34. Co-Defendants
They were co-defendants. Georgia and Tina. They were whisked into a public nightmare. Their faces splashed across every newspaper across the country.
On the TV their lives played out. They were being talked about in businesses and hospitals.
Both of the women, once very good
friends, were pitted against each other. They were looking at life in prison for the murder of Princess Webster and her unborn child.
Princess’s father wasn’t fit emotionally to come to the trial. Temporarily, he checked himself into a mental ward.
He said he would kill Tina and Georgia if he hadn’t. He was under 24 hour surveillance.
Georgia’s lawyer was a recently graduating scholar from Yale. Coming from a family high on the pedigree chain, she was white, blonde and knew her shit.
Georgia paid out the ass to get her on the case. But from how it looked, Liliana Gray said, point blank, “We have to enter a plea. Because if you fight this you will lose. Thomas and Ed are testifying against you.
Both of these men were obviously in love with your ex best friend and their passion alone, their hurt and grave pain will be enough to get you convicted.”
“I don’t want to plea. I want to go all the way through with it. I wasn’t in my right frame of mind. And I hate spending time in jail. It’s horrible in there.”
“I will see to it.”
“I hope so. I want to win. She shouldn’t have taken my husband,” Georgia spat icily. Tina, sitting next to her, was trapped within herself.
She was already raped in jail and she was threatened. Big Pussy Dropper told her that if she snitched her out she would die a horrible death.
Tina knew she was being punished, and she couldn’t believe she lost custody of
her son.
