Tina was on the phone with her lawyer. She wanted to get the divorce over with. Sure,
part of her loved Thomas. But the other part didn’t want to give him children. The
thought of it killed her inside.

She had an explosive career as a Journalist. She didn’t have time to walk around barefoot and pregnant.

She didn’t have time to play desperate housewife. She didn’t feel like being at
his beck and call.

So sure she took birth control pills and didn’t tell him. Why not? Who said you had to tell your man every damn thing about you.

Sometimes you had to keep things to yourself. Sometimes you had to put yourself first.

Sometimes it had to be all about you and not your man because when it was all about your man they bragged about it to their friends.

They talked bad about you and let their boys know that “Hey, she does what I want her to do,” and she burst his fragile, egotistical bubble.

“So how long will the divorce take?”

“When he signs the divorce decree it will take up to six months.”

“Why so long?”

“Well, its very heart wrenching. Assets have to be split up, bank accounts frozen until the judge works out the legalities. If you own houses and cars, the judge also deals with that.”

I just want it to be over. “He can have everything. I just want him out of my life. I don’t want to be attached to him at all.”

“But what about your son?”

Tina thought about it all of three seconds. Her mind wasn’t changing. “He’s not the father.”

“But he signed the birth certificate.”

Tina frowned. Lawyers are always trying to milk your piggy banks! “Because he felt he had to. He was in love with me. But he’s not the father. I tricked him in the beginning and made him think he was.”

“I’ll look into that for you. Don’t just walk away from everything. You said he cheated on you, right?”

Tina needed a tonic. “Yes.”

“And you said this Princess girl is pregnant with his child?”

Tina burned up just thinking about it. The whore needs to die a horrible death! Tina’s heart blackened, and in her mind she wished every ill, inconceivable thought
against Thomas and Princess.

“Yes.”

“Well lets play our cards right. The proof is in the pudding. If Princess’s baby comes out and DNA proves he’s the father then, baby, you walk away with alimony, the house and his car and the bank accounts, too. Adultery is frowned on.”

Tina thought about it. Yea. I’ll be damned if I see another whore living in my house.

Tina’s eyes clouded over with evil. “I agree. Let’s do that.”

“Can you get them to take a paternity test?”

Tina thought about it. I don’t know about this. “I doubt it.”

“I got you, Tina. I’ll have the judge subpoena the test. That way if they refuse it makes them look bad, holds them in contempt of court and they could be facing jail time.”

Tina said, “OK. I’m in.”
