#8 Challenge accepted
After the little accident in the corridor, here I am, in the girl's washroom, cleaning up all the mess created by my wounds and Stefan. My white shirt is totally red at the bottom. I raised my shirt, only to see all the bandages covered in blood. I force of Stefan's hand must have opened the wounds.
I removed the old bandages, cleaned the wound and covered it with the fresh bandages I brought today at school for emergencies. And now my white shirt was a mess. I quickly think of a way to hide the blood. I removed my white t-shirt and pinned up my red checks shirt which I was thankfully wearing over it as a shrug. I tucked the shirt inside my black jeans. All done.
And now I was ready to go back to class. I quickly throw the bandages in the bin and keep my blood-stained shirt in my bag. I walk out of the washroom to see Stefan waiting for me.
"Hey. Are you okay?" He asked as soon as he saw me coming.
"Yeah. I'm fine. Thanks for asking." I said as politely as possible.
"Why did you change your top, Princess? What happened? You don't seem to be a girl who changes her clothes for every period." He chuckled. Yes. Some girls in this school change their clothes for almost every period to get attention.
"Well, then you know me all wrong," I smirked and tried to walk away. Key word- tried.
As soon as I walked away, he held my hand and pulled me back again. And now we were so close that I could feel his breath. As an instinct, I quickly stepped back, away from him. He smirked at my action. I just glared at him.
"Now tell me. Why did you miss school and why did you change your top?" He asked again.
"Why are you so interested in my life?" I asked.
"No questions. Only answers." He said.
"I was at Selena's house and I tripped down the stairs and stumbled directly into a sharp edge of a table which pierces through my stomach and I passed out." I monotonously said. Now that I say it out loud myself, this story is so stupid and idiotic. It makes me seem so dumb.
"Seriously Princess. You are so clumsy. You should take care of yourself. And why did you change your top?" Stefan chuckled. Oh god. What's his problem? Why such a sudden interest in my life? But if I don't answer him, he'll keep me waiting and I'll miss class. So it's better to answer.
"When you pulled me back with your hand around my stomach, the wounds opened and started bleeding and my white top was stained. So I had to change. Now enough of the questions. I have a class to attend and unlike you, I like going to classes." I explained, trying to remain as calm as possible.
"Princess, I am so sorry for pulling that way." He apologized. I looked at him as if he had grown two heads. I can't believe he apologized.
"If you want to apologize, stop calling me Princess," I smirked, taking advantage of the situation.
"No. Can't do." He smirked. I just rolled my eyes and walked away from him, towards my next class.
I entered the Math room almost fifteen minutes late. All the faces turned towards me as soon as I entered the class.
"I will not ask you where you were. Just take your seat, Miss Macbeth." The professor glared at me. Someone seems in a bad mood. Without asking any questions, I took my seat which was between Selena and Claire. I got a questioning look from both of them and just mouth to them that I'll tell them later. Now let's study.

The whole day went by in a blur. And now I was in my Art class, talking to the professor about the homecoming. You see, homecoming in our school is not just a soccer match. It is a festival. We hang banners all around the school, paint the school walls, make posters. We also have a bonfire two days before the game in which we burn the images and things that are symbolic of the opponent school, the Campbell High School. They are the Campbell Knights and we are the Lakeshore Tigers.
So, this year, as I won't be playing, I decided to help more with the decorations and everything. I and Ryan were talking about the decorations with our Art professor. This year we were planning to combine the Computers department along with the Art department to make the posters.
"Let's meet up somewhere. We can plan the stuff there rather than in school." Ryan suggested.
"Cool. How about my place? I'll call Selena and tell her." As soon as I said this, that's when Ryan went all red.
"Why Selena? What has she to do with this? Not that I have any problem." He muttered the last part but I heard it very well.
"She is excellent with computers," I stated as a matter of fact.
"Oh. Then I'll call Stefan too." Ryan suggested.
"And why do you want to call him? We are not going to have a party or anything. There is not going to be any alcohol. So why is he needed? And if you are worried to be alone with girls, don't worry. I'll tell my brother to give you some company." I glared at Ryan.
"I know you two don't get along well, but he is good with computers too." Ryan chuckled.
"He studies Computers?" I asked, clearly surprised.
"Yep. So it's fixed. Your house at five. I'll tell Stefan-" "And I'll tell Selena." I smirked at him.
"Yeah. Yeah." He ignored my comment. "By the way, do you know if she likes anybody?" Ryan asked out of nowhere. I start laughing at his nervous question.
"What would be the fun if I tell you the answer to that question huh?" I smirked. He just glared at me. There would be no fun if I told him that Selena likes him back.
I just chuckled as I moved out of the class to go to the library as I had a free period now. I sat down in the library and started completing my homework for which I would not get much time as people are coming to my house.

The bell rang, indicating the end of school. I opened my locker, put my things inside, and took out my sports bag. I headed towards the girl's room to change. But as I entered, I saw no one from my team in there. Oh, shoot! How could I forget that we are not playing for this homecoming? So, there would be no practice as the boys' team would require the field. I should have gone home during the free period. Now that I had stayed back, I decided to watch the boys practice.
I went back to my locker to keep my sports bag and I headed towards the field. As I came closer to the field, I saw a tall figure standing in front of Stefan. Before I could recognize who it was, Tessa came running from behind and went passed me.
"Kevin!" She shouted as soon as she reached near them and hugged him. I immediately recognized the person to be Kevin.
Kevin was one of the bad-boys of the school. He is one year elder to me and is currently studying with my brother at the University of California. He regularly comes to the school to meet his friends and girlfriend, Tessa. They have been dating for three years now. I walk towards them.
"Hey, Princess!" Stefan greeted me.
"Hey, Kevin! How are you?" I asked Kevin, completely ignored Stefan.
"Yeah. I'm fine. You?" Kevin replied.
"I'm good." I smiled.
"You and..." He looks at Stefan and my eyes widen at the realization about he was saying.
"No. Never. Nope." I shook my head.
"Not yet," Stefan smirked. I just glared at him. I heard Tessa and Kevin chuckle. I rolled my eyes and turned around to walk away. What is with people thinking that I am dating someone? First Sarah and now Kevin. Stefan comes running behind me.
"Hey, Princess! Are you okay? I heard you guys are not playing for the homecoming." He asked. Why do I feel that he had asked me the question 'are you okay?' too many times today.
"At least when we used to play, one win for the school was fixed. Now that only you guys are playing, I am not sure that we will win. So go and practice." I rolled my eyes.
"Is that a challenge, Princess?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Yes. It is." I smirked.
"Well then, challenge accepted. If I win, you'll have to do whatever I say for one whole week." He suggested.
"Not happening."
"One day?"
"Nope."
"Aww. Is Princess scared to loose the challenge?"
"Done. If you win, I'll do whatever you say for one day. And if I win, you will stop calling me Princess or any other stupid nicknames." I smirked. I bring my hand forward to accept the challenge. He shakes my hand.
"Get ready to lose, Princess." He smirked.
"Oh. I can't wait for you to stop calling me Princess." I rolled my eyes.

"Hey, Ryan. You're are on time. Others are just lazy bums." I greeted Ryan as he stepped inside my house.
"Hey, Vanessa!" Ryan chuckled.
I heard someone clear their throat. I turned around to see Ethan.
"Who is this, Nessa?" He suspiciously asked.
"Oh. Sorry, forgot to tell you. My friends are coming. We have some homecoming banners to plan." I shrugged.
"Who is he? You have a boyfriend." My over-protective brother asked. I and Ryan, both start laughing. Why does everyone think that I am dating someone?
"Ethan, his is a boy space friend. Seriously, don't be so silly." I chuckled.
"Then I am thankful that there is space between the two words," Ethan stated.
"Oh. That space is already reserved by the Klarks." I unknowingly said. Ryan's eyes go wide and Ethan's face gets filled with anger.
"Klarks?" Ethan raised his eyebrows.
"Selena, Ethan. Selena Klarks." I assure him and his face calms down but Ryan is still red.
Before he could say anything, the doorbell rang. I walked towards the door and whispered to Ethan as I passed by, "Shirley is all yours." He just glared at me. I open the door to Selena standing there.
"Come in." I walked towards the boys. I turn around to see Selena stopped in her tracks, her eyes wide and her face red.
"Oh. I forgot to mention that Ryan and Stefan would be joining us." I shrugged. Ryan, being a gentleman, goes to her to introduce himself.
"Hey! I'm Ryan." He greeted.
"Hey, Ryan! I am Selena. Nessa's best friend." She said in a little high pitched voice.
"I know," Ryan responded too quickly. "I mean, we have gym together." He tried to hide his embarrassment. They both stand there, staring at each other.
"Okay lovebirds. Let's go upstairs. Because we are here to plan banners, not stare at each other, blushing-"
"I am not blushing." They both say in unison. I and Ethan start laughing.
"Move." I take them to my room and we start discussing. Stefan has not arrived yet.
**********
It's been half an hour since we are here. Stefan just fooled us that he was coming. I knew he would not come. But you wanted him to come. No. I didn't. Just as we were talking, Ryan's phone rang.
"Hey, Stefan. You said you were coming. Where are you, man?" So it's Stefan who decided to call after ditching us.
"What!?!" Ryan suddenly shouted.
"Yep. I'll be there as soon as possible." He ended the call and looked at us.
"Sorry guys...I have to go."
"What happened? Why did he call?" Selena asked.
"Stefan's little sister and brother have not returned from school. He is worried and asked me for help. So I am going. Sorry for leaving you." Ryan shrugged. So that's why Stefan did not come. And he has a younger sister and a brother. That's something new.
"What's their name? And do you, by any chance, have their photo? I have some friends who could help." And by 'friends', I mean, my Gang's research team.
"Sean and Selena. I don't have their pics but they are twins and Sean exactly looks like Stefan and Selena like..." He stopped in the middle, thinking of what to say.
"Like Sean?" Selena answered his thoughts.
"Yep. Like Sean." He said.
"I'll see what I can do," I said.
"Thanks. Bye." And Ryan left.
