The next day

Sonia and Vinay would leave for Goa in the evening, so she thought to visit her parents to tell them about her trip.

So, they both left for Sonia's house.

At Menon residence

"That's wonderful, Vinay!" Mr. Menon spoke to them sitting on the couch along with the other family members.

"Vinay, when will you be back?" Mrs. Menon asked them while serving them snacks.

"Um..." Vinay hesitated and looked at Sonia. She was about to clarify her doubts with some random excuse, when Appupa interrupted saying

"Meera! Let them enjoy their vacations. They should have a little alone time with each other. They are newly married, aren't they? So, they will come when they feel like, right, Vinay?"

Vinay just looked down at his words smiling. Sonia was confused at his strange behaviour and then she realised that maybe he just went with the flow to convince her family.

After some time, Vinay and Sonia left the Menon house. Vinay was about to drop her to the Nair residence, but she said that she wanted to shop some normal clothes, as she didn't want to wear the one that were still lying in her bag.

Vinay agreed to her request and dropped her to the shopping mall not before instructing Rocky to accompany her.

Vinay explained to her that Rocky was his bodyguard as he wanted her to be safe.

Sonia was puzzled at his request but nevertheless she agreed and went to shop for her clothes.

At Nair's office

"Vinay, we should appoint the best EMS team for this Maldives project, as I don't want to leave any space for mistakes. Hm...?" Mr. Nair told Vinay while signing some papers given by Mr. Patil.

"Yes, Dad. Don't worry I have interviewed some potential candidates for the same. I just need to short list them with Sameer. I have informed his secretary to set his meeting with us today to do the same." Vinay told him.

"And Vinay, I have also appointed a personal secretary for you. Since you would be the CEO of the firm. So, you would need him to take care of your schedules and such." Mr. Nair informed him. Vinay nodded at his father's concern.

Just then the intercom rang sending the arrival of Sameer.

Sameer entered the cabin and greeted Mr. Nair giving a subtle nod to Vinay.

Vinay just smiled and shaked his head at his attitude.

"So, Sameer, Vinay has already selected some potential candidates who can be included in our current EMS team. You can discuss with him and select the best, ok?" Mr. Nair informed him getting up to leave Vinay's cabin.

Sameer and Vinay discussed about the candidates for their EMS team.

After an hour or so, they selected the best candidates and decided to start the process of the resort asap.

Sameer was about to leave when

"Sam, please let's talk" Vinay called him.

Sameer looked at him with a glare and said, "Don't call me by that name, I am not your best friend anymore. Got it, Mr. Vinay?!"

Vinay huffed in disappointment and looked at him saying "Sam, I know I am a sinner. But give me a chance to explain everything?"

Sameer marched at him "Why should I? Did you give her a chance? She loved you, worshipped you. And what did you do, huh? Kill her!"

Vinay's eyes watered at the hatred spilled by his bestie towards him.

"Sam, you don't know I have been dying everyday thinking about that. I know I could have saved her. But I don't know... I just...I lost her already...I don't want to lose my best friend...please!" Vinay begged him.

"You lost both of us that day. None of us are coming back to you," Saying this Sameer marched out of Vinay's cabin slamming the door.

Vinay slumped on his chair regretting the dreaded day when he couldn't save her.

In the evening

At the Nair residence

Sonia and Vinay came to the living room, to bid their goodbyes to the family.

Even the Menon family along with Rekha were present to wish them happy journey.

Mrs. Nair approached Sonia and whispered "My child, please make my son happy. He deserves it. I promise you if you do, he will never leave your side. He will love you to the moon and back."

Sonia looked at her in guilt as she was aware of the meaning of her words.

Rekha looked at the mother and daughter duo and slowly approached them to not make her bestie more tensed.

Sonia and Vinay drove to the airport after bidding their byes to the family.

At the airport

Vinay had told Rocky to accompany them to their trip in case of emergencies. He didn't want to risk Sonia's wellbeing after the reveal of Mr. Mittal's intention of harming his family.

His enemies would surely target his new bride.

Sonia was puzzled as they were being dropped at the private jet area rather than the public boarding.

She looked at Vinay to which he stated "This way we will reach faster and more comfortably."

Sonia just nodded her head and boarded the private jet.

From the day they got married, Vinay wanted to spoil Sonia by showering her with all the happiness in the world.

This was just the beginning.

At Goa

After landing in Goa, they immediately went to their hotel to relax.

After filling the formalities in the reception, they were escorted to their hotel rooms.

The bellboy opened the largest suite in the hotel for them. Sonia was awestricken at the beauty of the room.

After the bellboy left, she looked at Vinay who approached her saying "We don't know how much long we will be staying here? So, I wanted to make it comfortable for you. Hm...Take rest. We will go in the early evening. Ok?"

Sonia was puzzled as Vinay was leaving the suite, she asked "Where are you going Mr. Vinay?"

Vinay stopped and told her "Um...to my room? Why? Do you need something?"

Sonia questioned as to why he had booked another room. When they could share the big suite which could easily abide to their comfort.

"As I said, Sonia. I don't want you to feel uncomfortable during this trip. So, I booked two rooms. This way you won't need to compromise on the sleeping arrangements, too. Ok?" Vinay smiled at her and went outside the suite.

Sonia was taken aback by his gesture. As she never thought that he would care so much for her comfort.

She then went to refresh herself and slept to relax for some time.

In Vinay's room

He was sitting on the edge of his bed thinking about the conversation that he had with Sameer.

He never knew that his best friend carried so much hatred for him.

He wanted to reconcile with him. He wanted to tell him the reason why he married Sonia. The reason behind his sudden decision. The fact about Sonia, her boyfriend and the background about Ronny.

He didn't want to carry this burden anymore.

He closed his eyes and thought that he needed to relax his mind, if he wanted to think of making both this brother and sister know the turmoil that he was going through.

Shrugging his shoulders, he went to refresh.

In the early evening

Vinay and Sonia had left for the XXX village, as his assistant had told him that they would get the information about Ronny from this place.

When they reached the place, they strode towards the place which was pinned by his assistant. It was like a colony with locals occupying the majority of the place. They found the house which was supposedly rented by Ronny when he stayed in Goa.

Vinay rang the bell of the house to find a middle-aged man at the doorstep.

"Yes, what do you want? The place is packed, we don't have any rooms for rent, now. You can ask the next adjacent house."

"No, Sir, we have come to inquire about someone." Vinay asked him.

After disclosing the appearance of Ronny in addition to showing his picture. The man said that he had rented the place to him 3½ years back for 6 months, but Ronny suddenly disappeared without a /trace.

"That rascal! he didn't even pay the 3-month rent! He just went away. I won't spare him!" the man said in anger.

The man continued "That bastard used to bring new girls every night! I warned him many a times to not repeat, but he always used to mock me. Wait till I catch him and make him pay for his sins!"

Sonia was devasted at his words and looked down sadden. Vinay saw her, but right now they needed to enquire more about Ronny. He would console her after reaching the hotel.

Vinay said to him that they were also searching for him. They wanted to know his whereabouts as he was missing for the past few weeks.

In between their conversation, the man told them about the club where Ronny used to work as a barista to pay off his rent and livelihood.

Vinay after getting the info about the club, he thanked the man and paid him the rent which was due by Ronny.

The man was thankful for his kind gesture. And also stated the places that was frequently visited by Ronny.

Vinay and Sonia decided to visit the club to know more about Ronny's background which would help them to find him.

At the Hotel

Sonia was deciding on what to wear at the club, as she had bought only kurtas and jeans to the trip. The club was celebrating its anniversary so there was a huge party organised in the celebration of the event.

She heard some knocks on the door. She opened in to find the hotel maid with a big gold box in her hand. Sonia asked her from whom the box was. To which the maid said Vinay's name. Sonia was surprised as he didn't tell anything about the particular box.

She requested the maid to keep the box on the bed.

After the maid went, Sonia carefully opened the box, revealing a dress carefully packed with a note on top.

A little gift from me. I know you would not have carried any party dresses. So here is something to blend in the crowd at the club.

She carefully pulled the dress and went to the mirror to check it out.

Sonia smiled at his small and sweet gesture remembering her plight of not bringing any party wear.

She went to refresh herself and get dressed for the club.

She came out of the washroom to brush her hair when her phone pinged with the video call from Rekha.

She picked the call and told her about their plan to search for Ronny at the club.

"That's good. At least it is a good start. By the way your dress is really cute. Did you purchase it from there?"

Sonia told her that Vinay had bought it for her as she was not having a proper party wear.

"That's really sweet of him. Ok then, go ahead and get on with your makeup. You don't want to be late." Rekha told her.

"What makeup? I am going to go just like that. I just want to find Ronny. I am not concerned about anything else, Reh!" Sonia sounded uninterested at her besties remark.

"So, you want to look like the walking dead, when you meet Ronny after a long time! Hm...?" Rekha asked her bestie getting a little annoyed.

Sonia was tight lipped at her response.

"Look, Nia. I am telling you this, coz you don't want him to be sadder. You are going there to convince him to come back to you. So, you need to look your best for that matter. Are you understanding me?" Rekha tried to convince Sonia.

Sonia gazed at nowhere thinking about the words said by the man about Ronny's playboy past. She thought that maybe he had changed after becoming responsible with a job and realised that what her bestie was telling was the truth. She didn't want Ronny to get upset at her look.

So, finally she agreed to put some makeup and look the best when she would meet Ronny.

Rekha smiled at her and wished her luck in finding her love.

Vinay was waiting for her at the reception talking to Rocky and instructing him to accompany them to the club.

He looked at his phone as it was almost 15 minutes and Sonia was still in her room.

He got worried and was about to go check on her, when

Sonia was wearing makeup for the first time. She had opted for glimmery eye shadow complimented with winged eyeliner. Her round cheek had a tint of pink blush. She used a nightshade red lipstick to complete her look. She tied her long hair in a ponytail making her swan like neck more alluring.

Her new look was doing wonders to Vinay's system. He tried to control his urge to kiss her blushing round cheeks!

Sonia approached them and said "Sorry if I am late! I just couldn't find the right shoes for this dress,"

Vinay smiled at her and said "You would look pretty in anything. A simple sneaker would also do the job."

Sonia looked down blushing at his remark.

Vinay then ordered Rocky to get the car to go to the club.
