In Sonia's Room

Both the besties were talking about their life and the turn of events that happened in the past two years.

"So, Arjun was proposing to you for a long time. But you still didn't accept his proposal. Poor soul!" Rekha said while playing with Trishna.

"Yes, I don't know why I rejected him. Wherein I could have spent my life with him. He is a good-hearted person. He helped me a lot during my post pregnancy period," Sonia explained her the scenario that happened between her and Arjun who used to help for doctors visit, deal with her depression and such.

"Maybe, you were still in love with Mr. Yashhuu!" Saying so Rekha gave a hearty laugh but got curious seeing her bestie sulk at the mention of Vinay.

Sonia got up and started to keep Trishna's cloth in her bassinet. Rekha sensed some tension between the husband and wife.

"Nia, is everything alright between you two?" Rekha asked her putting the sleepy Trishna in her crib.

Sonia smiled weakly and nodded.

Rekha was still not satisfied. She held her chin with her index finger and thumb asking her again.

Sonia teared up and cried biting her lips. Rekha hugged her and tried to stop her crying.

After some time, when Sonia relaxed, she explained everything to Rekha. The incident in Shimla where she told those harsh words to her husband and the ignorance that he showed afterwards. Even, her conversion with Appupa who revealed about Hanisa and Vinay's trauma and told her how Vinay helped her recognise the truth about Ronny.

Rekha looked at her bestie with disappointment and spoke

"Nia, how could you say such things to him! You know how much he loves you!"

Sonia nodded still sniffing "I know Reh! But now he doesn't want to listen to me! He just ignores me all the time. I don't know what to do,"

Rekha spoke "Have you apologised to him?"

Sonia looked at her saying "Every day! I say to him sorry every day. But still, he won't even look at me,"

"Nia, you should tell him, show him how much you love him, care for him and trust him. Believe me, he will understand your pain..." Rekha suggested her like a true friend who cut her off saying.

"It's no use, Reh! He just doesn't want me anymore! Maybe he thinks I am just a burden for him. Just the mother of his child and nothing else," Sonia said giving up.

"I mean. Look at me. I have gone fat, old, and a crying fool! Why would he want me? When he can..." Saying so Sonia burst into tears again.

Rekha held her tightly saying "You are beautiful inside out! On the contrary, you have become more beautiful than the last time I saw you, Nia! Trust me, he still loves you. Even more!"

"No, he doesn't! I have seen it in his eyes. He has only hatred for me. Reh, I am not going to try anything. Because, he doesn't want me to. So, I am just going to stay with him as his child's mother. That's all," Sonia said smiling weakly. She bit her lower lip to stop her crying.

Sonia covered her face to silence her whining. Her whole body shaked with her cries. She wanted to express her sadness to someone, as she didn't want her family to know the problem persisting between her and Vinay.

Rekha tsked at her and thought that her friend needs to come out of her self-hate depression.

After few days

Rekha called Reena, Latha and Sonia to join her for her wedding shopping as she was in need of expert advice from her ladies gang.

Mrs. Menon and Mrs. Nair took the kids and engaged them in Nair's house while the ladies went for their shopping spree.

At the shopping mall.

"Chech, I think this will suit Rekha very much. As it's her colour, purple. Do you think, hm...?" Sonia told the ladies who were looking at the saree that was worn by Rekha.

Rekha twirled to give them a more defined look.

"Hm...it is good. But I think we should go with maroon. As it is more traditional. Right, Latha?" Reena gave her opinion.

Latha nodded and spoke "Maybe, you can wear it for your reception. I mean you need to change at least three dresses, right?"

The ladies agreed and selected some more sarees and dresses for the new bride-to-be.

Sonia was going through the dress counter. She came across the gown section and stopped at after seeing a material which caught her eye. She removed it from the aisle and bought near her body, checking in the mirror.

She liked how the fabric blended with her body. She thought to try it on and went to the changing room.

When she adorned it, she checked in the mirror and saw that the fabric suited her very well.

So, she clicked a selfie and sent it to her bestie.

Suddenly her phone pinned with a message. She thought it would be Rekha but to her horror it was Vinay. She opened the text message with fear and felt her tears on her cheeks after reading the message.

'What is the meaning of this?!'

'Kindly refrain from sending me such messages and pics!'

Sonia wiped her tears and replied 'I am sorry, it was an accident. It would not happen again.'

She then removed the dress and wore her own clothes. She discarded the idea of buying the dress after the message sent by her husband.

She sulked and went to sit beside the trio who were engaged in their talks.

Vinay's office

Vinay smiled at the pic sent by his wife who was not looking like she had a 10-month-old baby. He liked the photo that was sent by her, making her look fit and healthy. The regular dance practice had tucked her tummy and made her slender with well-proportioned body.

He made the pic as his wallpaper to see her smiling face every time he opens his phone. He wanted to message a cute note but since he was in the meeting, he was shocked to receive her message with an adorable pic. He was flustered by the pic and couldn't contain himself during the meeting.

So, he called the boutique from where the ladies were shopping for Rekha and ordered the dress worn by his wife. He wanted to surprise her with the dress to compensate for his rude message.

Sonia's room in Nair house

After the shopping, Sonia was tired and went to take a warm bath to erase the pain in her tensed muscles.

After reaching home, Sonia took Trishna and bathed her, fed her and made her nap.

Then she went to the washroom and filled the bathtub with warm water. She put some mild music and bought some soft drink near the tub.

She removed her clothes and stepped inside the tub to relax with her soft drink.

After some time, she felt some soft touches on her cheeks. Sonia had dozed with the effect of the relaxing salt in the bath tub. She couldn't decipher the time that she spent in the bath tub.

She opened her eyes to find her dark brown eyes.

She got startled and backed a little, cautious to not reveal herself.

"Trishna was crying when I came to take her. You must have dozed off. Don't worry I have taken her to mom. She is playing with her and having her food. You can relax a bit more if you want. But...*sigh* don't be too long, you don't want to catch a cold. Hm...?" Vinay caressed her cheeks while looking in her eyes which teared up unknowingly.

"I am sorry that you had to see me like this! I closed the door but it..." Sonia looked down and tried to convince him with her words.

Vinay huffed a smile and said "The door lock is broken, I guess. It's not your fault. Just take your time,"

Vinay then got up and went outside the washroom. Sonia wheezed and cried with her flowing tears.

Vinay came out with tears in his eyes hearing her sniveling.

He wanted to hug her, console her but her words used to always circle over his head.

It reminded him how much she hates him.

After her bath, Sonia came out of the washroom drying her hair. She went to the dressing table adjacent to the bed to find a package on the bed.

She got curious and went to open it. She was shocked to see the same dress that she had worn in the boutique with a note

'Looked great on you. Hope you could wear it for our special occasion.

- Your Vinay'

Sonia got teary eyed reading the message making her smile a bit at his small and sweet gesture.

The next day, Sonia took Trishna to her parent's house for they missed their grandchild and Appupa his.

Rekha had come to Menon house to formally invite them to her wedding alongwith Shiva and his friend.

Sonia was surprised to see her friend from Shimla after a long time.

Both started conversing and laughed with the past events that they had shared in the school and their students.

Rekha saw a genuine smile on her bestie's face after a long time.

"Hi, you must Arjun that my Nia talked about?" Rekha came between the two friends who were giggling nonstop.

The trio then started talking about the wedding and their plan to throw the bachelor's party for both the new couple.

In the evening, Sonia bid her bye to her family. Arjun came outside with her and Trishna talking about his plan to shift to Mumbai regarding the job offer from one of the universities.

Sonia was happy for her friend and glad to know that he had moved on successfully in his life.

Suddenly she heard a car horn and got startled to see her husband stride towards them with the usual angry gaze.

"Arjun, is it? How come you are here?" Vinay started to converse with him ignoring Sonia as usual.

"It is my friend's wedding. So, he invited me here. How are you?" Arjun explained with a poker face.

"Happy, can't you see!" Vinay spoke with a tint of jealously which puzzled Sonia.

She barged in their talks saying her goodbyes to Arjun and invited him to her house for lunch the other day.

Both of them kept silence during the start of the ride.

"Why did you invite him without my permission?" Vinay asked her gripping the steering wheel tightly.

Sonia looked at him perplexed and answered "Just like that. He wanted to see the family. So,"

"So, you invite anyone to see my family, huh?" Vinay glared at her. Sonia was getting annoyed at his behaviour. She thought that he would have softened which was reflecting in the lovely note with the dress, he had sent her the other day.

"Fine, I will call him and cancel the invite!" saying so she picked her phone and messaged Arjun's number with an excuse to not come to her house.

"You have his number?" Vinay enquired again, gritting his teeth.

Sonia clenched her jaw and looked at him "He is my friend. Of course, I will have his number,"

"Do you call him often?" Vinay was getting restless with her answers.

"I didn't call him ever since we left for Mumbai. I met him at Rekha's for the first time after that. So, no," Sonia tried to convince him looking straight.

"Good," Vinay said his final words. Sonia shaked her head at his frustration.

The coming days, Sonia was feeling relaxed as she had busied herself with her bestie's wedding preparations.

Three days before the wedding, Rekha had told Sonia to get her lehenga from the boutique after the alteration.

Sonia took the lehenga from the boutique to go to Rekha's house.

She went inside a café plus library to get some juice to cool herself.

She was sitting near the window seat of the café.

"Madhu, what are you doing here?" Arjun who was carrying a set of books, called her to which Sonia smiled widely.

She welcomed him to join her for a chat.

They were chatting peacefully when Sonia got a message from her mom to reach Rekha's place asap.

Arjun insisted to drop Sonia to Rekha's house. After multiple attempts, Sonia agreed to his offer.

When they reached Rekha's house, Arjun dropped her near the gate and bid his byes as he had to report to the university tomorrow morning.

Sonia went back to the house but was not aware that a certain husband was watching her from his car.

Vinay had come to pick Sonia and Trishna from Rekha's house as instructed by his mom.

But after witnessing the interaction between his wife and Arjun, his blood boiled.

He thought to clear the air with his wife once and for all about this Arjun case.
