As dovecreek awoke to see the dawn patrol she has sorted the day earlier off. Her daughter moonpaw was going on it. Moons had passed since the gathering. Brackenstar was om his last life. New - leaf is here the prey was stirring from their burrows.

Redwing led the dawn patrol out.

" I want you check riverclan border and shadowclans" She meowed.

" okay. Everyone ready?" He meowed. Looking over his patrol. Everyone nodded their paws shifted uneasily. She narrowed her eyes as they ran out. her ears twitched as she heard the warriors den rustle. It was icetail.

"Hello Dovecreek." Icetail purred circling her.

" Hi Icetail" She greeted her mate. Icetail stopped circling

"Our clan has grown so much in these past moons. I'm so proud of our clan. But I'm worried about brackenstar. I'm going to become leader of this clan soon when he goes. I don't know what I'll do." She murmured shaking her head.

"Don't worry you'll have us." Icetail purred.

Lilyfern's kit Redwing was a warrior and she was proud to mentor him. But what she was worried about was that vision. She didn't know what she was doing at the moonstone. Redwing was just a kit in that vision but they can change.

She decided to take a walk after she sorted the patrols out. She took a walk with Icetail.

"There are never moments like this. I miss it." She purred.

"Yes I agree. With everyone being so busy I just don't know about this clan life." Icetail meowed.

"What do you mean?" She asked surprised.

"Oh nothing it's not important." He purred licking her ears.

She heard shrieks and hisses suddenly.

"Oh no what's going on now?" She growled. She ran up ahead and Icetail was on her tail.

"STOP! WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS!"She yowled. The two clans windclan and thunderclan split apart. Fur ruffled from fighting.

"I will not have this for thunderclan. Explain!" She hissed.

" Well Winterpaw  and Moonpaw where being taught how to hunt and so Winterpaw chased the squirrel over the border and didn't realize it. " Crowheart explained.

"Ha! Didn't realize it? Our Apprentices even know where our borders are!" Breezestorm growled.

" yeah well our Apprentices are actual warriors!" Hollybreeze growled.

"Can't even come up-" meadowclaw was cut off by Dovecreek.

"Enough! I'm tired of hearing you two fight over and apprentice who was hunting! It's mouse-brain! Let's go before this turns into a border fight!" Dovecreek growled.

She flicked her tail for the patrol to go. Why was this border skirmish run by kits! Our clan isn't like this!
" I will not tolerate this. Even though winterpaw didn't mean to do something like that. Which didn't mean to start a border skirmish!" She growled.
" now windclan with think we're weak and can't sort out our own problems!" Hollybreeze snapped.

" Thunderclan is not weak! And you know that hollybreeze. Ever since we moved from our home things have gotten tough for the clans. It's been hard trying to settle down in this new home. " dovecreek meowed.

" I'm sorry for starting such a pointless border skirmish." Winterpaw mewed. Her tail down.
"It's alright winterpaw. You didn't see the border.everyone makes that same mistake at sometime." Icetail meowed.

Winterpaw nodded and she ran off towards the rest of the patrol. And she and icetail continued walking.

"What would it be like when brackenstar leaves?" Icetail asked her. Dovecreek looked up at her mate in surprise she thought for a moment...

"You mean when he dies? Well I don't know if I'm ready for that to happen... I don't know if I'm prepared to be the leader of a great clan that I've grew up in... Leafstar wanted me to be deputy since I was born... It's a wonder she chose me. Nobody knows why but I'm guessing that leafstar wanted me to be deputy because I was right for the job I knew how to convince all of you like I did when we left our old home which was too dangerous.." She meowed.

"How do you know if leafstar is right about you? What if you make the wrong choice?" He asked.

She looked at the ground and stopped walking why is he asking me these? Is he concerned about me?

"Why are you asking me these questions?" She asked repeating what she had thought.

"I'm just curious of what you'd do. And I am concerned of how you will take this leadership I mean we've all had our troubles and your always asking us to patrol the shadowclan and river clan border because of hawktooth and what he did to you which is in the past and you should leave it there." Icetail meowed.

She said nothing and she just walked on. He maybe concerned about me and about what I'll do with my troubles but I won't involve him in it. I don't want to put him in danger or my kits. Why is this vision haunting me every where I look at water? I need my questions answered I mean visions can change it doesn't have to be this way.... Because in that vision redwing was a kit. Not a warrior. Will it come true?

As I keep asking myself these questions I don't know if starclan will have an answer too them or anyone for that matter. I just don't want my family involved with this. It's too risky. 

" we should head back now the clan must be worried." Icetail meowed interrupting her thoughts. 

When she and Icetail returned to camp everyone was already settling under the sun and sharing tounges. until she suddenly heard rushing paw steps coming from the main entrance. 

" Dovecreek! we found this on our side of the border." bluefoot meowed her tail lashing side to side angrily with her patrol surrounding her. and the rest of the clan looking to see what was going on. Looking at the thrush that was in front of her paws she saw something wrong. 

" Lucasong! come look at this!" She meowed calling her sister from her spot.

lucasong came over to her side at an instant. 

" It smells like riverclan did this." Lucasong meowed.

" yes but theirs something else look closely" She meowed. 

" A tuft of fur... why would their be fur stuffed into a piece of prey like this! it doesn't make any sense!" Lucasong meowed frusterated to figure this out. suddenly Brackenstar appeared behind her.

" What's going on around here?" Brackenstar demanded. 

" Bluefoot found this piece of prey with riverclan sent on it with fur inside it." She reported.

she looked up at Brackenstar realized that his eyes were burning flames with anger.

" Why would they do that? " Brackenstar growled. looking furious. 

" I don't know maybe they think we're weak and can't defend our own borders." Redwing growled. 

everyone was angry about this. Brackenstar called a clan meeting. " Let all cat's old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the fallentree!" murmurs came from the clan she saw her two kits come out of the apprentices den. Moonpaw and winterpaw yawning. Winterpaw spotted her and Icetail next to each other. 

" What do you think this means?" Icetail meowed 

" I don't know but im worried Brackenstar might take this the other way as well as the other warriors of this clan. Since theirs a gathering tonight why doesn't Brackenstar consult the Riverclan leader?" She murmured 

" Do you think that's what's he's thinking? because i doubt that he is planning that.. " Icetail meowed.

" We have gathered here because we have witnessed a crisis at our paws!" Brackenstar yowled. 

" A crisis? Since when was this a crisis!" Some cat yowled. 

" This cannot happen within our borders Riverclan has no right to our prey only we do. They have the fish to swim after!" brackenstar growled. 

Brackenstar is taking this too far! Why does he think riverclan? They don't eat forest prey! 

"Dovecreek." Lucasong murmured

" What is it?" she asked

" It wasn't riverclan's scent on the prey it was Windclan's!" lucasong whispered.
