It was the day of the inter-collegiate competition. Participants from different universities and colleges had gathered in the auditorium of the Grandprix studio to perform.

Hanisa was getting tensed by the minute standing in the backstage.

Just then Sameer came there with a small bouquet to cheer her up. She saw him and hugged him with a weak smile.

"Don't worry, Hanisa. You will excel it!" Sameer gave her an assuring smile to which she was feeling somewhat relaxed.

Vinay arrived there to wish his girlfriend best of luck. He approached them and hugged Hanisa who was slightly shivering in his grip because she was getting tensed.

Vinay looked at Sameer and told him to accompany the audience seat. He said that he would be in backstage to console Hanisa.

Sameer left them. Vinay backed from the hug and held Hanisa's round cheeks in his veiny hands and smiled.

"What happened, baby? Why are you so tensed? You know you practiced well. Then?"

"I don't know, V! I am just...*huff*" Hanisa said fiddling with her shirt top looking sideways.

Vinay saw her tensed state and thought there was only one way she could relax. He grabbed her wrist and took her to a seclude place behind the back stage.

He slowly pinned her to the wall and grabbed her chin with his index finger and thumb. She looked at him in confusion.

He slowly tilted his head and pecked her lips. She jolted at his action. He moved backed a little and looked at her smirkingly. He again locked his lips with her soft ones and kissed her more.

She closed her eyes slowly enjoying his measured torture of kissing and slightly moving back repeatedly in a rhythmic manner. Then he tried to enter his tongue in her mouth which was new to her. She opened her eyes in a jerk. Seeing that she was not giving him permission, he lightly pinched her waist to which she gasped. Taking this opportunity, he entered his tongue in her mouth exploring it. Then, he slowly brushed his tongue on her lower lip and continued devouring her again.

She began to relax in his torturing kiss, forgetting where she was!

After a good minute, he left her swollen lips and caressed her round cheeks. She opened her weak eyes and looked at him smiling.

He jerked his nose with her button ones and pecked it.

"Ok?" Vinay asked her. Hanisa nodded blushing.

They then returned to the backstage on time for her performance.

There was a round of applause at Hanisa's performance. She came to the backstage to be hugged tightly by Vinay. He picked her up lightly twirling her. She giggled at his actions and looked at him with adorations.

After the competition, the hall started emptying one by one.

Sameer dropped Vinay and Hanisa in their home by his car.

They were removing their footwear at the doorstep and entered the living room.

When Vinay spoke

"You know your debut performance was not that bad."

Hanisa looked back at him tying her long hair in a messy bun.

"Really?! But the judges were quite brutal, I was hoping that they would atleast be little lenient in the next round"

Vinay relaxed on the couch grabbing the remote and kept some random channel.

"Tsk, relax babe, if nobody, I liked your performance"

Hanisa looked at him from the kitchen grabbing an apple from the kitchen counter.

"Mhm, is that the only reason I am your girlfriend?"

Vinay put his right hand below his head and started switching channels, saying

"Mhm... that's the only reason"

Hanisa was taken aback by his bluntness. She gaped at him saying

"Huh! Mr. Vinay Nair, how dare you?!"

Vinay scowled at her response and looked back at her. He got up teasingly slowly approaching her.

"Oo... Calling out full names, are we now, hm? come here you little brat!"

He then jolted at her, trying to catch her.

"Aah...no stop it! Hehe he...V!"

They were chasing around the whole living room, throwing the pillows at each other.

Finally, Vinay grabbed her by the waist and slumped on the couch, huffing.

"I love you, V" Hanisa said caressing his jaw while sitting on his lap with her head relaxed on his chest.

"Hm..." Vinay hummed in response while cradling her.

Hanisa just smiled shaking her head as she was dying to hear him say those three words atleast once.

The next day

At the university

"V, hope we can pull this one off? We have practiced too long?" Sameer said concentrating on the beats of their dance routine.

"I think we should try it this way. Coz this one is more robust. The other one does not have an oomph to it. What do you think?" Vinay suggested.

"Hm...ok, then let's take it from the top, shall we?" Sameer got up and positioned himself to start with their dance routine.

"I think we can conclude with these steps. Now we just need to show it to Sir and wait for his remarks. Hm..." Sameer said huffing and drinking water in between.

Vinay nodded for the same and went to grab his backpack to move from the university.

"Hey, wait! I will come too. My car is for repairs. I need a lift." Saying so Sameer too grabbed his backpack and went along with his bestie.

At the university corridor, Hanisa caught up with them and joined them to leave for home as their classes had ended for the day.

When they neared the university gate, they were welcomed by a gang which did not belong to their university campus.

Vinay looked at them and his protective mode triggered. He grabbed Hanisa behind him, safekeeping her. She got puzzled at his behaviour and followed his gaze. Her eyes widened at the sight in front of her.

A mildly bandaged Sunny was standing with a group of men and a man was sitting royally on a jeep.

The man removed his sunglasses and his eyes glimmered at the sight of Hanisa who was hidden behind Vinay.

She looked at Sunny with frightened gaze and clutched Vinay shoulders tightly.

Vinay was looking at Sunny with "ready to kill" look, but was grabbed by Sameer in place to avoid the obvious.

"Hm... so this is the bird you spoke about, is it, little bro?" The man on the jeep asked Sunny while trying to check out Hanisa.

Sunny nodded his head and glared at Vinay, who smirked at him. Sanjay jumped from the jeep and approached them.

"Vinay, is it? Hello I am Sanjay, Sunny's elder brother. Nice to meet you and... you too, my dear lady!" Sanjay introduced himself to the trio. He tilted forward saying the last statement.

Vinay looked at him up and down and became protective of Hanisa at his last statement.

"Hm...first of all, I am sorry for my little brother's behaviour at the club. It was very childish of him to behave so rudely with you all, especially with such a delicate flower!" he again looked at Hanisa who moved her head from his fierce gaze.

Both Vinay and Sameer were listening to him patiently. Sanjay spoke again

"Anyway, I am here to invite you all to my birthday party this week. Do come and make the party more cheerful and...beautiful with your presence, hm...? As a sign of my heartiest apologies...please."

Sameer looked at Vinay who was not moving his angry gaze from the brothers. He noticed the sincerity in Sanjay's words and confirmed.

"Um...sorry Mr. Sanjay, we are quite busy. So, we won't be able to make it. Maybe next time."

Sanjay slightly pouted at his words, but he didn't give up.

"Now, you are making me feel bad. I came here to apologise for my brother's behaviour and now you are insulting me by not coming to the party. That's not very kind of you!"

Sameer didn't know how to escape from the situation, so he glanced at Vinay. He then spoke.

"It's not that, Mr. Sanjay. We have our finals coming up. So, we are quite busy with our schedules and such. So, I excused and not with the intention of insulting you. Please understand."

"One night, will not make any difference in your schedule. And moreover, I will make it a point to drop you to your homes. So don't worry, you all can reach way before your bedtime for a good night sleep. Hm...?" Sanjay said reassuring his sincerity. He spoke the last statement looking at Hanisa.

Sameer saw that there was no way of escaping him so he finally agreed to his proposal.

Being satisfied, Sanjay moved out of the university premises glancing at Hanisa now and then.

Vinay didn't move his gaze from Sanjay as he very well sensed his intentions.

Sameer approached him only to get an angry look from Vinay.

Vinay grabbed Hanisa's wrist and moved towards the student's parking area to take his bike out.

"Listen to me, V! there was no way I could have avoided him. You know he is the son of the local MLA. And moreover, he is also the part of a mafia clan. We can't fight these people!" he was trying to convince Vinay who just jerked his touch and pushed him saying

"So, you are saying that we just let them do what they want, huh?" Vinay barked at him.

"It's not that, V! we should deal with them smartly." Sameer tried to make him understand.

Vinay just clutched his bike angrily. Hanisa held his arms and he looked at her with concern.

"And they already know your weakness. So, we should be alert!" Sameer said to them.

Hanisa looked at Sameer and got scared at his words.

Vinay knew that what Sameer was saying was the truth. He felt the need to protect her more.

Vinay signaled Hanisa to sit on the bike and they left for their home.

At Vinay and Hanisa's house.

Vinay slammed his helmet with a bang on the floor after entering the house.

Hanisa got shocked at his behaviour. He brushed his hair in anger and looked at her.

He suddenly hugged her and spoke.

"You are mine! You understand that. No one will take you away from me! Ok?"

Hanisa knew his possessiveness, so she calmed him by hugging him more tightly.

She cupped his face and wiped his tears and asked him how she can help him.

"I need you." Vinay spoke looking into her eyes. She understood him. She smiled and then grabbed his wrist and walked to their bedroom.
