I got up and went down to the kitchen. I didn't seem to notice the boy, from my thought all last night, at the kitchen table talking to my mom.

"Hey Mom, is it okay if I skip school for this week?" I asked. "Yeah sure honey. Real quick before you go, can you say hi to our guest?" My mom asked with a smirk.. I turned around to see the one person who was on my mind all of last night. "Ethan!" I yelped. 'What is he doing here?' I asked myself. "Sally you know this young man?" My mom looked at me smirking. "Yes. Well more like kind of.." I said. "Yes or no?" Ethan asked. "I don't know yet. Give me more time. Please?" I answered pleading. "You have 24 hours to make your decision. Other wise you won't have one." Ethan said blankly then left. 'Sally what have you gotten yourself into?' I thought. "Well what was that? We just moved here." 'Mom..you don't want to know.' I thought. "I know. Its just he asked me a question yesterday and I never got a chance to answer it. And its not as serious as it sounded. Okay?" I lied hoping Mom would believe me. "Okay." Mom stood up and walked to the sink. "And you know I was kidding about being able to leave right? Your still grounded." I groaned at my mom's statement. She just laughed at my dramatics.

I went to my room, and sat down at the desk and decided to see what the school is like. I looked up the high school, Morroon High. I found out that they are the dolphins. They have won championships for all sports and clubs twice. It truly was the ideal #1 school. The school all parents want there kids to go to. With a sight, I closed my computer.

I went to my bed and placed my extra pillows under the blanket so it looks like I was sleeping. When I was sure it would work, I went to the window and climbed out using a vine ladder that was on the side of the house. When I got down I looked inside of the kitchen window to see my mom in the kitchen. She looked so happy I couldn't hurt her, so I went to head off to see Ethan.

I walked to the forest and waited. I had no idea why I knew Ethan would come, but I just did. Just like I suspected Ethan came walking towards me, once he came close enough he started to talk. "Have we made a decision?" He asked coming to a stop in front of me. "Yes. I will join you. But! You have to help me learn to control it. I can't hurt my mom." He nodded. "Fine. Come with me." Ethan agreed. "Tonight?!" I asked surprised. "Do you have something better to do? Cause last I knew you were grounded and not supposed to be out of the house." Ethan teased turning around to face me. "Fine. But I have to be back before dawn." I sassed, following Ethan into the woods.

Once we got to the bunker I noticed two other people in the corner. "Charlotte, Jackson." Ethan greeted. "Ethan, whose this? Didn't know you were dating anyone." Jackson teased. "Um..no..wrong idea" I stuttered. 'Why do I do that?!' I yelled in my head. "Awe...shes flustered." Charlotte cooed. "Sally sit. Now I promised I would teach you, but you have to trust me." Jackson stood up with force. "Ethan! You said there was no more! That we were it!" Jackson yelled. "Jack, she just got into town. I didn't know she existed. Now will you quite it down." Ethan said annoyed. Jackson sat back down and watched. "Sally I need to know. Do you trust me?" Ethan asked. Charlotte rolled her eyes. "Yes." I answered. "Okay. I need you to lay back so I can help you." Jackson smirked before getting slapped by Charlotte. "Okay?" I said laying back on the bed.

Ethan put his fingers on my temples and closed his eyes. Blue mist came from his eyes and finger, he gasped when he entered my mind. "Sally you've had your powers your whole life, but you were unaware of it." Ethan noted. "Is that even possible?" Jackson quietly asked Charlotte, she just shrugged. Ethan took away his hands and looked at me. "Sally your powers are like nothing I've seen before. You have visions, strength, speed, and you have mist like mine, but it can control people." Ethan looked at me with concern and what I read as fear. Jackson backed away from me earning a laugh from Charlotte over his reaction. "Can you introduce me by any chance?" I asked looking at the couple behind him. "Oh right. Sorry." Ethan shook his head. "Sally meet Jackson Mayne and Charlotte Marleen. Jackson can control metals, the air, and at times his mouth." This earned him a slap on the head. Ethan laughed then continued, "Charlotte can persuade people, she can cause illusions. I can transport into people's minds, read thoughts, and see memories. This is what I meant by we are the Gifted." Ethan said. "Okay. I'll join." Jackson barked out a laugh. "Join? Ethan did you use the 'me and my friends are superheroes' talk again?" Charlotte laughed. "No.." Ethan looked away earning a laugh from Jackson. "Again?" I asked curious what could make Ethan, the 'bad boy loner' flustered. "Yeah. When he first met me he and Jackson told me that I was a gifted and we had to save the town." Charlotte explained. "Ethan? Really?" I asked trying not to laugh. "Yes." He grumbled. I lost it, I couldn't stop myself from laughing. He just glared at me but if you looked hard enough it was more a playful glare than anything else.

When we all calmed down, we talked for a few. After about two hours I said I had to go. I started to climb the ladder up out of the bunker when Ethan called my name. "Sally!" I turned my head towards him to signify I was listening. "Meet us outside of the school tomorrow." He said then turned towards his friends and I left. In the first time since I was little, I actually felt like I belonged.
