Chapter Four: Ms. Snarky

I quietly walked to the principal's office with my head hung down, hand clutching my game to which I had replaced the cartridge. By now the bell had all ready rung, signaling that class had begun. I continued my walk to the principal's office until I was right outside the door.

I slowly lifted my hand up to the door and gave it three sturdy knocks. I waited for a few moments before I heard a person inside say come in. I twisted the doorknob and opened the door. I stepped into the room while shutting the door behind me.

"Have a seat Ms. (L/N)," the principal, Mr. Matsuoka, offered. Actually our principal traveled over to (country) from Iwatobi, Japan. He is also quite young for a principal it seems to me from what I've heard they're usually old men or women. I took a seat in one of the two chairs in front of his desk.

"So what did you come talk to me about today?" Mr. Matsuoka asked kindly.

"Well, I came to tell you that I'm being bullied even though we've been in school for like two days and that last night my mother was murdered," I stated sadly. I was looking at my hands in my lap, moving my thumbs back and forth slightly.

"Why didn't you report it to the police?" Mr. Matsuoka questioned.

"They wouldn't believe what I would say. I saw who murdered her," I replied.

"Who murdered her?" Mr. Matsuoka pressured.

"Well it was more like a what then a who, but I saw a dog that was in the room my mom was murdered in and it had blood on it. Also before that happened I was on Cleverbot presumedly Ben Drowned, but that turned out to be real because there would be a hand come out of my screen and when I tried to back away from the dog I backed into him," I explained.

"Now Ms. (L/N), the creepypasta don't exist. They're just made up stories. You probably were hallucinating or having a bad dream," Mr. Matsuoka suggested.

"I wasn't hallucinating! I saw what I saw! I knew if I told anyone they wouldn't believe me! Maybe I should have went and done what Ben wanted!" I shouted at the principal.

"Well Ms. Snarky, I think you need to see a psychiatrist, but that will be up to your foster parents because you are going up to the orphanage this instant!" Mr. Matsuoka declared. He stood up and roughly grabbed my arm, forcing me to stand up with him. He dragged me out of the office and out to the parking lot. Luckily everyone was still in class. We got out to the parking lot and he lead me to his car. He finally let me go when I was by the passenger seat. Mr. Matsuoka walked around the car and got into it, starting the engine. I hesitantly opened the passenger door and got in. I fastened my seatbelt when I was in.

I was glad I had it on. Mr. Matsuoka seemed to drive like a mad man. He drove really fast and passed cars where they shouldn't be passed. We reached the orphanage in no time at all. Mr. Matsuoka pulled up in front of it and turned off the engine. He then proceeded to get out of his car. I myself was slightly frozen, moving very slowly and carefully. Once I got out, I found myself with Mr. Matsuoka's hand on the back of my neck steering me inside. We walked up to the desk where this young lady was.

"Hello sir. How may I help you today? Would you like to make an adoption or are you here to leave a child?" the lady asked.

"I'm Rin Matsuoka, principal of the local school here. This student came to me and told me her mother was dead and we have no files of her having a father. Her name's (F/N) (L/N)," Mr. Matsuoka stated, moving some of his red hair out of his face with the hand that wasn't holding my neck.

"I see sir and how long has her mother been dead?" the lady asked. Mr. Matsuoka looked at me for the answer.

"About ten hours," I answered quietly after doing the math.

"I see. So you haven't had a funeral," the lady noted. "We'll schedule and help you pay for the funeral."

"I wouldn't want that. I just want her cremated," I mumbled.

"Hm. Why?" the lady asked me. She was starting to get on my nerves. Her tone was like she didn't care or haven't any sympathy.

"Because she was murdered," I answered a bit aggressively.

"Well, do you know who murdered her?" the lady inquired. "We might be able to report them to the police and they can catch them."

"That's the thing," Mr. Matsuoka started, "She says it was a dog and Ben Drowned. I think it would be best if she saw a psychiatrist."

"We'll make sure to tell the people who adopt her and get her one right away, Mr. Matsuoka," the lady assured.

"Please call me Rin," Mr. Matsuoka offered.

"All right, Rin. I'm Yuki Cross, but call me Yuki," Yuki replied. "Well we'll take her off your hands and send someone to look for a psychiatrist."

"Thank you," Mr. Matsuoka stated. "Would you like to go to dinner sometime?"

"I'm sorry, but I'm married," Yuki apologized. I smirked to myself. They couldn't see it since I was looking down. He must like Mrs. Cross.

"Really, but you're so young," Mr. Matsuoka observed.

"I know," Yuki bluntly said. "Well, if that is all I'll take Ms. (L/N) back and get her settled." Mr. Matsuoka nodded his head in reply and left. Mrs. Cross took me by the arm gently and led me towards the back.

"Do you believe in vampires?" Mrs. Cross asked.

"I'm not sure what to believe in, Mrs. Cross," I answered.

"I see and please call me Yuki," Yuki replied.

"Okay then," I agreed. When we reached the back room my eyes widened in surprise.

Dear Reader,

Sorry that the updates have slowed. My only excuse is pure laziness. So I might slip in some anime and book references. To let you know I don't own them so yeah. And a cliff hanger, honhonhon. Next time, will you find out what is in the back? Will you be adopted by good guardians? Will you bend to Ben's ways? Will you ever find out why I'm asking so many questions? Probably not on the last one. *smirk* You will though on the other three. Au revoir.

From,
