I didn't tell it to follow me...

I walked around the kitchen, cutting vegetables and trying to disguise it as meat. The one thing my kids hates were green food. Everything except for lettuce which I'll admit is a bit weird but I could make chicken or just put cereal in a bowl and they would be happy.

"Mom!" I heard Uriel call for me.

"I here..." I answered him and look to my youngest twins who were busy drawing on the walls. That's why we have washable paint.

"Mom, I can explain..." I heard him say.

"Explain wha-OH MY GOD  LUCIEN!" I screamed as I saw the full grown bear beside my thirteen year old son.

"Wha-FUCK!" Lucien came into the kitchen and mimicked my reaction.

"Okay, no one move." I said slowly.

"Oh look mama. Can we keep her?" Rhea squealed in utter delight.

"No honey, shh... Lucien get the kids somewhere safe. I'll take care of it." I said softly. Almost as sensing my reach for my hidden gun it stood up on its back legs almost bipedal.

"Relax mom. It's Friendly." Uriel said and hugged it.

"I'm going to have a heart attack." I choked out.

"It just followed me home." He reasoned.

"Can we keep him?" William asked.

"It's a girl!" Rhea argued.

"Nah ah!" He retorted.

"WE ARE NOT KEEPING IT!" I screamed as I pulled my son from the bear. It roared as I did so.

"He said hi." Uriel smiled.

"See mama, she's friendly." Rhea tried to get closer but Lucien pulled her and her brother close.

"It's a guy." William argued.

"I'm going to go bald..." Lucien said to me.

"Ditto..." I said back. Ditto indeed...
