Slamming the door behind her,Jasmine took off leaving speechless Ray with Sylvia.

"Who the hell was that?". Sylvia asked jolting and turning around as she heard the door slammed.

Ray ran his fingers through his hair in confusion. He stood up from his sit but Sylvia pushed him down to his sit in a seductive way and whispered to him.
"C'mon baby,you can't just leave like that. Forget about who ever bashed in on us and let's continue what we were doing." She said touching his face.

"Get your hands off me this minute." Ray snapped at her and she jolted removing her hands from his face immediately.

"Ba...." Sylvia wasn't allowed to finish her sentence.

"Don't baby me. You're such a devil. You actually told me you came here to apologize for what you did,but instead you ended up trying to seduce me. How stupid I was to believe you were real this time around." Ray said in grimace standing up from his chair.

"Baby,what's wrong? I thought..." Sylvia trailed off again.

"You thought I have forgiven you that's why you took advantage huh?". Ray completed for her.

Sylvia was silent.

"Yeah. I've forgiven you. But you know what, I'm tired. I'm tired of all this. I'm tired of having you around me. I'm tired of having you make things complicated for me. I'm tired of tolerating your extravagant lifestyle. I'm tired of you making a fool out of me. I'm human, so I'm tired of doing what you want,what your mum and most of all what my mum wants! I'm damn tired!" Ray yelled hitting his clenched fist on the table and turned around to rest his arms on the wall and placed his head on it looking downwards.

There was a little bit of silence in the atmosphere. Sylvia went closer to touch him.

"Don't dare touch me". Ray scolded turning around to face her.
"I'm sorry to tell you this. The engagement of you and I is no longer holding." He said staring at her with no emotions.

Sylvia shook her head with nervousness. "No. T..e..ll... Me. You're. Joking. Right?". She asked with a snicker.

"Its no joke,Sylvia. I mean it. This whole engagement stuff between you and I is all over." Ray repeated.

"No. You can't do this to me,Ray. We've come too far for you to do this to me. Its just a week to go and we'll be together as husband and wife. You just have to hold on before then". Sylvia said in a suiting tone.

"Tch. I know its a week to go. That's why I'm telling you before then. I can't do it. I can't marry you, Sylvia. You're not for me." Ray replied.

"Then who's for you? You've got another woman, isn't it?". Sylvia asked with a scowl.

"Its not like you love me anyways. So what's the problem if someone else does?". Ray returned question to a question.

"Oh. You're answering question to a question, isn't it? You're dodging the answer to my question. Tell me,who the hell is she?!". Sylvia snapped.

There was awkward silence.

"You're not saying, huh?". Sylvia asked with a scowl.

"Let's forget about that now. I'm really not in the right mood to talk much now. I'm leaving. I'll talk to you later if need be." Ray said and walked passed her to the door and walked out of his office leaving Sylvia standing all alone in the office.

Sylvia anger grew as she clenched to her fist. "You son of a bitch. Bastard." She cursed as she transferred her aggression on the files and other documents she could lay hands on the table and started pushing it away to the floor,even throwing some of it across the room. It took her a second thought that made her not smash his laptop on the floor as well.

"How dare you humiliate me this way? I'll make sure you pay for this Max and also whoever you're having an affair with will suffer my wrath." She swear with eyes filled with anger and hate hitting her fist on the table.

When Ray left his office earlier, the first thing he did was to call Jasmine's line but she wasn't responding to his calls. He called several times but still no response. He decided to go over to Williams company rather than calling Mr Williams to avoid any questions in search of her but she wasn't there either. He didn't give up, he was still trying to reach her while he went over to her shop to see if she could be there but she was not there as well.

"Where could she be? Hope you're save wherever you are. Please pick up,Brandy". He muttered to himself looking perplexed while he had his phone on his ear. His call was finally received.

"Hello brandy. I'm...." He said but was cut off with a male's voice on the other end.

"Hello. Sorry,its not the owner speaking. This is a doctor from St Mary's hospital, the owner of this line was engaged in an accident and she was rushed down here." The receiver said.

"What? Where? How? Is she OK?". Raymond asked all at once when he got the news.

"I guess she'll be fine. We're about working on her now. I've got to go now but before then,take down the hospital address." The doctor said and started calling out the address to Ray.

"Thank you so much. I'll be there in 10minutes." Raymond replied in panic before the call dropped.

"Oh God. What have I done? Please God keep her alive for me." He muttered running his fingers through his hair.
He turned the ignition of his car and drove to the hospital.

"I'm here for Jasmine Williams. What room is she in?". Ray asked one of the nurses at the counter on getting to the hospital.

"Sorry, you can't see her yet. She's in the EMR." The nurse replied.

"How long is it gonna take?". Ray asked in frustration.

The lady nurse shook her head and said. "I don't know sir,it all depends on how serious it is and how the doctors in charge takes care of it."

Ray huff and placed both hands on his waist pacing around. Remembering that Mr Williams its not aware of his daughter accident, he decided to give him a call. After three rangs,Williams picked up.

" Good day sir. Its Raymond on the line." Ray said.

"Hi,Raymond, I know you're the one calling, I do have your number. How are you today?". Williams asked with a lit up tone.

"I'm good sir. Sir I have something to tell you that's why I called." Ray replied.

"OK... Is it about the business? Did your dad asked you to call me?". Williams asked.

"Not that."- Ray answered while Williams waited for him to continue.

"Then what?". Williams asked again.

Ray huffed. "I'm calling to tell you....Jasmine was involved in a car accident and she's in the EMR at St Mary's hospital as I'm speaking to you right now." Ray said cautiously.

Williams stood up from his office executive chair he was sitting with a shocking expression. "No. Its not my daughter you're talking about, maybe you're talking about someone else. Right?". He asked hopefully.

"I'm sorry but you're wrong with your thinking. Its your daughter,Sir Williams." Ray answered with a low tone.

Williams was weak at hearing Ray confirmed it was his daughter. He sat back in his chair with his phone still on his ear. He couldn't speak,he was speechless.

"Sir Williams? Are you still there?". Ray asked when he couldn't get any response.

"I.....yeah." Williams replied in an husky tone.

"Please, you have to be strong. I know you're feeling bad about the news...." Ray was trying to calm Williams when Williams cut him off with a question.

"Is my daughter OK? Was she badly injured? Tell me she's fine and no scratch or broken legs or hands on her body. Please?". Williams asked.

Ray sighed heavily using his palm to sweep his face. "I don't really know. I haven't seen her. Sir Williams it'll be better if you're here in the hospital to see her when she comes out of the EMR. You'll definitely be the first person she wants to see. So I'll advice you stop asking questions and come down here. OK?". He said.

"Yeah. You're right. I'll be right there." Williams replied.

"And please make sure someone else do the driving because you're not in the right state of mind to drive yourself down here. OK?". Ray suggested.

"OK. Thanks." Williams answered and hanged up.

Twenty minutes later Williams was at the hospital with his driver by his side. He sighted where Raymond was standing and walked up to him.
"Raymond". He called and Raymond looked up to see him.

"Sir Williams. Thank goodness you made it down here." Ray said.

"Is she out yet? Are the doctors still there with her?". Williams asked panicking.

"I'm afraid yes. I haven't.... Oh, here he comes." Ray said fixing his gaze at the doctor in white that was approaching them and Williams ran to him.

"How is my baby? Tell me she's fine. She's alive right?". Williams question holding the doctor hand and staring at him to say something.

" Are you a family member to the patient involved in the accident?". The doctor asked.

"Yes. I'm her father." Williams answered quickly.

"OK. I'm doctor Greg....." The doctor tried to introduce himself but was cut short.

"We don't need your damn identity right now,all we need its to tell us if she's alright!" Ray yelled with a scowl while Williams nodded in agreement.

These sent a shiver to the doctor and he was staring at both men with a gape like he just saw a ghost.
"Well...." He started but was cut short again this time by Williams.

"Well what? Can you stop playing with our head and mind and tell us what's wrong with my daughter?!". Williams snapped holding the doctor's shirt.
