Chapter 29: Reunions

Yet another long chapter. Enjoy!

Third Person POV

One year and six months. It had been a year and a half since the day Daniel Grayson had disappeared from the face of the Earth. Dick Grayson would be lying if he said that he still didn't have a glimmer of hope Danny was alive out there. Bruce had told him so many times to stop, to let it go and move on. But Dick had refused, holding onto the tiny thread that was his hope of finding Danny alive and well. Finally, after a year and a month, as Dick had stared at the old picture of him and his family standing in front of their promotional poster, he decided to let it go. The team had been fighting the Brotherhood of Evil and had gone practically all over the world. There had been no sign of Danny anywhere, so he decided to move on.

Just a few days ago, all the Titans and honorary Titans had joined together in an all out battle between them and the Brotherhood of Evil, with the Titans emerging victorious. Six months had passed since Robin gave up the search and today marked the second year of Danny's disappearance. He wondered what ever became of his brother. But he didn't wonder for long before the Tower's alarms began going off.

Robin quickly stuffed the picture back in its hiding spot and ran into the main room, his friends entering after him. The large screen at the front of the room flashed with an incoming message alert. Cyborg hurried over to the control panel and accepted the message, causing Batman's face to appear on the screen. "Batman." Robin greeted, "To what do we owe the pleasure."

"The fate of the Earth." Batman replied. All the Titans quickly rushed over to the screen, curious about what Batman meant. The caped crusader began to explain, "The Universal Observatory has just reported a giant asteroid is on a collision course with Earth and unless immediate action is taken, Earth will be destroyed." The Titans gasped. But Batman wasn't finished, "The scientists estimate we have one week before the Earth is destroyed."

"One week!?" Beast Boy exclaimed, "But the new episode of-" Before the green skinned teen could finish Raven smacked him upside the head as the other Titans gasped in shock.

Batman ignored Beast Boy's comment and nodded. "The broadcast was televised and word is spreading quickly. People are panicking and it's causing countless cases of injuries and destruction. It's only a matter of time before the numbers turn into death tolls." Batman folded his gloved hands under his chin. "Countries are putting aside past grudges and working together to find a way to stop the asteroid and the Justice League is currently working out a plan as well."

"So," Robin began, "why did you contact us?" It sounded like everything was currently under control.

"Because while the Justice League is out of service we need the Titans to take control and try to calm everyone down." Batman explained. He sat back in his chair and the sound of typing could be heard. "If you can, get the Titans from Steel City as well as the honorary Titans and deploy them around the world to try and control the panic." His expression became grim beneath the cowl. "This may be one of the toughest things the Earth has faced. I'll contact you once a plan has been decided upon." And with that, the screen went dark.

Almost instantly, the Titans began calling upon all of their friends and alerting them of the situation. Titans began attempting to control the rising panic as word spread of Earth's impending doom.

Over the next few days, Titans spread across the Earth to contain the panic and countries banded together using their best technology to take out the asteroid. Missiles, rockets, anything they could think of. But nothing worked. Countless missions were attempted and yet the asteroid, or 'Disasteroid' as most people had begun to call it, was not even close to being stopped.

When the Justice League took action, some surprising results were found. One of the original plans was for Superman, paired with Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter, to fly into space and take care of the asteroid. Unfortunately, Green Lantern had been called away by the Green Lantern Corps to deal with Abin Sur so Superman and Manhunter had to go alone. But upon arriving at the asteroid's current location, the heroes learned that the asteroid was made of some kind of kryptonite-like element. Superman was could hardly fly once he got close to the asteroid, let alone attempt to stop it. Martian Manhunter attempted to stop the asteroid on his own but it proved unaffected by his strength, speed and optic blasts. The two heroes had to retreat back to Earth and report their failure to the League.

While all the other Titans were out in the field, Cyborg had volunteered to stay behind at Titans Tower to monitor any news on the asteroid. Currently, he was watching a broadcast from a town called Amity Park.

A man with blond hair wearing a pressed blue suit stood in front of the camera as he began to inform viewers of the mission. "This is Lance Thunder, reporting live from Fenton Works where a privately funded mission to stop the 'Disasteroid' is underway." The man said. Lance then walked up to a computer console where two teens were talking. One was a young boy who had raven hair with a white streak in the center and blue eyes. His frame was small and the clothes he wore looked slightly big for him. An older looking girl stood beside him with orange hair and blue eyes. She stood over the boy, giving him a slightly stern look. Lance approached the boy, "How's it going, young man?" The reporter asked.

The boy seemed to be taken by surprise as the microphone in Lance's hand was thrust toward him. "Uh." He began, looking to the camera for support. After a moment of hesitation he answered, "My dad, Jack Fenton," The boy pointed at the screen, "is piloting our new-"

"My new." A new voice said off-screen.

The boy looked angered by the interruption as he continued, "Fenton Rocket, and is on his way to destroy the asteroid."

The camera then cut to the interior of the Fenton Rocket where Jack Fenton, along with a team of what looked to be teenagers were currently flying towards the asteroid. Cyborg watched intently as Lance and Jack Fenton had a small conversation about space food. If this mission was as good as they were saying it was, then the Earth might be saved after all!

The camera went back to Lance as he stood beside an older man with grey hair tied into a ponytail, wearing a black suit. "With me now is Amity Park's mayor, Vlad Masters." Lance turned to the mayor, "I understand you've sent in your own team of experts." The reporter said.

"Oh yes," Mayor Masters replied, "Seeing as the world is in jeopardy I felt that the Masters Blasters presence was an absolute necessity"

Cyborg allowed a small grin to form on his face. Mayor Masters seemed like a very smart man. He had his own team of heroes that protected his city and he sent them into space along with the civilian man to assist.

"Plus," Mayor Masters continued, "think of how well their action figures will sell."

Cyborg's grin immediately disappeared and he found himself disliking Vlad Masters. The man obviously cared more about money than anything else.

"Dad? Mission status?" Cyborg heard the young boy call from off-screen.

"Readying seismic drill charges." Jack Fenton replied. Two drill-like missiles were fired from the rocket and drilled into the asteroid.

The camera turned to the computer console where the two teens stood. "Detonation in three," the boy began. "Two, one!" Once he had finished his countdown the asteroid exploded, shaking the rocket and hurtling pieces of rock by them. Everyone cried out in joy. The Earth was saved!

"I knew we could do it!" Jack shouted with glee, "There isn't a rock anywhere that can outsmart Jack Fenton!" Unfortunately it appeared he had spoken too soon as the real Disasteroid came into view and bypassed the rocket, nearly hitting it.

"That's the Disasteroid." One of the teens on-board the rocket said, pointing out the window, "You had us blow up the wrong one you idiot!"

Jack stared at them in shock, "But I... I couldn't have." Jack stammered, "Vladdy punched in the asteroids coordinates for me!" The three teens closed in on Jack and pounced on him, sounds of conflict came from the rocket's camera audio.

An older woman wearing a teal HAZMAT suit sat in front of the computer console, her head lowered in despair. "That... That was our last chance." She said sadly. The woman stood up from her seat and turned around glumly, wrapping her arm around the orange haired girl. The walked off camera, their expression laced with sadness and despair. The camera turned back to Lance as he closed off the broadcast.

Cyborg turned off the news, getting ready to report the failed mission to the rest of the Titans and the League. At this rate, the world was doomed.

I AM THE GREAT AND POWERFUL LINE BREAK! ADMIRE MY GREAT AND POWERFUL-NESS! NOW CONTINUE THE CHAPTER!

Danny stared down at the computer console, despair in his heart. If he still had his powers he may be able to help, he could do something. Anything! But no, he was just a regular human now. He couldn't do anything. The teen turned, his head still lowered. He walked forward a few steps and bumped into a firm figure. He looked up and prepared an apology, but held his tongue when he saw Vlad Masters face.

"Oops!" Vlad said, taking a step back and holding up his hands, "Looks like I set the wrong coordinates." He placed his hands on either side of his face, "Silly me." He glanced down at the fuming teen and grinned, "You know how bad I can be with computers."

Danny bit down on his anger and held it tightly. Over the past year Vlad had made himself a nuisance in Danny's life. Vlad had made himself Mayor of Amity Park, unleashed countless disasters and had generally made Danny's life miserable. He had even kidnapped Danny once in an attempt to try and clone him! That lead to him discovering a young female clone who he had made his honorary cousin. At this point Danny found it difficult to believe that he once actually cared about the man. He walked away from Vlad, his gaze stone hard.

"Looks like your father has failed once again, Daniel." Vlad said, examining his nails. Danny stopped in his tracks, feeling his blood boiling as Vlad insulted his adoptive father. "And at a time when the world needs a hero the most." He finished, a sly grin on his face.

Danny whipped around, narrowing his eyes at the older man. "At least he tried, Vlad." Danny retorted, "What have you done except send others to do your work for you?"

"And where are you Danny Phantom?" Vlad questioned, pointing an accusatory finger at the teen. He leaned down so that he was eye level with the teen and spread his arms wide, "Looks like my plan to shame you into hiding was even more effective than I could have hoped!" He exclaimed.

The two males got in each other's faces and Danny drew back his fist in preparation to swing at Vlad. As Danny threw his punch, Vlad easily stood up straight and avoided the hit, causing Danny to fall to the ground.

The female reported from the news office reappeared on the computer screen. "I'm just getting word that scientists now know, the Disasteroid originated from the rings of Saturn, two weeks ago."

"Saturn." Danny repeated, thinking back two weeks. His eyes widened as he recalled his battle in space with Vlad for the Infinity Map. "Your satellite exploded." Danny said as he pushed himself off the ground. He turned his body to look up at Vlad, anger in his eyes. "That's what moved the asteroid. You're the one who caused this catastrophe!" Danny shouted, pointing at Vlad.

Black rings formed around Vlad's ankles, washing over him to transform him into his ghostly alter ego. He reached down and grabbed a fistful of the teen's shirt. He lifted the teen off the ground, pulling him close to the his face. "Defeating you was the first act of my little show." Vlad told him, his fanged mouth forming a smile. He used his other hand to grab Danny's shirt and pull him even closer. "Get ready for act two!" He exclaimed happily. Vlad then threw Danny into the destroyed Fenton Portal, where the teen landed with a cry of pain. Danny heard Vlad's evil laugh just before he slipped into unconsciousness.

THE AMAZING LINE BREAK IS HERE! Hope you're all enjoying the chapter :D

A few hours after the failed Fenton mission, Cyborg was alerted to a news conference happening in Amity Park. Mayor Masters apparently had new that will impact the entire world. The half-robotic teen put the broadcast up on the main screen in the tower and contacted the Titans and the League, linking them into the broadcast.

Vlad Masters stood behind a podium at City Hall, 'Masters Blasters' standing behind him. Countless international officials had come to see his announcement and stood near the front of the crowd. "Citizens of the Earth." The Mayor began, "I have news that will impact the entire world!" Cameras zoomed in on his face and Cyborg couldn't help but notice a malicious glint in the man's eyes. "Though every attempt to destroy the Disasteroid has failed, I come to you today offering an alternative solution." Mayor Masters hopped on top of the podium, crouched so that he was still speaking into the microphone. The three teenagers behind him looked at the older man in shock and surprise. "One that I think you will find most surprising."

What happened next did in fact surprise everyone. Vlad Masters flew off the podium and hovered high above the middle of the crowd of people. Black rings formed around his waist and spread over his body, transforming him. His black suit became a white HAZMAT suit paired with a white cape, black boots and black gloves. His skin turned a sickly blue as his mouth formed fangs and his eyes became solid red. His grey hair turned white and spiked upwards. He let out a maniacal laugh as people stared up at him and gasped.

Masters Blasters readied their weapons and aimed them at Vlad. The elder halfa merely made two additional copies of himself and each Vlad fired a burst of pink energy at the three teens, knocking them to the ground with cries of pain. The copies joined back together with the original and Vlad flew over so that he now floated with City Hall behind him.

"Yes though I use my human half to walk among you, it's obvious I am a far superior creature." Vlad said proudly, lifting his chin.

A female reporter on the ground held her microphone up at Vlad and asked, "Who are you?"

Vlad smiled, "Though the world has come to know me as Vlad Masters, billionaire Mayor of Amity Park, I prefer you call me by my chosen, slightly more evil name. Vlad Plasmius!" He informed.

He placed his hands on his hips and stared directly into the camera. "I have a proposition to make." He said, "The nations of the world must agree unanimously to pay me five hundred billion dollars and make me absolute ruler." Cyborg scoffed at the ridiculous demand. Vlad Plasmius continued, "In return, I shall use my ghost powers-"

"To destroy the Disasteroid?" A male reporter asked.

"No." The fanged ghost replied, "To turn it intangible."

"Evil." A woman from the crowd shouted, "But ingenious! That way it will just pass harmlessly through the Earth!"

"It's your choice world." Vlad continued. "Be destroyed, or be saved." A fanged smile graced his features. "Oh!" He exclaimed, "And ruled by me." He raised his hand, curling it into a fist. "I eagerly await your decision!" With that, Vlad Masters let out a delightfully evil laugh and disappeared into thin air.

Cyborg stared at the screen as it went dark. He activated his communicator and contacted Robin. "Rob! Did you just-"

"Yes." Robin answered, "We all did."

"What are we going to do?" Cyborg asked, "There's no way we can trust that maniac! But he does offer a good plan." He sighed, "On the other hand those demands aren't exactly ideal."

Robin groaned, "At this point we don't have much of a choice." The raven haired teen's grip on his communicator tightened. "The Justice League is speaking with the world leaders right now. I'll get back to you once I get more information. Robin out."

Robin closed his communicator and turned to face Batman. The two heroes were currently in the Batcave. They had been watching the broadcast just like everyone else. The Dark Knight was currently sitting in front of his large computer researching Vlad Masters, or Vlad Plasmius, and the Disasteroid. "So what do you think?" Robin asked.

Batman huffed, leaning back in his chair and placing a hand on his chin. "We don't really have much of a choice do we?" He admitted. His masked eyes glazed over the large computer screen, reading everything he could about Vlad Masters and hoping to find out how he gained his powers.

Robin gasped, staring at his former mentor in shock. "You can't be serious! We can't just hand the world over to that maniac!" The young hero said incredulously.

Batman spun around in his chair and stared at Robin. "Of course not." He agreed. "That's why we're going to convince the world leaders to sign off on Plasmius's demands. Then, once the Earth is no longer in harms way, the League will take him down."

The young hero smiled at Batman's plan. He crossed his arms and chuckled, "You really do have a plan for everything." Batman turned around to face the computer again, but Robin caught the small smile on the older man's face. It was good to be back home.

Normal Line Break here. Still wishing I was on vacation.

Danny couldn't believe what he had just witnessed. Vlad Masters had revealed himself in front of the entire world. Why would he do such a thing?! What could be gained by it?!  His questions were answered when Vlad laid out his demands. Danny couldn't help but feel his blood boil. Even with the world in a state of crisis he was trying to make more money. And not only that he wanted to be ruler of the world! In a way, it was sad really.

In the basement of Fenton Works Danny, Jazz, Sam and Tucker all watched as the world leaders signed to document giving in to Vlad's demands. Vlad signed it and smiled. "And that concludes act two of what I like to call, 'One Nation under Vlad'." He said, taking the document in his hands. "Onto the finale!" Vlad boarded the Fenton Rocket and it launched into space, Jack at the helm.

From inside the rocket the four teens watched as Jack stared at his old friend from college. "How could you hold the world hostage like that, Vladdy?" Jack asked sadly, "And after all the good fortune you've had in your life."

Danny couldn't take it anymore. He stood up from behind the computer console and removed himself from the room just as he heard Vlad's reply. "Good fortune? You infect me with ghost DNA then you steal the love of my life and you call that good fortune?!"

The raven haired teen walked into the living room, plopping down on the couch. Vlad had so many good things in his life. He had multiple successful business, a large sum of wealth and many estates. If he had let go of his anger toward Jack he might have been able to find love somewhere else and not be so angry. Danny's eyes widened as he remembered what Vlad said so long ago, when he thought the teen couldn't hear him.

"You broke my heart, Daniel."

Vlad had found someone to care about. Danny. And Danny had fought him, destroying their bond. The teen shook his head. No, that was all in the past. He had made his decision and respected Old Vlad's wishes. Seeing Vlad as the monster he really was changed everything. Though he had to admit there were times he wished Vlad was still his mentor. The sounds of Vlad crying out in pain came faintly from the lab.

"What is the meaning of this?!" Danny heard the older man shout. Curious, Danny stood and started to head back down to the lab. "Ecto-ranium? Then I can never touch it. No ghost can!"  Vlad continued, "That means, the Earth is doomed! And even if it wasn't I could never go back! I've revealed my true self."

Danny listened intently as he slowly descended the stairs. Vlad couldn't make the asteroid intangible, but what if they didn't need to. What if there was some other way to save the Earth?

He listened as Vlad asked Jack for help, only to be refused. As he stepped out of the stairwell, Danny saw Vlad fly off into the depths of space, never to be seen again. He knew he should be glad that Vlad was gone, but he still couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness.

"What are we gonna do?!" Tucker shouted, looking from Jazz to Sam.

Danny's eyes lit up as he a plan formulated in his mind. "What if we didn't make the asteroid intangible?" He offered.

The three teens in front of the console turned to look at him, confused. "Then it would obliterate the Earth." Tucker answered.

Danny smirked, "Not if we made the Earth intangible."

"The whole Earth?" Sam questioned, "Intangible? Are you kidding?!"

"Yeah, you'd need like, a bazillion ghosts to do that!" Tucker cried.

Danny had to admit, it did sound like a crazy plan, but he had confidence it would work. He smiled and reached behind him, pulling out the Infi-map. "Behold the addresses of a bazillion ghosts." He said, holding out the map.

Sam smiled and stood, "Now that's the Danny I know!" She said happily, "So much for sitting on the sidelines huh?" Danny couldn't help but feel his stomach flutter as Sam smirked at him. Her expression screamed 'I told you so'.

The four teens boarded the Specter Speeder and headed off. Danny used the map to find a natural ghost portal that was about to open and they headed towards it. A natural portal opened on a billboard advertising the Nasty Burger and Sam drove the Speeder in. As the exited the portal Jazz looked around in amazement, "I don't believe it." She said, awestruck.

"Believe it Jazz." Danny replied, "Welcome to the Ghost Zone. Sort of a 'Ghosts R Us'."

"But the shelves are all empty." Tucker pointed out. "Where is everybody?" The four teens glanced around the surrounding green, noticing that there were hardly any ghosts. As the flew deeper into the Zone, they started passing average ghosts. Suddenly, a blue beam of energy struck the Speeder, sending the vehicle flying and its passengers screaming. They landed in a box made up of blue energy.

"What's going on?!" Jazz shouted.

"It was foolish of you to come here in your human form, Ghost Child." A familiar voice said. The fours teens glanced up to see the Ghost Zone's Greatest Hunter, Skulker, floating a few feet in front of the box. "Seeking refuge in the Ghost Zone like all the others?" He asked.

"What others?" Danny questioned.

"All the ghosts." Skulker replied, as if the answer was obvious. He gestured to his side to point out the surplus amount of ghosts now dwelling within the Ghost Zone. "They've returned here because you humans put your world in danger." He faced Danny, anger in his glowing green eyes, "Now the Ghost Zone is bursting at the seams!"

"But it's the flip side of our world." Tucker pointed out, "If the Earth is destroyed the Ghost Zone goes too!"

Skulker pressed a button on his belt, sending an electrical current through the box. The teens felt the pulse slowly, but it gradually became more painful. Danny reached forward with tense muscles and pressed a button on the Speeder. A satellite popped up, firing a green energy beam at the box causing it to disappear.

Sam slammed her foot on the gas and the Speeder rocketed off. Skulker and the other ghosts chased after them in hot pursuit. Danny saw them gaining ground on the Speeder and he turned to his friends. "You guys get in the escape pod." Danny ordered.

Tucker and Jazz ran to the back of the Speeder, climbing into the escape pod. Sam remained behind the wheel, her foot pressed down hard on the gas. "But Danny." She began, only to see the determined glare in his eyes. He wasn't taking no for an answer. Sam got up and climbed into the escape pod while Danny took over. He pressed the eject button, sending the pod rocketing far away from the Specter Speeder.

Danny watched as the pod flickered out of existence. He smiled, thankful for Tucker installing that cloaking device on the pod. He continued flying through the Zone, leading the ghosts far away. Unfortunately, Danny hadn't been watching where he was going and crashed right into the Behemoth. Skulker and his gang of ghosts caught up with him, now that Danny had nowhere to run.

"It's not enough you destroy your own world, now you have to destroy ours too!" Skulker said, activating a wrist blaster on his suit.

"Wait!" Danny cried, "You don't under-"

"Fire!" Skulker shouted as he aimed his blaster at the Speeder. It fired a blue beam of light and soon the other ghosts joined in, all firing upon the Specter Speeder with Danny inside. Danny shielded his face from the light as he screamed terror and pain. The Speeder broke apart, leaving Danny unprotected against the blasts. All the energy was now being fired into him!

The teen felt himself grow weak. He wondered if this was it, if this was where he would die. He hoped that Jazz, Sam and Tucker would make it out of the Ghost Zone if he didn't make it. It hurt so much. So much pain, he wanted it to stop!

"Let's show him what the Grayson brothers can do." A voice whispered in his mind. Suddenly thoughts began flying through his head. No, not thoughts, memories. A circus, losing parents, a brother, a kind man and his butler. But most importantly, soaring through the air alongside a bat and a robin.

He then saw his life with the Fentons pass before his eyes. Sibling arguments with Jazz, meeting Sam and Tucker, going through school. The accident, ghost powers, fighting crime with his two best friends. All their adventure, all their fun. How could he give that up?

Danny Fenton wasn't going to die here. Not when his life was just beginning. He had people he cared about, people who needed him. This wasn't where the young hero was going to die.

Filled with new hope, Danny felt the energy stop hurting him. Instead, it began flowing through his veins. The teen's body began to alter and change as he felt his body become more lightweight. A new source of life beat in his chest and pumped green blood through his body as his body pulsed with electric energy and his DNA altered itself. He felt it from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet. It was a familiar feeling and a welcome one at that. A green light swallowed him up as Danny felt a cooling sensation wash over his body.

When the light faded, the glowing figure of Danny Phantom floated in his place. Skulker and the ghosts looked on in fear and shock. How was this possible?!

Danny glared at them angrily. "You just made a big mistake." He told them. Balling his hands into fists Danny Phantom looked around the crowd of ghosts surrounding him. "Well gang, there's good news and bad news." He said, a smile forming on his face, "The good news, my powers are back. Bad news?" Danny began to slowly float away from them, gaining a bit of distance so his attack would wipe them all out, "My powers are back!"

He inhaled deeply and unleashed his Ghostly Wail on the surrounding ghosts. The rush of energy surging through his veins gave Danny more than enough power to send all the ghosts flying deep into the Ghost Zone. When Danny finished his wail, he didn't even feel the least bit drained.

The escape pod drifted close to him and Sam smiled, rushing to the window. "Danny! It's you!" She shouted, "Well, it was always you but-"

Danny flew over to the pod, smiling, "I know what you mean Sam. Thanks."

"Those ghosts will be back and something tells me they're not going to be too happy about helping us." Jazz pointed out.

Danny agreed and began pushing the pod towards the portal they had entered, hoping it would still be open. The four teens began to formulate a plan for when they returned to Earth. The fight wasn't over yet.

THE ALL MIGHTY LINE BREAK HAS RETURNED! ADMIRE ME AND SHOWER ME WITH OFFERINGS WORTHY OF MY ALL MIGHTINESS!

Batman and Robin continued to research and discuss plans for how to deal with the asteroid. Robin had jokingly suggested that maybe Superman could move the Earth out of the way only for Batman to give him a stone cold glare and say, "If I had a week I could list all the reasons why that wouldn't work."

Suddenly, Robin's communicator went off. He opened it and saw that Cyborg had linked him into another news alert. The teen informed Batman and the older vigilante put it up on the monitor. Lance Thunder's face appeared on screen. "Danny Phantom is back after a strange absence the teen ghost fighter has returned with a message for the world." He announced, gesturing to City Hall.

'Teen ghost fighter?' Robin wondered. A teenage boy stepped in front of the podium wearing a black and white HAZMAT suit with a DP symbol on his chest. He had tan skin, green eyes and white hair. 'Another metahuman? How have we never heard of him' Robin continued to think.

"Uh, hello there." The teen greeted, "I have a plan that could save us all from the asteroid. And this one is absolutely free! How great is that?" The white haired teen looked around the crowd. It was obvious that he was nervous about how his plan was going to be received. Especially after Vlad Plasmius's incident.

"If ghosts can't touch the asteroid, then how're you gonna stop it?" A woman from the crowd shouted.

Danny Phantom's expression became serious."Because we're not going to turn the asteroid intangible," he answered, "we're going to turn the Earth intangible."

Robin shared a look with Batman before they turned their attention back to the screen as a teen, African-American boy stepped up to the podium. He cleared his throat and opened up a laptop."Ladies, gentlemen, various nations and stuff. My name is Tucker Foley and I, am a technogeek." He said.

A screen was raised behind him as he began his presentation. "The new plan is very simple. With a strong enough ghostly power source, and a big enough transfer device, we can send the ghost intangibility across the entire planet." A blueprint of the transmitter as well as a computer generated example of the plan showed up on the screen. "This way, the Disasteroid will pass harmlessly through it." He finished.

Danny Phantom stepped back up to the podium. "That's the plan. Who's with us?"

For a moment, the crowd was silent. Then, a slow clap began. It got louder and louder until the entire crowd was clapping and cheering for Danny's plan. The ghostly hero began going over the finer details of the plan, saying that they would begin the construction in Antarctica.

Batman turned off the computer and sat back in his chair. Robin watched as his former mentor chewed on Danny's plan. "It just might work." He admitted. "If we can ensure that every corner of the globe is turned intangible, then the Earth will be saved." The caped crusader leaned forward and began typing into his computer. "Contact your team and have them meet in Antarctica. Phantom's going to need all the help he can get. I'm contacting the League right now."

Robin smiled and quickly activated his communicator, prepared to send the message. The chances of the Earth's survival just got a whole lot higher.

hello. it's me, the littlest line break. i hope you all are liking the chapter. ^-^

Over the next few days, Tucker Foley led the construction of the transfer device while teams led by Jack and Maddie Fenton spread the transfer cable across the globe. It was currently day two of the project and Danny Phantom stood in the cold of Antarctica with Sam Manson and Jazz Fenton, looking proudly upon the transfer device. People had been working tirelessly to finish it and it was almost nearing completion.

"Need any help?" A voice said from behind them. The three teens whirled around, with Danny getting himself into a battle stance. But who they saw caught them all by surprise. For standing before them was the Man of Steel himself, Superman!

News of world events didn't really make it to the small town of Amity Park, but practically everyone in the world knew of Superman and the other members of the Justice League. "Y-You're... Superman" Danny began as he floated to the ground, staring up at the older hero in awe.

Superman nodded and smiled, "And you're Danny Phantom. The teen with the plan to save the world." He gestured behind him, revealing a few other members of the Justice League, as well as a few other heroes that looked to be around Danny's age.

The younger heroes were very unique. There a boy with green skin, a girl with bright red hair that hovered above the ground, a dark-skinned male that was half robotic, a girl wearing a deep purple cloak that hid her face with a shadow, and a boy with spiky raven hair wearing a colorful costume.

The teens saw Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, Flash, and Batman. As Danny's eyes fell upon Batman, an image of the Man with the Face of a Bat flashed across his mind. His breath hitched in his throat and Danny quickly focused his gaze back on Superman.

Danny smiled, "We'd be very grateful for the help." He said. Superman nodded and the League split into two teams. Flash, Superman and Wonder Woman would help spread the cables across the globe while Batman, Manhunter and Aquaman stayed in Antarctica and helped with the construction of the transfer device. The five teens that had come with the League joined in on the construction project.

With them helping, the pace quickened substantially. By the next day, all the work was nearly finished. "Not bad huh? Now all we need is a massive ghost power source." Sam said as she looked at the almost complete transfer device. She turned to Danny, "You sure you don't want us to go with you?"

Danny nodded, "I'm sure. I can move faster on my own." A thought crossed his mind. "By the way, where do Mom and Dad think 'Danny Fenton' is right now?"

Jazz smiled, "With them." She crossed her arms as her smile turned into a smug grin, "I re-dressed the Tuckbot-9000 to look and act like you. They'll never know the difference."

The white-haired teen smiled and pulled out the Infi-map. "I gotta go." He said, "According to the map a portal is going to open up over the pole any minute now." While Danny looked up at the sky for any sign of the portal, Jazz threw herself at Danny, wrapping her arms around him in a hug.

"See ya back here soon little brother." She gave Danny a quick kiss on the forehead before walking off, leaving Danny and Sam all alone.

Sam grabbed Danny's wrist and pulled his hand toward her, placing a small object in his hand. Danny looked at his palm once Sam released his wrist and saw the engraved ring he had given her back when his relationship with Valerie had failed. "It's the ring you were gonna give Valerie. You asked me to hold it, remember?" They locked eyes as Sam flipped the ring to show the word 'Wes' turn into the name 'Sam'. "Something tells me it was really meant for me." She pushed Danny's hand closer to him, "Take it with you, but promise to bring it back." She grabbed Danny's hand and closed it, the ring inside his gloved fist, "If you promise then I know I'll see you again."

Danny glanced down at his hand that held the ring and then back up at Sam. "If we make it through this-"

"When, we make it through this." Sam corrected.

Danny smiled, "Right. When we make it through this. I-I have a few things I need to talk to you about."

Sam smiled back, "I think I'd be willing to listen. And no matter how this thing ends," Sam looked down, "this whole ride we've been on together." Her violet eyes rose and found Danny's green ones, "I wouldn't change it for the world." She reached down to clasp Danny's hands in hers, "Not one bit."

Danny removed his hands from Sam's hold and grabbed her arms. "Me neither." He said, "I..." The teen trailed off at a loss for words.

Seeing that he had gone silent, Sam leaned forward and gave him a small kiss on the cheek. Danny's eyes went wide and he looked at Sam, who's head was lowered. Slowly, Danny raised his hand and placed it under her chin, delicately lifting her head as if she was made of glass and one wrong move would break her. They locked eyes once more, their faces so close their noses were practically touching. Danny's heart beat rapidly in his chest as his feelings for Sam finally broke free and came into the light.

The two teens leaned closer until their lips met, causing explosions of butterflies in their stomachs. Danny cupped Sam's cheeks in his hands as they continued to kiss. The world around them seemed to melt away and the cold disappeared altogether.

Finally they broke apart, pressing their foreheads together. "Wow," Danny said, a cheeky grin on his face, "Remind me to save the world more often."

"Go." Sam told him, her expression pure bliss. Without another word Danny flew into the air and phased into the Fenton Ops center in its jet form and looked around for the natural portal.

A green portal swirled into existence and Danny nodded, "Right on cue." He activated the jet, stealing one last glance at Sam before flying into the portal.

Author Line Break here! Making a quick appearance before Normal yells at me again ;)

Back in the transfer devices main operation room, Tucker and Jazz sat in front of a monitor, tracking the Fenton Jet. Tucker smiled as he watched the tracker near the portal. "He's coming back!" Tucker shouted.

From the tower, Danny's friends and family along with the member of the League and Titans watched as the jet exited the portal. Danny's friends and family cheered as they saw it come into sight. But their cheers soon died away as they saw the jet loose control and fly off into the distance, crashing into a nearby mountain in a large explosion.

Sam ran to the window of the control room, "Danny. No! He can't be!" She shouted, her throat tightening.

Tucker was alerted by a device on the control panel. He rushed to it and saw that the Disasteroid was quickly drawing closer to Earth. "It's coming!" He shouted. Everyone in the control room watched as the asteroid eclipsed the sun.

Jack pulled Maddie and Jazz close. "Listen, I just want you all to know, I love you. And I'm so proud of each and every one of you for trying your best." For once in his life, Jack Fenton sounded completely serious.

Jazz placed her hand on her father's, "We love you too Dad."

Tears formed in Maddie's eyes. "At least we're all together." Maddie heard her daughter's sobs and looked over to her.

Tears were pouring out of Jazz's eyes as she faced her mother, "I... Oh Mom, there's something you need to know." Jazz's eyes pointed at the Tuckbot-9000 standing beside them.

Maddie frowned and walked over to the robot. She grabbed it's hair and yanked it off, gasping. "A robot!" She cried, "Where's Danny? Jasmine, where's your brother?!"

Still crying, Jazz looked out the window to the smoke rising from the explosion where the Fenton Jet had crashed. Jack and Maddie gasped as they realized what Jazz meant and stared at the explosion.

"Jack, where's Danny!" Maddie cried.

Before Jack could even think of a response Sam shouted, "Look, the portal!" Everyone rushed to the windows and saw Danny Phantom exit the portal, a horde of ghosts following after him. Everyone immediately rushed to their stations and began readying the device as the ghosts swarmed around the spire of the transfer device and latched on, transferring the energy into the spire and charging up the device. "Tucker! How... Much... Longer?" Danny's voice asked over the intercom in the control center.

Tucker watched as the asteroid drew closer to Earth, waiting for the perfect moment. The ghosts wouldn't be able to hold their intangibility forever so they had to time this just right. A few seconds later Tucker shouted "Now!"

Danny heard the command through his earpiece and turned himself intangible, spreading that energy into the spire. All the other ghosts quickly followed suit and their intangibility soon spread across the globe. As the asteroid drew closer, Tucker feared that he had miscalculated at the asteroid would make contact with Earth. But, just in the nick of time, the last of the Earth became intangible and the asteroid began to pass right through it.

The ghosts attached to the spire began to feel their abilities begin to reach their max and most began to cry out in strain. "Where's the asteroid?" Danny shouted into his mic. Just then, the asteroid passed right through them and just like that, the Earth was saved.

The ghosts dropped their intangibility and flew away from the spire. Jack and Maddie embraced, Sam and Jazz hugged and Tucker sat back in his seat, releasing a sigh of relief. Everyone immediately rushed out of the tower as Danny Phantom descended to the ground. Sam ran over to Danny and jumped on him, wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his torso. Jazz followed, reaching around Sam to hug Danny and finally Tucker leaped on, causing them all to fall to the ground.

"Awesome." Sam said.

Jazz patted Danny on the back, "Nice job little brother." She congratulated. "Or should I say, hero."

Danny looked up to see Skulker standing a few feet away. Danny got to his feet, "I don't know what to say other than, thanks Skulker." The hunter crossed his arms, looking unimpressed. "To all of you." Danny finished.

Skulker stepped forward, roughly grabbing Danny by the front of his uniform. "Don't get too mushy on us, Ghost Child. Remember, I'll never stop hunting you." Skulker smiled, "And now that you've saved your world, you're a much more valuable prize."

The hunter released Danny and the teen smiled at him. Skulker then flew into the air, leading the other ghosts back into the Ghost Zone as the portal closed behind them.

The next few hours were filled with congratulations from everyone. Danny was pulled off to the side by Jazz to talk to his parents, where they revealed that they had figured out Danny's secret and they loved and accepted him no matter what. They did want to run a few tests on him when they got home though, just to make sure that his transformation back into Danny Phantom didn't cause any damage and that he wasn't going to experience any major side effects from the rush of ectoplasmic energy forced into him.

Once the crowds began to dissipate as people headed to their homes, Superman and the League approached Danny to congratulate him. While they were congratulating him, Danny couldn't help but notice the way Batman and the spiky haired teen hero were eyeing him. They were having a hushed conversation off to the side and kept stealing glances at him.

Batman appeared to be arguing with the teen on something, and the teen was being firm with his opinion. Finally, Batman sighed and nodded, agreeing to whatever it was the teen had been arguing with him.

Danny decided not to worry about it too much, but a familiar hint from a certain Time Master rang in his head.

"Keep an eye out for the Bird and the Bat."

Normal Line Break again. Hoo boy this is a long chapter. We might need to start thinking of hiring more Line Breaks.

One week later, Robin sat in the living room of the tower, watching the news. Apparently a statue made in Danny Phantom's honor was erected in every capitol of every nation in the world. Robin smiled and silently thought, 'Way to go, Danny.'

A message alert flashed on the main screen of the tower and Robin switched off the TV, accepting the transmission. Batman's stern face appeared on the screen. Robin became very serious. "Anything?" He asked simply.

And Batman's reply, though short as it was, gave Robin renewed hope. "It's him."
