Max is in his early twenties and as confident as that age warrants. He's got floppy dark brown hair with curls that any woman would envy, and bright blue eyes to boot. Most often, you'll find him wearing a hoodie and jeans, because it fits his pro gamer personality. He's most comfortable with a controller in his hand, and he's damn good with one.

But he turns to workout gear instead after unexpected life events cause him to reassess his priorities. He doesn't like to talk about what happened, but it definitely makes him more serious and more focused.

Maybe a little too focused. He doesn't really have any hobbies. He works out and he works. That's it.

Until Rowan comes along and makes him slow down, of course. She makes him see that there's more to life than just pushing for the next milestone, and that he doesn't want to do it alone.

It may take a bit to crack through his hard exterior shell, but once Rowan does, Max's life always changes for the better.
