Brendon's POV

Economics class was so f*cking boring, I wanted to die.

As soon as the bell rang, Theo came up to me,"hey dude, I can't get this girl out of my head" he said. "who? Which girl?"I asked. "Remember the girl that came and kicked you in the balls?" he says.

"Oh that girl, yeah I remember, so your saying you like her?"I say, frowning at the memory. "Yup," he chirps happily. I can't help but laugh at him.

"What's so funny?" he says nudging me.

"Nothing," I say.

"Anyways, so I was thinking, since you started talking to Emma which I'm sure the other girl is her best friend, because of her reaction of what you did to Emma, and I see her and Emma and this other girl always together also so..bro, help me out. Tell me her name and stuff."

"Ok I'll find out for you, but you owe me big time for that," I say sternly, but he knows I'm joking.

"Okay, thanks," he says.

I checked my schedule to see that I have physics.

Why the f*ck do we have to have physics twice a day?

Emma is in that class though. So maybe I can ask about her psycho best friend. I close my locker and run towards class. As I enter, I see Emma already there, reading a book, so I couldn't see her face.

Thankfully the teacher stopped Emma from reading so I could see her face again. After a few minutes, I turn around, and said "hey". I waited for her to look at me, but she didn't.

She kept her head down looking at her notebook, why was she ignoring me...

I can see her face turn red and she looked like she was holding back her tears. Did I do something wrong?

I look up to see Mackenzie glaring and smirking at Emma, that's weird, why do I feel like Mackenzie did something else to her that I don't know about...

I wonder why she hates Emma so much?

Why doesn't Emma fight back?

Why is she so quiet?

Why does she love books?

where does she stay at lunch?

Since I'm very sure I've never seen her in the cafeteria..I'm gonna find where her secret hideaway is. Don't call me a stalker, I just want to know more about her.

And I gotta help Theo with her best friend, or maybe she isn't her best friend.. whatever I don't even care, I'll just ask later.

It felt like the class was dragging on and on for ages, and finally, the bell rang, and I realized school was over and we are going home now. I wonder where Emma lives...Maybe I can follow her if her house is in my house's direction.

Emma's POV

Oh my god, I was dying in class finally I'm out, I can't believe Mackenzie threatened me like that, I feel horrible.

I wish he would just know that it wasn't by my will that I'm ignoring him and that it's because of that b*tch, Mackenzie...

I stopped by my locker to put some of my school books back and took out a book from my bag and started reading, as I was walking home, I felt like someone was following me.

This weird awkward feeling, I turn around and don't see anyone I just shrug and continue walking.

I decided I didn't want to go home, I wanted to go to my secret place, to think, it's so relaxing there.

I go towards my house and threw my bag in the yard and then started walking towards an old alleyway near the neighborhood where no one goes to.

I go further down the alleyway, and turn right, and walked towards the beach.

Brendon's POV

I follow Emma further down the alleyway and see her walking to the beach, I try to stay quiet and keep my distance so I wouldn't get caught.

Why is she at the beach?

The house she stopped at earlier must have been her house.

I see her walk along the beach reading her book, going towards the old lighthouse, that no one has been there for about 10 years, ever since a woman committed suicide there.

I wonder why Emma would go there?

Why would anyone go there?
