before attempting to kidnap me.

Alex's POV

Maddie walked in front of me, her light blue bag swaying from side to side. She wasn't skipping like she normally does, today she was different. Her feet were barely coming off the ground. She looked conflicted.

She pushed open the office door, smiling as she held the door open for me. She walked towards the front desk leaning over to see the woman behind the computer screen.

"Hi! I'm here to be picked up by my father." Maddelena said whilst playing with the pen that was on the table connected with a little chain. Why do schools always think that we're going to steal all the pens, and chain them to the tables.

"He arrived a few minutes ago, he's just outside the gates." The office lady replied, not looking up from her screen.

Maddie and I walked to the gates. She halted as she came face to face with a black Range Rover.

Maddelena let out a dry laugh.

"That is most definitely not my Papa's car." She stated defiantly. I was about to question what she meant, but before the words left my mouth she had started to march up to the driver seat window. She rapped her knuckles against the dark glass.

The window rolled down, a man with dark ray bands and a dark suit looked at her scowling.

"Who do you THINK you are?!" Maddelena glared pointing a finger into his face. "Pretending to be MY DEAR PAPA! You've got some nerve, you little drumstick Pygmy."

The dude with the glasses clicked his fingers, then two other guys cams from the backseat of the car towards Maddelena.

"Maddie! Watch out!" I shouted running toward her and these two dudes that looked like proper bad guys. One bald and one ginger .

I brought my right fist up, flying towards the Ginger's nose, only to hear a crack. Did I do that?

"AWESOOOOOME! Dudeee that some right hook you just threw. That was soooo badass and-" Maddelena's voice was cut off by the bald guy bringing a white cloth up to her nose and mouth.

Chloroform.

"Mad-" I reached out towards her as something was placed over my nose, a pungent fragrance hitting my lungs. I started to feel dizzy as black spots clouded my vision, Maddie's body falling limp in front of me.

What's going on?

Short chapter...sorry

So Alex and Maddie have been kidnapped.

By some bad looking dudes in a dark range rover.

Where are they being taken?

How are they gonna escape?

And when will Alex ever know the truth about Maddelena?

All will be revealed....
At some point.
