The sound of Taylor's alarm clock woke her up from the deep slumber she was in. Taylor sat up straight on her bed with her eyes wide open, her mouth opening and closing like a fish.
She had another dream but this time it wasn't a dream about Harry and her but rather a dream about Harry and Lillian, it was awful to say the least. Taylor felt a tear falling down from her left eye, she was sure she looked like a mess, her hair wild, her nose probably red, her eyes probably swollen and red. The dream triggered something inside Taylor, maybe it was realisation that the dream might become her reality, Harry and Lillian's reality. She saw Harry and Lillian happy and in love with a little boy standing next to Harry, looking up at Harry with soft blue eyes as she stood right in front of them, tears rolling down her cheeks like a sad, beautiful waterfall, the little boy then looked up at Taylor and smiled a really beautiful smile. The boy looked just like Harry except his blue eyes.
Taylor rubbed her eyes with her knuckles and let out a loud yawn. She was glad that she had a day off or else she would've collapsed in front of her professor because of exhaustion.
Her apartment was a mess and she felt like cleaning it, so, she did just that as soon as she managed to get out of her bed.

As Taylor wiped the cookie crumbs from her lips, her gaze fell on her phone that she had abused way too many times. The phone's screen showed Taylor that she had a new message, curiosity got the best of Taylor resulting in her checking the messages.
RICO'S CLUB TONIGHT ?
The message was from Sally, her seat partner at the university.
WHAT'S THE OCCASION ?
Taylor replied quickly.
WINSTON IS IN TOWN... THOUGHT YOU'D LIKE TO MEET HIM ;) HE WANTED TO APOLOGISE.
Sally replied with a cheeky wink, Taylor hated that.
Taylor's fingers hovered over the screen for a few minutes before she finally put them to good use and started typing her response.
COUNT ME IN, TELL WINSTON TO KEEP HIS HANDS TO HIMSELF. I WON'T BE SO NICE LIKE THE LAST TIME IF HE REPEATS WHAT HE DID.
Taylor replied and placed her phone down back on the kitchen counter, her attention back on the delicious chocolate cookies that she bought from Patty's, a local bakery just next to her apartment's building.
The cookies tasted like sh*t was the first thing that popped in harry's head when he took a bite of the awfully baked raisin cookies that Lillian had baked for him. When Harry 'joked' about not liking raisins, he wasn't really joking. Harry resented raisins but he pretended to like the almost burnt, raisin cookies that Lillian- who's not a baker- worked hard on.
"Do you like it ?" Lillian asked with a hopeful look on her face, her hands twisted together in front of her stomach that was covered with an apron. She was gaining weight.
'Must be the buffalo wings she eats daily, more like breathes them in as if they are air.' Harry thought
'They are awful and you should stay away from the kitchen and never step a foot inside it ever again!' Harry wanted to say but a rather enthusiastic "Yes!" came out of his mouth.
Lillian smiled happily and almost suffocated Harry with her arms as she hugged him quite tightly as if afraid he'll disappear. Maybe he will if she keeps giving him burnt food.
"I-I can't breathe," Harry said with difficulty, Lillian chuckled and pulled back, her eyes shining with happiness. "Forgot you're so fragile," she said teasingly and Harry smiled a genuine smile. This is the Lillian he fell in love with, teasing Lillian, Lillian who joked around and wasn't always so poised. Harry wrapped his arms around Lillian and pulled her towards him, his eyes shining with love and something else.... Was it sadness ? But why ? Harry often felt like something has always been missing... like a part of him was not there with him, he's been feeling that way since-
"You okay ?" Lillian asked softly, pulling back Harry from his thoughts. Lillian's left hand's pointer finger pushed back a strand of hair from Harry's forehead.
"Yea, everything's fine." Harry said and his arms fell down by his sides.
"I have some work to do before we leave for Albany." Harry said as he walked over to the door of their penthouse. Harry earned quite a nice amount of money, thanks to his father for hiring him as a trainee at his company and giving him a good salary. Harry was hired for his talent and not because he was the son of the owner of the company but what worried him was the fact that Lillian, although still studying in the university just like him, training there too and was soon going to be working alongside and she was the one that was hired as her father's daughter but not for her talent. Harry wanted to finish his education first but his father insisted him to train for the betterment of his future and for the company's future because his father was working at the company's other branch that was back in Albany, it was a small branch but the branch in Brooklyn was bigger and more well known and Harry knew that as soon as he graduated he'd be expected to take over the company in Brooklyn so what was the harm in training before hand ?
"What work ?" Lillian asked with an eyebrow raised.
"I have to inform Mr. Matthew that I won't be participating in the class project he announced yesterday," Harry said and walked out of the door without glancing back at Lillian, again.
What annoyed Harry the most about Lilian was her nagging behaviour.
Was his friends right that he's moving way too fast ? That marrying Lillian this soon is not right ?
But he loved Lillian so it didn't matter that they were getting marrying now. It didn't.....right ?
"How are you, Taylor ?" Winston asked and placed a hand on a small of Taylor's back, Taylor shuddered, disgusted that this pig was touching her.
"Hands off, Winston." Taylor said without even sparing him a glance, she continued spying on her vodka and tonic.
"Still mad about the other night ?" He asked with a smirk.
Taylor smiled a cold and cruel smile, placing her glass down, Taylor faced Winston and put her arms around his neck. "I want to tell you something," She whispered softly, Winston nodded like an obedient little child. Taylor smirked and walked away, swaying her hips. Winston followed just how Taylor knew he would- like a puppy, wanting his favourite bone.
Taylor pushed Winston against the wall of the dark alley that was at the back of the club. "Slow down, babe," Winston chuckled and Taylor laughed, Winston's smile faded away as he looked at Taylor with a questioning look on his face. It wasn't a normal laugh, no, it was a cold, evil laugh. Winston had never heard such a laugh.
"You see these hands ? Hands that you touched my back with ? These nasty hands need to go." Taylor said and was quick to bend his fingers backwards, making Winston scream out loud like a little girl. "These fingers are disgusting," Taylor hissed and bent them again, a loud cracking sound echoed in the empty, dark alley. Winston, a man, couldn't do anything but cry like a baby. "You're a man Winston, aren't you supposed to be um what do you call that ? Yea, masculine ? You're supposed to handle a weak little woman like me, darling but look at you!" Taylor finished her sentence by twisting his wrist, Winston sobbed and hiccuped, begging Taylor to let go. He finally pushed Taylor by her shoulder and Taylor laughed and the next thing Winston knew was his other hand, the hand on Taylor's shoulder being treated the same way his other hand just a few minutes ago was treated. Taylor kicked Winston on his shin and he fell back on his butt, Taylor chuckled and bent down, retrieving a large kitchen life from her stockings. "I think I cut myself while pulling this baby out but who cares ?" Taylor said with a shrug and bent down in front of Winston with a wicked smile plastered on her face. "I'm gonna take the pain away," Taylor whispered soothingly and Winston let out a deep breath, thinking that Taylor's gonna spare him. Winston opened his mouth to say something but all that came out was a stomach churning scream. Taylor got back on her feet, a finger in her hand and a bloodied knife in her other hand. "I'm gonna keep this as a priced possession," Taylor giggled and skipped her way back to the club, leaving Winston there, now unconscious.
"Where were you ? I couldn't find you and Winston, I was worried!" Sally yelled as soon as Taylor entered the club and sat downiest to sally was drinking a glass of whiskey. "Don't lie, you were content being alone." Taylor pointed towards the glass of whiskey in her hand and Sally shook her head and laughed, neither denying of agreeing to what Taylor said.
"Where were you ?" Sally asked again, Taylor smirked and signalled to the blonde bartender.
"What can I get you ?" He asked and Taylor ordered beer.
"I was out, looking for an extra finger." Taylor said and Sally looked at her with mouth wide open.
"W-what ?" Sally stammered.
"I have an extra finger." Taylor said and Sally looked rather confused.
"I'm joking, I wanted some fresh air." Taylor said with a convincing smile on her lips, Sally laughed and the bartender came back with a glass of beer for Taylor.
Taylor thanked him and winked at him.
"Good work," Taylor heard from her left.
She turned her head towards where the voice came from and gasped.
"Darkness," Taylor whispered and Darkness winked and walked away, disappearing into the crowd.
"What ?" Sally asked and Taylor looked back at Sally, her thoughts a jumbled mess.
"I need to use the restroom, I'll be back." Taylor said and hastily jumped out of her seat
"Hey! Do you know where is Winston though ?" Sally asked.
"No idea," Taylor said and rushed to the restroom, her palms sweaty.
So yesterday wasn't just her imagination. She really saw Darkness.
The voice that changed Taylor so much has a face now and what worried and scared Taylor the most was that Darkness looked awfully lot like Taylor, but it wasn't really her. Darkness looked rough, edgy and just... dark
Was darkness real ?
Or was it really her imagination ?
