when she woke up from her dream she noticed she slept till sun high and the apprentice den was pretty much empty except for Olivepaw. she stretched and  carefully padded out of the Apprentices den, she noticed that Lucapaw was spending a lot of time at the medicine cats den.

Leafstar noticed that she was awake.
" Hey Dovepaw your awake. Jaywing told me what happened, I thought it would be best to let you rest for a little bit and maybe we could go train in the training area with Firepaw And Echofur."  Leafstar meowed

" Ya sure that be great." She meowed

Leafstar nodded.

"Why don't you go eat quick before you go?" Leafstar meowed.

She nodded and grabbed a mouse quickly, and ate and they ran out in the forest to get warmed up. They finally arrived and firepaw and Echofur was already their. Once leafstar saw that everyone was their they got started right away.

" okay so the first lesson of your training is hunters crouch the most important thing we'll need for hunting for prey. " Leafstar meowed

" We've been practicing this move since we were kits! We've practically mastered it." Firepaw mewed

" Okay then let me see then." Echofur meowed

Firepaw nodded and went into the middle of the training hollow Dolphinpaw and Deercreek were training together on the other side of the clearing.

Firepaw dropped into a crouch and his tail moved  in the air he put one paw In front of the other paw and he twisted and caught the leaf as his prey.

" Great job but just keep in mind you don't twist or you'll easily miss your prey. and try not to move your tail so much and try and keep it down a a few taillengths off the ground." Echofur instructed.

Firepaw nodded and Echofur took his place in the clearing she showed them how to do it right.

" Good try firepaw" she whispered.

" Thanks dovepaw." he murmured

For the rest of the evening they practiced and Leafstar told us to go back to Camp so we can eat and go to the gathering.

we arrived at camp everyone was excited to go to the gathering probably to see their friends.

" Hey Dovepaw ready for your first gathering? " Halfmoon purred.

" As always!" she purred excitedly circling her mother. lionsong greeted them.

Lucapaw wandered over

" Lucapaw what's up?" She asked

" Nothing.. just hanging." Lucapaw mewed

" Okay. I've seen you around Jaywing everyday."  dovepaw meowed

" and?" she asked

" It's just that I worry about you that you won't become a warrior like the rest of us..." She meowed.

" then don't worry about me I might be Roseheart's apprentice one day. " Lucapaw meowed.

" Okay." dovepaw rolled her eyes and Leafstar called them to the entrance the ones who were going to the gathering. her siblings were going as well as their mother and father. Halfmoon came up to them

" Hey Dovepaw." Halfmoon purred she brushed against her mother.

" Hi mom. " She murmured

" You should stay near us at the gathering if you want." Halfmoon meowed.

" I'll be fine." She meowed

Leafstar signaled us so that we could go to the gathering hollow. we ran and we got held up by the tree log that fell. 

I'll never make it... I thought and when it was her turn she tried to Jump over the log until her back right hind leg got caught. she wailed in pain Leafstar turned around and she called Jaywing and some warriors that came up to help.

" Careful with her leg!" Deercreek meowed

" I'm trying!" Shadowstep growled.

she saw the blood on her right leg it was a big scratch on her leg. she winced as they tried to move her.

" Almost there."  Bluefoot meowed grunting as they pulled her off the log.

once they set her on the ground gently Jaywing came over.

" We can't go back now it'll take too long. we'd have to take her to the gathering anyways."  Jaywing meowed

" But what about herbs?" Roseheart asked.

" We'll have to deal with what we can find."  Jaywing meowed.
