Ronny was able to return to his healthy self in few days, as Sonia was taking good care of him.

She used to leave early from her workplace and go to his apartment to take care of him. She used to make sure that he had his meals and medicines on time.

She didn't want him to suffer more because of her. The guilt was eating her from inside.

In the evening

"Hey, Nia. Where are you? I am back from my office trip. Let's meet up at our usual café in 10 minutes. Is it okay with you?" Rekha spoke from the other side of the phone.

Sonia hummed in agreement as she wanted to tell her bestie about the past days event. She also wanted her help in convincing her parents to agree on her marriage proposal with Ronny.

At the café

"Hey buddy, it is been so long since we talked with each other. I am sorry I had to leave so urgently. You know office work. I just couldn't avoid it." Rekha chimed in her usual jolly manner.

She looked at Sonia to find her gloomy and guessed that she was still shocked after the Kerala incident.

"Look, Sonia it was just an accident. Mr. Yashhu was not aware of your situation. Otherwise, he would have never left you like that. Trust me. It was my fault to leave you like that, even after knowing your situation. I am sorry, Nia."

Sonia shaked her head denying her statements saying, "It's not about that. I am thankful to both of you for helping me survive my trauma. It would have been worse, if you both would have not been there. So, thank you, Reh."

Rekha was happy that at least now her bestie was able to understand the real impression of Vinay. She wanted her badly to connect with him as Rekha thought that no one is as good match for her bestie than Vinay. Thinking of her besties possible union she was getting joyful from inside.

Sonia mustered her courage and spoke, "I am getting married..." Rekha's face beamed with happiness until...

".... with Ronny. I want your help to convince my family regarding this. Please help me, Reh."

Rekha's face dropped an octave listening to her bestie's blabber. She could hear only 'marriage.... Ronny...' She glared at her and went silent pursing her lips.

Sonia was confused at her bestie's silence. She waited for a few minutes to get her response, but Rekha just tilted her head sideways ignoring her.

"Reh, say something." Sonia called her.

Rekha bit her cheeks and took a deep breath finally speaking

"What do you want me to tell, hm...? That I am happy that my bestie, is finally marrying a complete crackhead, a self-centered mor*n, who doesn't care about anyone but himself, huh...! tell me, Ms. Sonia. What do you want me to tell, hm...?" she shot an angry glare at her.

Sonia looked down and tears started to pool down her eyes. Seeing that Rekha closed her eyes in regret of her words and spoke.

"Nia, what happened, huh...? Why the sudden hurry to marry him? Tell me."

Sonia gathered herself and said, "Ronny attempted suicide. He was in the hospital for three days."

Rekha was completely shocked at her words. As she never thought him to take such a cunning step to trap her bestie.

She huffed and sat back in her seat, looking at her bestie with concern. She knew that Ronny was successful in trapping her fully. She was also convinced that the marriage proposal would have been put forward by Sonia only, being tricked by Ronny.

She bit her lower lip and thought of a way to save her bestie with a last attempt.

She was thinking deeply when...

"Sonia, Rekha, it seems this is your favourite place, huh?"

Both of them looked at the owner of the voice. They got up from their seat to greet him properly.

Vinay was smiling at them. He was sad to see Sonia still gloomy.

Rekha looked at him in admiration and smiled at him, to which he patted her arms in a friendly manner.

Sonia was wide eyed at their interaction. As she never saw Vinay to interact in a friendly manner to anyone.

Rekha looked at her and raised her eyebrow in victory, earning a smile from her.

"So, how are you guys?" Vinay asked them.

"We are good Mr. Yashuu. Just catching up. I was not here for the past 3 days. I had to go for the Delhi conference from office. Just landed in the afternoon. Thought I could meet my bestie and catch up." Rekha answered.

Vinay nodded and spoke

"The Delhi conference? You mean the one in Grand Hyatt, was it? The one promoting startups and new product launch ideas...?"

Rekha nodded her head in agreement.

Vinay smiled and said, "My friend was the head of the conference team who lead it. He was telling me that it was quite successful. Many companies' ideas were promoted and some even got potential sponsors for their ideas."

Like that both of them started conversing forgetting the third person listening to their talks with glisten in her eyes. Sonia was suddenly imagining how her bestie was the perfect match for Vinay.

They had the same aura, the same level of confidence, the same level of protectiveness. They had even the perfect height fraction. She was now convinced that her bestie would have found her match.

She was so engrossed in her thoughts that she ignored the calls that she was getting from her bestie.

Rekha finally jerked her shoulders and broke down her trance.

"Nia, Mr. Yashuu, was saying his goodbyes. Where are you?" Rekha looked at her puzzled.

"Huh, um... nothing I was just thinking something." Sonia bluntly told her.

"Ok." Rekha eyed her suspiciously.

Vinay finally bids them byes and went outside the café.

Rekha sat back on her seat and looked at Sonia who was smiling at her in a weird manner.

Rekha looked at her in suspicion and asked her.

"What?!"

"Nothing, I am just thinking, you were not able to even look at him without blushing red, and now actually conversing with him like a long-lost friend. Hm...? What's going on, missy?" Sonia asked her grinning widely.

"It's nothing. It's that he is a nice person. You only need to know him before judging him. He is a good human being and a good friend." Rekha spoke and continued to drink her coffee.

"Hm... true...a good friend, a good human being...perhaps a good husband...maybe...I don't know...you both match perfectly with each other." Sonia blurted out making Rekha almost choked on her coffee in shock. She started coughing badly.

Sonia got scared and immediately went to pat her back to relax her.

After some time, Rekha calmed herself and managed to speak.

"Don't get your head filled with unwanted things! As I said he is a good friend, nothing much. Ok. We are just friends nothing much. He doesn't feel like that towards me. He likes someone else. So there, he only thinks of me as a good friend." Rekha confirmed.

Sonia looked at her face to find any suspicion but she found that Rekha was actually telling the truth.

As she would usually look down if she is lying, avoiding eye contact. Which she was clearly not doing as of now. She was disappointed but thought that maybe everything happens for something good.

Sonia came back to her state where she was expecting her friend to help her.

Rekha looked at her and told her that she would help her to deal with the situation.

Hugging each other they left for their homes.

At the Menon's house

In the dining room

All of the family members were chatting and discussing their daily routine to each other.

Sonia was getting restless and thinking on how to put forward her idea of marrying Ronny in front of her family.

Mr. Menon's phone ranged. He picked it up and put it on speaker.

"Hello everyone, I hope all of you are doing good, hm...?" Appupa spoke from the other side of the call.

Everyone was overjoyed hearing his voice. The happiest was Sonia as she remembered how her Appupa saved her the other day.

"Yes, appa, everyone is fine. Tell us about yourself. How are you? How is your health? When are you coming to visit us?" Mr. Menon asked

"I am good. Health wise and wealth wise, as I have my treasures in the form of my grandchildren!" Appupa spoke lovingly gaining a laughter from everyone.

"And about when I am coming over there. I was thinking about next week, as I had some important meeting to attend for our factory dealings with clients from Mumbai. I may land around next Monday. Hoping to see every one of you, especially my new granddaughter-in-law!" Appupa further spoke.

"Yes, Appupa, we are back from our holidays. We will all meet you." Sameer conveyed his wish smiling at Latha who shied away.

"Ok, then. See you all next week. Take care all of you." Saying so Appupa ended the call.

Everyone was happy as their beloved person would join them in two days. Sonia was overjoyed as she knew that even if nobody would support her, her Appupa would always care for her happiness.

Rest assured she was happy at her thoughts and waited for her peace.
