9. Craved ■ Georgia
When Georgia met Ed her life changed forever. In the beginning he dogged her, talked shit to her and he
used to hit on her.
She didn’t know what it was about
his eyes and the warmth of his smile, but as she got to know him.
After finding out that he went through a lot of emotional abuse as a kid, she grew closer to him.
She never gave up. Ed asked her to marry him over pasta at an Italian restaurant.
She said "yes," despite everything he’d put her through.
They were married two weeks later.
Princess couldn’t attend the wedding because she didn’t believe in them.
Thank God for Princess Webster’s father...
He single-handedly got a hold of Ed and beat some sense into him. Ed was like the son he never had. Ed finally matured, became respectful and responsible and got it together.
After marrying Georgia, he truly showed her that he could be loving and sensitive and attentive and caring.
Now Ed is in love with another woman. Call your lawyer and get a divorce.
Thank God Ed and I don’t have children together, even though we were going to start trying in a few weeks.
He wanted a son and he told me he didn’t want to die and not leave behind a child to carry on his name. I wanted to give him what his heart desired.
Now I never will.
Tears fell on the play. Several words looked smeared. This was the play that won her rave reviews and a scholarship to Spellman College.
If it wasn’t for this screenplay, I would have never gone to college. I didn’t even want to go to college.
I just wanted a high school diploma because my Daddy never earned one and Mama did, but she never put it to use or use it to its full potential and I
wanted to be different.
I wanted to be better than my parents. This play did just that. That was the play her parents were proud of.
That was the play her high school would use for future reference for other drama students.
That was the play Priscilla and Eduardo attended and loved.
That was the play that changed her life for the better and gave her high self-esteem.
It brought forth a self confidence she didn’t have growing up in a loveless home with an overbearing father and a mother who let her husband walk all over her like floor mats.
That was the play that detailed a lonely wife who cooked dinner and was having an imaginary phone
conversation with a friend to keep her mind off of what she didn’t have in her life.
The very same play she reenacted when she caught Princess and her husband having sex in her guest bathroom the morning after Ed’s very successful and much hyped and talked about party.
Georgia remembered that morning well. It has played over and over in her mind like a movie she hated.
She remembered standing at the guest bedroom door, her hands flatly pressed on the paneling…
Her eyes locked on Princess sucking her man’s dick in ways she never had…while he sat on the toilet.
Loving it.
Needing it.
Craving it.
In ways he never craved Georgia...
