When I woke up the next morning, I made sure I had my bags and everything ready for the trip. I headed downstairs and told Mom I need to talk to her.

When I sat down, she was standing in front of the table facing me. "What do you need to talk about?" She asked me. "I found this school in Texas. Its for kids like me, kids with powers. I am legally allowed to choose my own school now, and I am legally allowed to choose where I live. This school is a boarding school." I paused. She nodded for me to continue. "I am heading out tonight." I blurted out. "Okay. If you really want to go to this school, then fine. Just don't come crying to me when you don't know anyone." She said then left.  My shoulders sagged as I began to tear up.

I arrived at school, I tried to wipe the tear tracks away on the walk here, but by Ethan and Charlotte's looks I failed at doing so. "Sal, what happened?" Charlotte asked. "My mom is okay with me leaving, a little too okay." I paused, Ethan motioned for me to continue. "We had a fight last night after she caught me trying to sneak back into my room. She lied to my face about my powers, and then this morning I told her about the school. She said 'okay but don't come crying back to me when you don't know anyone.'." I told them, my eyes tearing up. Charlotte hugged me while Siena looked like she wanted to but didn't move to do so.

That night we left.

For some reason no one talked about where we were going. Besides Ethan and Jackson talking about Hunter, it was mostly quiet until the usual road trip annoyances. "Hey E. When can we stop for dinner. Some of us do eat." Siena said while holding her stomach. Ethan shook his head, "Siena, we'll stop up here and get some stuff. Its also near a forest so we can let out some tension." Even though I never said anything about the building anxiety in my chest Ethan seemed to know about it. "Sally. Mind reader. Remember. That also means emotions." Jackson smirked and I knew that wasn't any good. "Jackson! Not like that! Damn it!" Jackson and Charlotte started laughing at Ethan's expression. He was blushing while glaring at the road, honestly if you didn't hear his outburst you would swear the road did something. I could feel Ethan's irritation, it was like his mind was subconsciously giving off danger vibes. "Ethan.." I whimpered not liking the danger feeling. "Please...calm down." I bowed my head to hide the tears in my eyes. "Sally...." Charlotte whispered trying to call me down. "J.. Why won't she calm down?" Charlotte was now hugging me. I was trembling, my anxiety getting worse. "We're pulling off." Ethan informed with guilt obvious in his voice. "Ethan! This is not your fault!" Jackson sneered. "Yes. Yes it is. If I kept in mind that she is new to this and doesn't know how to control the intake of emotions. You forget mind reading is more than just thoughts. Its memories, emotions, sickness, and thoughts."

Ethan stopped the car in a clearing. He unbuckled and opened the door quicker than I could see. "Bring her to the middle." He instructed while walking to the middle of the field. "The quicker the better." Jackson muttered while getting out and helping the girls get a trembling me out.

When we arrived to the middle of the field, Ethan was pacing. "Place her on the ground. I didn't want to do this...this is something I wanted to avoid at all costs.." He rambled while placing the group in their respective places. Charlotte was on the East side, Siena West side, Jackson South side, and Ethan on the North Side. "Ready?" They all nodded. "Focus on her energy. Then pull all of the excess out." Ethan instructed. After what seemed like weeks, but was actually only minutes, I felt all the tension leave my body. I looked up to see a dark cloud floating in the air above me.

Slowly all my senses were fully coming back, I could hear everyone panting and smell and feel the grass I was laying in. Finally when I was able to fully hear again I heard Jackson, Charlotte, and Siena all screaming Ethan's name. 'Wait!' I shot up to see Ethan passes out in the field. "What? What-What happened to...Ethan?" I asked catching my breath. "Your emotions were too much and it overwhelmed him!" Siena screamed. "Siena!" Jackson yelled. "What?! We don't even know this girl. Ethan finds her and that same day he is troubled with nightmares. Then he takes on training her. That drains him physically and emotionally. And now, this!" She says while pointing at his unconscious body on the ground. "He chose to help her. He didn't have to. He chose to. Don't go blaming her for something Ethan chose. He knew the risk of bonding our abilities but, he did it so save all of us. You've seen Sally when she isn't in control conscious. Did you really want to see Sally not in control unconscious?" Jackson scolded. 'Wait I was unconscious?! But I could see everything.' I asked myself. "Siena. You had help with your powers your whole life we all have. Sally didn't have anyone to help her." Charlotte tried to reason.

"Just give her a chance." Ethan whispered gaining consciousness. "Ethan!" Jackson yelled running towards his best friend. "Siena. I know how hard it is to trust but," Ethan tried to take a deep breathe. "you need to even if its just for this once. She needs our help." Ethan was now standing in front of Siena. "Does no one see me?" I asked. "Sally!" Charlotte screamed. "How-How long have you been..standing there?" Jackson asked. "Long enough to know everyone..but Siena trust me." I walked, at least thought I was walking, to the car, turns out I ran.

Jackson decided to sit in the back while Sally sat in the front. Jackson was keeping a close eye onto Sally until the next stop.
