Chapter Seven, Girl's Day Out

Chapter Seven, Girls Day Out

"What was Kai and Kol arguing about this morning?" Davina asked, as she and Evie browsed the shops. They needed a girl's day out away from all the men in their life despite loving them fiercely.
"Oh, Kai is being overprotective and keeps cockblocking Kol and I. He said he doesn't want to become an uncle so soon after reuniting with me. Nor does he want to give me away so soon, never mind us not even being engaged yet." Evie said, rolling her eyes, looking at a beautiful sparkly dress. Another reason for the shopping trip was Marcel was holding a ball at the compound in two weeks and the pair wanted to get good dresses before the shops were cleared out.

"I bet Kol loved that." Davina commented sarcastically, rolling her eyes as she perused a gown that had caught her attention.
"You have no idea." Evie sighed, before the pair burst out into raucous giggles. Evie held the cream sparkly dress up to her in the mirror before shaking her head and putting it back when she found a one shouldered, sparkly rose pink dress that would suit Davina perfectly.
"D, what about this for you?" Evie asked, holding out the dress.
"Omg that's perfect! Thank you. Now, I've just gotta find you one." Davina gushed excitedly, rushing around the store trying to find the perfect dress for her friend.

Ten minutes later she found a gorgeous high neck burgundy dress that had sequins and diamantés at the top and flared out in the skirt.
"Evie?" Davina asked, rushing over to her friend who was picking out a wrap, jewellery and shoes for Davina.
"Yeah?" Evie asked, only to gasp as she turned around spotting the beautiful gown. "That's beautiful! Thank you." She hugged her friend tightly as they selected a wrap, jewellery and shoes for Evie before they paid and left the store. Heading to another shop to get their nails done and then to the hairdressers to get a trim. Before they headed back home to the overprotective men in their lives. They were really excited for the ball and they were happier than either girl could remember being in the first part of their lives.
