So, I'm doing a little backtracking to get back into things, and also a little fast forwarding to establish a good time jump to resolve some stuff that was going on without having to get into details from years ago.

We are taking back the big training session and concern of the Society buckling down and instead focusing on mythical and home drama. Perhaps this can come back later, but it's too big of an ordeal to just jump back into.

Here is where our focus characters will be at:

Penny x Devon: Not so much of a focus, but they'll likely make some appearance in all this, and were settling a pretty big arc of their own. To re-cap, Penny had lost her memory of Devon (doing that trade a day in her past to gain the password bracelet in order to gain access to the Underground, a mythological place of peace out in the Arctic). Devon came across someone named 'Know One' who gave him a memory recover vial in exchange for some of his blood. That blood was used in an attempt to control Devon into stealing a magic book from the Company. He was caught before he could manage a handoff and was taken by the Company for testing. Last we saw he had been released and returned home to the now watchful eye of Cooper, his head of House. This was also a major point for Cooper feeling like he didn't keep up with the other heads. At that point Penny was extremely upset with Devon for lying about how her memory got back, but since that was all the way in May 2021, and we'll be starting into January 2022, we'll be skipping ahead to where they've really started to regain trust again and they get to be a happy couple in the background. She's also lost a little trust in Cooper, viewing that he let the Company take Devon like that.

Collin: When Collin returned to the European Branch, our love options for him were Evelyn, the assistant of the house, or Valencia, the warrior fashion queen. They both helped him with the fear simulator and got him to open up about his father and rejection by Penny. After a vacation, was when he really started to bond with Evelyn. They got to a really good point in friendship, she had kissed his cheek during the New Year celebration, and spent the big Event together. Now, at that same Event they came across one of your Wielders that Evelyn was really vibing with (William I think? Someone in restoration, which is a huge field for her). Since, there isn't a battle focus anymore, I think she would have spent a lot of time connecting with Wielders and learning magical restoration and protection, going so far as to become the keeper of magic items for the European branch with her next steps to bring over kids from other branches to start training them. She really blossomed and gained a new purpose in this year skip, but that also meant she was too busy to really navigate her feelings for Collin (not to mention spending a lot of time with some of the Wielder kids for him to possibly be jealous about). Now, Valencia being a bit more mouthy would have been a tad verbally jealous when her friend gave so much attention to this group, so it's definitely possible her and Collin learned to badmouth them just a little together, if he would go for it.

Xander: We were so close to a confession from Caleb. So, we're skipping over another year of pinning, but it means that Caleb will be able to be at the point to speak more coherently to him, except on those occasions he tries to confess.

Cooper: Writing the first one reminded me of Zorion's crush on Cooper, and also Cooper's self-loathing. You'll have to fill me in on if he got a bit more serious this past year after the incident with Devon. Em had dealt with kids being pulled from her on the early days, so she would be good to confide in, although it has been a long time. The heads all would be doing some more training and possibly have gone out to the field once or twice by now, of course they still have houses to run and it'll depend on the level of self-sufficiency in their houses, the American branch being the furthest ahead with members like Parath, Rafa, Ekon, etc. As far as our Heads go, Cooper is the main focus this arc.

Xx_FireBird_xX Summary of some our other couples:

Morax x Kylie: One of our first couples to get together here. Morax had some demon scares, especially with power malfunctions and then when Legacy almost killed him. They've gotten a lot of information from Carl, and Morax was looking into research about separation.
If we are enjoying getting back into this RP, my next step would be to in-fact discover a way for this, but the drama isn't what you would think... one would assume it would be a dangerous procedure or that they wouldn't know the outcome of what the separation would do to him. Which, I dunno might add some medical drama into it all, but the main goal with this is to create a pathway that can separate ANY Gifted from their powers. Which, is an opening for house drama with some kids wanting to give this up and have their normal lives AND scare over enemies weaponizing such an ability against them.
I will add, that they did eventually get a little getaway cabin together after the lockdown.

Taayin x Beatrice: They've had a pretty tame story compared to the others, so really they're just a happy couple in the background. She was a bit dickish before, but he quickly got to her and they've done some adventures together.

Florian x Carter: The babies! Angsty Carter with his self-hatred and tragic backstory collided with closeted Florian so that they could both bring out each other's confidence. The main battle arc had been created with them in mind, so without that I don't have a solid direction for them. So, currently they're mostly just happy background, but I miss them the most of the Gifted, so I welcome any ideas. I also included Florian in a different story if we'd just prefer to wait for that. In the past year of the story, they got all their training certifications for dog training and fixed up the barn. If we want to pick them up again, they will start by rescuing some pups to start training a whole crew. This means that Florian will be spending a lot of time at home to get their program going, he's the paperwork guy of their duo and at some point was able to take over Carter's training working together rather than the basic stuff Ekon had been throwing at him. It hardly felt like training even, they'd just watch dog training videos in bed together, go through rescue fitness routines, Florian would excitedly read him articles about dog rescue missions, and they would walk through training exercises with Cocoa and Happy. The hardest part was just taking the computer tests to get the official certificates and clearances. The day they got their service dog training certification (the 2nd of the 3), was also the day Em lifted Carter's band and no more ankle monitor! Things also cleared up with Florian's friends like Dean easing up that she hadn't been told everything and Esti stopped getting all nervous around Carter. Some, like Rafa, accepted Carter pretty quickly, others took time, and just a few, like Alder, moved on to new prey.

Kenmaur x Haruto: There wasn't much drama with these two to begin with. I think they had taken flowers to a hospital or something and kissed on New Years. Happy Background really.

Calista x Johanne?: I don't remember if they really got together, but they were both on the Arctic trip and had the lunch and he helped her through her power malfunctions and yeah. I don't really know if there's much else for them either.

Arista x Petra?: So... I made up a crush for Arista to have on Petra for the truth or dare trial during the god thing for drama and then I don't think we ever used them again. If they did get together it definitely would have happened by now, so that's open for debate.

Xx_FireBird_xX Just more characters: I have a good handful that were made for certain situations or that just never got much of a story. So, again- if we're enjoying getting back into this or perhaps we want some fresh faces to try out here's a few that I have for good use:

America, Esti: She has been a background in a lot of stories. She was made with a Tove/Penny-esq vibe in mind, but has ended up a little bit of a basic girl-next-door type. A well-known person in her branch for heading a lot of tech. Definitely a bit more nervous than originally intended. Head of tech.

America, Dean: I think Dean was just kinda made before her appropriate era. She's a lot more loose and sexual and we hadn't dove into many characters like that back then. She's a rough and tough girl who could use a good blossoming.

Europe, Adira: She was made to act as a middle point between Evelyn and Valencia, being an action person who knows when to get series. I don't remember if my intention was for her to be someone for Evelyn to be jealous of since she could keep up with Collin on the field, or if she was actually more of a Penny-esq backup. (Except less bubbly friendly and more cool girl) Either way, that doesn't feel necessary anymore and now I've got a basic cool chick that's available.

Aussie, Reizo: He was just a cool shifter guy I made to fill Aussie space. Nothing in-particular I was hoping with him, but if we wanted to get away from the Penny-circle in Australia he's a good base.

Aussie, Fender: Just my bad boy type. I think he was one of the last ones I had made, so I don't know if he even showed up yet?

Africa, Venus: Venus was made as the perfect girl. She was made as a jealousy tool for a different writer. I still love her though, so it would be nice for her to get her own thing

Africa, Ciel: Not quite a shy nerd boy, but kind of a quiet loner with a simple home job. He'd be someone who doesn't see himself as much of a help and could use a confidence boost.
