"Please my love. Hold on to me,please. I love you so much. Don't leave me this way." Ray pleaded with a tears rolling down his cheek by now Jasmine had already shut her eyes closed making Ray to be more scared.

Within a minute the doctor and two other nurses rushed in. "What happened here?". Doctor Greg asked.

" I...don't...know... It... just started beeping all of a sudden. " Ray replied stuttering wiping the tears on his cheek with the back of his hand.

"Are you sure? Did she make any sign before the machine started beeping?". Doctor Greg asked again and Ray nodded quickly.

"Yes,doc. She opened her eyes and....I... I was trying to talk to her.... Doc please do something she's dying." Ray trailed when he saw the beeping was getting more faster.

"Please you have to leave so that we can do our job." The doctor said to Ray.

"No! I'm not leaving her sight. I'm staying right here with her." Ray replied firmly.

Seeing it was of no use sending Ray out of the room,the doctor asked one of the nurses to give him the life shocker and then when the shocker was plugged, he immediately hit it on Jasmine's chest making Jasmine's body to jolt on the bed but still she didn't show a sign of waking up.
The doctor ask the nurse to increase the volume of the shocker and then he hit it on Jasmine's chest again but still nothing happened. He tried doing that two more times and yet still no positive response, rather the beeping was ceasing.

"No! Brandy my love ,you have to fight for your life. I can't live without you." Ray yelled hoping Jasmine would here him and squeezed her hand.

The machine ceased and everywhere was quiet. Ray stood there with wide eyes and a gape,while the doctor shook his head.

"I love you,Brandy. We still have to build a future together. You still have to be the mother of my kids. You can't leave me when those dreams aren't realized yet. Please my love." Ray cried out shaking her body and kneeling down beside her bedside with his face buried on her hand.

Just a minute later,suddenly the machine started beeping back.

Ray raised his head to look up at the machine. It was now beeping and showing green to his surprise.

The doctor and the nurses were surprise at what just happened. Ray on his part couldn't believe his eyes,he stood there with a gape.
"Its....beep...ing...normal...doc." Ray stuttered still awestruck.

"Yes. I guess she heard you. She's really a fighter. I never expected her to wake up so soon less alone for a miracle to happened just now." The doctor replied still looking surprise.

"Yes! She...." Ray trailed off when he felt a squeeze in his palm. He looked down to see Jasmine's hand holding his and his eyes widened. "Brandy?" He called.

"Ray...mond?". Jasmine said slowly trying to open her eyes to see if it was really Ray.

"My love. Can you hear me?". Ray asked in an husky tone staring at her face.

"Y..e..s. Wh...e..re is...my...d..a..d?. She choked.

"He's outside. You're alive my love. Oh my God! Brandy you're alive." Ray said with chuckle but was shedding a tears of happiness. "I thought you'd leave me. You're alive my baby". He added kissing her hand and standing up to kiss her forehead.

Jasmine curved a little smile at Raymond.
"Please..... I...want...to...see...my dad. She said.

"Sure. Nurse Tina, can you please get Mr Williams in here?". The doctor said to one of the nurse standing by his right.

"Of course, doctor." She replied with a smile and headed out.

"We're glad you made it. You're such a fighter, beautiful." The doctor said and the nurse on his left nodded in agreement with his statement.

Jasmine didn't understand what they were saying, so he asked Ray. "What... happened...to...me? Did I engage in a fight?". She asked speaking calmly.

Ray grin. "No,my love. You didn't engage in any fight." He answered.

"Then why is he saying I'm a fighter?". She asked dumbly.

Ray grin widened. "Its not that kind of fighter he meant. What he's trying to say is,you're a life fighter. You fought for your life, my love. That's why you're alive." He explained kissing the back of her hand.

"Can you please tell me how I got here?". Jasmine asked looking around the hospital room she was admitted to. She didn't need to be told that she was in a hospital haven't seen the doctor and the female nurse and the rest of the equipments beside her bed.

"I...well..." Ray was still stuttering when Mr Williams rushed in followed by the rest of the people he called his family. Ray gave a sigh of relief seeing Mr Williams, he knows he just escaped answering Jasmine's question.

"My Darling. My baby." Williams cried out with joy as he ran to her bed and placed kisses on her face,head and her hand.

"Dad." Jasmine replied with a smile and she didn't know when tears started falling of the side of her eyes to the pillow.

"I thought you were leaving me to live this world alone. You don't know how lonely I'll be without you. I never thought I'll still keep on living without you in my life. You've been there right from the start,and the thought of loosing you just like that drives me insane. You have no idea how much I love you,my child." Williams said with coarse.

"I'm sorry,dad. I'm sorry i got you so scared. I promise to never leave your side." Jasmine said with moist.

"My girl". Rosa chirped in with a teary eyes too taking Jasmine's left hand and kissed it. "How are you feeling?". She asked.

"I'm feeling a bit fine. Just having headache." Jasmine replied with a slight smile patting Rosa's hand.
"Hi,guys". She added haven't seen Sarah, Emmanuel and Joshua standing in the room.

"Please guys,she really needs to rest right now if not her headache will increase. You can visit her later when she's more relaxed to avoid her passing out again." The doctor said.

"OK, doc. We'll leave and come back later." Williams said standing up to kiss her forehead. "I'll see you later my child." He turned to the others and said. "Please guys,let's leave. We'll come back later to see her."

"We love you Jasmine." All of them said in unison like they practiced it apart from Raymond and Williams.

Jasmine grin and blew them a kiss before they left. "Please doc,can he stay a little with me before I sleep off?". Jasmine asked when everyone was heading out of the door apart from the doctor and nurse. The six of them halt on their track and turn to stare at her wondering who she was referring to.

"Who are you talking about?". The doctor asked speaking the mind of Jasmine's visitors.

"Him." She replied pointing at them. Since they were four men all standing together, she wasn't pointing directly to who she wanted to stay behind.

"They are four "he's" here,so which are you talking about once again?". The doctor asked for the last time.

"I mean him. Raymond". She replied. Everyone's attention turned to look at Ray who was also surprise as they were.

"Oh. OK. You should have just said your husband and we'll understand". The doctor said making everyone to stare at him like he just grew a horn on his head.

"Huh?". Jasmine mumbled.

"What?",-doctor Greg asked staring back at them but only got shrugs from them. "- well,I don't have much time to spend here,I need to check other patients. So if you all would excuse us with the exception of Ray, I'll like to conduct some checkup on her again before I leave." He added.

They nodded and left leaving Ray, the doctor and the nurse in the room. Ray was still standing by the door side while the doctor carried on with the checkups. When he was done,he left the room with the nurse but before he left,he told Ray of the dosage he had injected on her drip which will drift her to sleep soon,so he was advised not to keep her awake against her will when she starts feeling sleepy.

It was now left with Ray and Jasmine in the room to have a private time with each other.

Ray stood there nervously rubbing the back of his neck in awkward silence. What was running through his mind was answer to why Jasmine asked him to stay behind. He thought maybe she wants to question him on how she got here, which is something he can't tell her because she's going to hate him forever for almost causing her death. He ran his fingers through his hair and huff.

"Are you just going to stand there or you'll come over here?". Jasmine asked jeering him out of his thoughts.

"Ugh." Ray muttered before he walked to her bedside avoiding her gaze. He stood there looking around the room.

"What's so interesting in the room you're looking at? Well I wouldn't like to hear your answer. Please sit." She said hiding her smiles.

Ray took a sit close to her bed. Same place he had sat a while ago while talking to her. Still in his nervous state,he tapped his fingers on his lap waiting for her to say something but no words were forthcoming.

"I'm sorry." Both of them said in unison.

This brought a grin placing on their lips. It reduced the tensed atmosphere between the two.

"Uhmm. I think you should go first with what you have to say." He said to her.

"I thought the same too." She replied with a sigh. "I want to thank you." She added.

"Thank me? What for?". He asked with a furrow.

"I want to thank you for saving my life. I..." She was cut in.

"No. It wasn't me. It was you. You fought for your life. I should be the one thanking you for doing that." Ray said.

"It was you. It was you I saw in my deathland. I almost gave up already. But then I heard your voice penetrating in my head. I heard your plea asking me not to leave you." She paused and swallowed the lumps that she had on her throat due to the fact she's holding back her tears.

"When I heard your plea,I had to fight back to be alive." She continued.

"How are you sure it was me? Your dad was also here." Ray replied trying to make her shutoff the idea of him being the reason behind her survival.

Jasmine smiled weakly. "I know your voice,Raymond. It was you. I knew it. When I opened my eyes you were the first person I saw beside me holding my hand. So?". She asked waiting for him to say something.

Raymond knew she was right and there's no way he could deny that. He sighed. "Yeah. You're right. Its me. I just couldn't leave your side. It was all my fault that...."

"Please stop Raymond. I don't want you to blame yourself right now,its the least thing I wanna hear right now. Come here",-she said pausing and she stretched out her hand and waited for Ray to place his on hers which he did reluctantly still feeling guilty. She held it tight.

By now her eyelids were getting heavier and she was mount to sleep off sooner due to the dosage that was injected to the drip by the nurse as a prescription by the doctor to help her relax better. " I really don't know how I got here ",she continued,"-but... I... just ..wanted....to...apologize... for not... trusting.... you". She managed to blurt out before her eyes closed.

Ray saw she was asleep like the doctor had said so he sat there still holding on to her hand. He covered her hand with both of his palms and placed kisses on it. 'I'm so glad to have you back,Brandy.' He mumbled rubbing her hand gently. He placed her hand back by her side on the bed and then he stood up. He went closer and kissed her forehead and then to her lips. He kissed her lightly on her lips. " I'll be right back,Brandy". He whispered to her like she could hear him and then he walked out of the room.
