Chapter 19

When Reece arrived home, he went in his room, lieing on his bed.

Benji and John sat in the living room giving him space.

*Suddenly his phone rang*

*He answered*

"Yo, who this?" Reece said.

"Chippy" He answered.

"Wahgwaan?" Reece asked.

"Deh yere enuh, just did a hail you up" He said.

"Ye, kinda surprised you call stills" Reece said.

"Ye mon, sorry bout everything bro" He said.

"Yuh should be! Box mi fi box yuh" Reece said.

"Cool nuh[he laughed] so how everything, here shawty pregnant and you outta town" He said.

"Ye...good" Reece said.

"Yuh turn father before me, wah" He said[then he laughed again]

Reece shaked his head.

"Glad fi hear from yuh still" He continued.

"Ye so weh ya do?" Reece asked.

"Oh me a prepare fi a dance." He said.

"Oh, well take care bro " Reece said.

"Yh man, see yuh around" He said.

The phone hanged up.

The following day......

Benji came to talk to Reece.

"Benji !" Reece said.

"Ye!" Benji jr. answered.

"I never tell you....but I'm telling you now" Reece said.

"What is it?" Benji asked.

"The Harringtons are walking free, knowing they committed a crime " He said.

Benji was shocked.

"I told you they were in jail, caz me never want you find them and attack them" Reece said.

"But now! You're the only solid evidence right now, so talk please" Reece said.

Benji was furious. He never wanted to go back to that awful moment but he had to. He wanted justice.

He sat down beside Reece, John came sitting with them too.

Benji took a deep breath in and let it out.

"Take your time benj" John said while patting his back. "I know you feel pressured, but we were waiting until you were settled to ask you, what happened that day" John stated.

Benji fortunately remembered everything that day. It was unfortunate for him though, he couldn't forget.

"Sleepless nights, bwoy it did rough" Benji said.

"So where were you staying" John asked.

"With my girlfriend but we left, so I and came here" Benji said.

"But it all started when....my fada got caught having sex with Mrs. Devil Harrington" He said.

"They saw me as a humble youth, eighteen like you at the time [ he pointed at Reece] I wasn't working , and the Harringtons took me in and took care of me like their own son, but after a while they keep sending me to deliver drugs to people whenever they ordered, Daddy never knew about that, the one time I successfully sold drugs to someone, they took it as a habit to keep sending me, one time I almost got shot, I ran so far,all the way to John house" Benji explained.

"So far???" Reece asked.

"Yup, A true" John verified.

"So when I got there, I told John everything then he told me to tell daddy, caz daddy was asking where the money was coming from." Benji said.

"So I spent the night here, go back to daddy yaad, the next day, that's when mi tell him everything" Benji said.

"Out a anger, he pulled out a piece of paper and wrote down everything that took place cause he was tired of lieing to your mom." Benji said.

"I remember when Raymond came to me and asked 'what is going on?' [He paused to wipe the tears falling] " and I said nothing" Benji said.

"Weh me did deh?" Reece asked.

"The clinic with your mom" Benji answered.

"After he wrote the note, he raced up to the house, I quickly grabbed the phone and called John" Benji said.

"John didn't pick up the first time, so I went to stop him myself" Benji said.

*John cried*" Sorry bout that, a now mi regret not answering" John said.

"So when I went up there, I catch up to him, and his last words were: 'Stay outside' and that was it" Benji said.

"Being the person I was, I went a little close to the door and peeked" Benji said.

"The conversation was going smooth but It went left, and Harrington pulled the trigger and shot him in the head" Benji said.

"Just imagine standing there cyaa do anything" Benji said.

They all started weeping.

"So i- i- ran away, all I could see was black, trying to get it out my head, but the memory kept playing in my head over and over" He said while crying.

"They're going down!" John yelled.

Both John and Reece hugged him.

*That night....*

The Harringtons and Roseés celebrate Sasha's return.

There were cakes, pizzas, burger & drinks. The place was decorated in Sasha's favorite color- Purple.

Though everyone was happy to see her, she wasn't happy to be there. The whole time she was frowning.

"C'mon Sash! Cheer up!" Mrs.Harrington yelled.

Sasha gave them her famous plastic smile to them.

They all sat around, getting ready to cut the cake.

"Sasha, me and your mother want to say something to you" Mr.Harrington said.

Sasha went towards them to talk, while the Roseés were out there dancing around having fun, taking pictures.

"Listen, it's the first time I'm not sure if we're actually going to jail or not" Said Mrs.Harrington.

"And we want to see you, to hug you and tell you we love you" Mr.Harrington said.

"We're fighting this case Sweety, trust me" Mrs.Harrington said.

Sasha heart softened. She started crying.

"I know you like Reece, but he's not the father, Allen is, and look at the bright side, you'll be financially stable, incase we lose money" Mrs.Harrington said.

Sasha shaked her head, for the first time in a longtime, she felt sympathetic for her parents and plus she saw that it was best for Reece. He can focus on his future now without her holding him back.

She loved him so she's willing to let him go.
She hugged her parents and went back inside.

"I'm going to use the bathroom" Said Sasha.

"Ok hun, don't stay too long" Mrs.Harrington said.

When she was heading to the bathroom for some reason she stubbed her toe, tripping turning over the bin in the bathroom.

"Are you okay love?" Allen asked.

"Yes!" She yelled.

She was taking up the garbages that fell out now, which was just a bunch of tissues, bathroom trash and a few papers.

She successfully got all of them back in.

As she sat on the toilet, she noticed there was still a big piece of paper left hiding behind the door.

'How did you get there? And how did I missed you?' She said to herself.

After peeing, she stretched for the paper. Took it up, pressing and creasing out the crushes in the paper to read it. She furrowed her eyebrows while reading.

Instantly......

She kicked down the bathroom door and went straight to the living room where everyone was.

They all looked at her, as she screwed her face up about to yell.

"What is it honey?" Mrs.Harrington asked.

"Reece was the father all along...."Sasha said showing the paper to them.
