Third Person POV
*2 years later*
Danny was lazily draped on a leather couch in the grand living room of Wayne Manor. He wore dull blue jeans and a black short sleeved shirt, his raven hair was messy. His sock feet were propped up on the arm rest of the couch and his head rested on the other armrest. A book was in his hands.
Alfred entered the large living room and noticed the raven haired teen on the couch. "Master Danny, please remove your feet from the couch," the old butler lightly scolded. Danny snickered and lifted his feet off the couch, not moving from his lazy position.
Alfred frowned slightly, "Would you please sit up straight Master Danny?" Danny smiled and sat up, crossing his legs so that his feet rested on top of his knees and he was sitting up straight.
The butler raised an eyebrow, "Master Danny, do uncross your legs." Once more, Danny flashed Alfred a smile as he leaned to the side and did a handstand on the couch.
Alfred sighed and rolled his eyes, "And I used to think Master Dick was the troublesome one."
As if on cue, the older Grayson brother entered the living room. His raven hair was slicked back and his blue eyes were smiling. He wore simple blue jeans and a red short sleeved shirt. Dick looked from Alfred to Danny and back again. He smiled, "I see you two have been having some fun."
Danny started to laugh, causing him to topple over and land on the floor. "Ow ow ow, ouch, okay, never doing that again," Danny said as he moved himself into a sitting position on the floor, his smile never once faltering.
Alfred just shook his head, "You boys will be the death of me."
Dick bumped the butler's arm, "C'mon Alfie, we all know you're going to outlive us all."
"Him or Bruce," Danny added as he stood up, brushing himself off.
"No way, Bruce is too stubborn to die," Dick joked. Danny and Alfred nodded in agreement. A clock chimed in the living room. It was 11 o'clock.
Dick rushed over to the couch, "Hurry and turn on the TV." Danny reached for the remote and switched the large flatscreen TV on. Bruce Wayne appeared on the screen. Alfred walked over and stood behind the couch, watching the television.
"To help with the recent destruction of the children's hospital caused by the Joker, Wayne Enterprises is donating two million dollars in the effort to rebuild it," the billionaire stated. Multiple cheers sounded throughout the crowd.
The mayor walked up to stand beside Bruce as he handed over a large check. They shook hands and multiple cameras flashed, taking pictures of the scene. The Grayson brothers and Alfred, watched the rest of the meeting before a news reporter appeared on screen, recapping what had just occurred.
Danny rubbed the back of his neck, "Wow.... two million. Must have been a lot of damage."
Dick patted his brother's shoulder, "Hey, it wasn't your fault. None of knew where old clown face had planted the bombs. The important thing is we got everyone out in time." Dick paused, "Well, almost everyone."
Danny leaned over and put his head in his hands. Alfred patted the young boys back in comfort, "Do not blame yourself Master Danny. Even a hero can't always save everyone."
Danny stood up, "That's the problem." With that, the younger Grayson brother exited the living room.
Dick turned and looked up at Alfred, "What was that all about?"
Alfred placed a hand on his chin, "I am not sure. But I assume Master Danny just needs some time to himself for a while." Alfred began to walk out of the living room. "Lunch will be ready in 20 minutes. I'm positive Master Danny will feel better by then."
Dick snickered as Alfred left. Danny was always hungry and never turned down the option of food. The older boy stood up, switching off the TV. He left the living room as well and headed to his room.
Since the two years that the brothers had been at Wayne Manor, they had finally gotten separate rooms. Danny stayed in their old room while Dick moved into the room right beside his. Dick's new room wasn't that much different from the one that the brothers used to share. The only major difference was that Dick had different kinds of posters covering his walls than Danny did.
The older acrobat opened his door and flopped onto his bed, reaching for his comic books. He propped himself against his pillows and began to flip through the colourful pages. Letting his mind drift, Dick wondered why Danny seemed so upset earlier.
This kind of thing had happened before but he usually accepted the fact that he couldn't save everyone. Why was this so different?

Danny sat in front of the large computer in the Bat Cave. He swiveled back and forth in the chair, waiting for the computer to spit out the results he asked for.
For the past two years, both Grayson brothers had been trained to fight by the Batman's side. Dick was known as Robin and Danny was known as Crow. The two helped Batman fight crime throughout Gotham City. And they were pretty good at it.
'But not good enough' Danny thought sourly. The news report of the people who had died in the hospital's destruction haunted him. Granted it was only 4 people but any number of casualties over zero was too many for the young teen.
Red letters flashed on the screen, 'SCAN COMPLETED. ANALYSIS: NO RESULTS FOUND'. Danny groaned and slammed his hands down onto the large keyboard. "How can there be no results. There has to be something on him," Danny growled.
"Danny," a smooth deep voice said from behind him. The teen whipped around to see Bruce Wayne. He immediately flushed and looked away from the older man.
"Uh... h-hi Bruce. I know I'm not supposed to be messing around down here but I... well you see I just.... I wanted to-" Bruce held up a hand, stopping the boy's rambling.
"I know Danny. And I understand," the billionaire said. Danny sighed, ready for the expected scolding. Instead, Bruce held out a piece of paper to him. Danny took the paper and read what was on it.
'1252 Ocean Parkway'
"What's this?" Danny asked, staring at the paper.
"Zucco's newest hiding place," Bruce replied.
Danny looked up at the billionaire. "You're serious? He's back in Gotham? And this is where he is?"
Bruce nodded.
"How did you find him?" Danny asked.
The older male turned away from the teen, "Let's just say I've been keeping tabs on Zucco for a long time."
Danny gripped the paper in his hand tightly. He rushed off towards the opposite side of the cave, grabbing his costume. Bruce walked over to the boy. "Don't try to stop me Bruce. I have to do this," Danny warned.
"I know. I'm just going to say it will be dangerous. Be on your guard, and remember what we talked about yesterday," Bruce advised.

The young hero known as Crow was perched on a roof overlooking a worn building. The vigilante wore a domino mask over his eyes and his hair was slicked back. He wore a skin tight black suit with blue boots and gloves. A white utility belt was around his waist. He had a blue cape attached to his shoulders and it's hood rested on his head. A small white C was located on the part of the suit over his heart.
The white lenses in Crow's mask narrowed as he stared at the building. This was the address Batman had given him, all he had to do now was make sure his target was there. Crow did a front flip off the roof and landed softly on the ground. He quietly made his way to the building and peered in through one of the boarded windows.
Inside were 3 goons, all wearing crisp, striped suits, sitting at a table. At the head of the table sat a dark haired man with narrow eyes, a thin face, and an all too familiar grin.
Tony Zucco.
Crow narrowed his eyes at the sight of the man. "Looks like I win again," Zucco stated, pulling all the cash on the table towards him.
"It's great ta' have ya back boss," a larger man wearing a blue suit and dark brown hair said in a gruff voice.
"Good to be back boys," Zucco said.
"Not to be the downer, but don't ya think it's still a bit risky to show your face in Gotham so soon?" a gangly man with stringy blond hair wearing a brown suit said in a squeaky voice. The voice was so awful, Crow actually cringed slightly.
Zucco waved his hand dismissively, "I'm not stayin' for long. Just wanted to check up on my brothers."
Crow looked around the room. There were a few machine guns lying in the corner of the room. The me didn't look to be armed themselves but Crow wasn't willing to take the risk. He would go in quickly and quietly.
Grabbing onto holes in the side of the building where bricks had fallen out, Crow quickly made it up to the second floor of the building. He tiptoed across the floor. Until his foot landed on a creaky board.
The young hero paused, holding his breath, not daring to move another muscle. "What was dat?" Crow heard the squeaky voice ask.
"Probably just rats," a smooth voice commented.
Crow heard the sound of a chair scraping against the floor, "Yeah..... rats," he heard Zucco say. After a while, the vigilante didn't hear anything. He breathed a sigh of relief only to hear the sound of a machine gun go off and bullets start shooting up at him.
Crow quickly back flipped away from the barrage of bullets to the edge of the room. After what felt like forever, the shooting stopped. Crow waited a little longer before he walked over to where he had been standing once before.
The onslaught of bullets had provided him with many peepholes. Crow peered through one of the holes to see Zucco panting in the middle of the room, a machine gun in his hand. His men were standing off to the side, staring bug eyed at their boss.
"Rats," whispered Zucco.
Just then, Crow heard the floor beneath him squeak and it fell apart. The young hero fell through the floor and landed on the table that had been used for the criminal's 'game night'. Crow let out a small groan as he quickly sat up.
"It's one of the Bat's brats!" cried the man with the gruff voice. Crow attempted to get up but let out a small grunt of pain as he clutched his knee.
"Aw, did the little hero get a boo-boo?" Zucco mocked. He pointed the gun at Crow, loading another magazine into it.
"Don't worry little birdie, Uncle Zucco's gonna make it all better."
