I wake up from the morning light seeping through the curtains of the window

I walk into the school through the back entrance wanting to avoid the flock of new reporters 'this is going to be boring'

Walking into the school I see so many stalls of food 'ok, I take it back, this is going to be a fun day of me 'testing' out some food'

Walking up to a stall that sold some fresh takoyaki. I stare at the man running the stall. "how much?" I ask pointing to the food he was cooking

"500 yen for 1 box!" The man behind the stall yells while frying the batter

"I'll take a 2 boxes!!" I start drooling thinking about the taste, a sparkle can be seen in my eyes

I slam the yes button and the 1000 yen pop up onto the counter

The man wasn't shocked thinking it might be my quirk and takes the money and counts it "it's good doing business with you" he grins as he places the 2 boxes in a plastic bag on to the counter

I take it and walk away looking at all the other stalls

"I DEMAND A REMATCH" I point at a 9 year old kid as he beats me again in one of the stall games

"Your on!" He lets out a huge smile as his mother is watching him with a chuckle "but your paying for it!"

"Deal." I pay up 600 yen for 6 fake bullets.

The aim (pun intended) of the game is to shoot the cardboard squares that have numbers on them. You buy any amount of bullets and you must get 500 points with all the bullets you have bought. Each square can either have 10pt 20pt 30pt and so on until 400pt.

The squares will be moving constantly so it's hard to shoot them

And every time I fight this kid he always beats me by at least 10 or more points

Aiming the fake gun I prepared to fire "ready.... aim.... fire" i shot a 300 pointer. 'So far go good' I look over at the kid and he's already used up his bullets and got a score of 620 points

He looks at me and sticks his tongue out trying to mock me

'Hacks, I call hacks'

"Kufufu, you can't beat me" the kid jeers

I shot another bullet only for it to bounce off the wall behind the cardboard squares 'wtf is this?!'

With one bullet left I start calming down and slowing my breath down due to [Gamers mind]

As I shoot the bullet it pierces the air and whizzes past the stall owner. It was about to hit the 230pt but missed hitting the wall again 'shit'

"Yay, I won again~" the kid jumps in excitement

"ANOTHER RE- *ring ring*" I stop yelling and look at the phone to see the name of •That guy•  (a nickname)

Picking up the phone I was the first one to talk "sup (b/n)"

"I'm watching the sports festival on the Tv and I can't find you anywhere~" (b/n) says, he sounded pretty sleepy

"I'm at one of the many stalls at the front of the arena" I answered as I wave goodbye to the kid

"Really now? Oh I forgot to tell you! A certain devil is going to watch your performance at the festival! Sucks to be you~" and with that he ends the call

'Mum's going to watch me... this means one thing.... if i do shit = death' I throw away the empty boxes of food and start rushing to the change rooms 'THIS ISNT TIME TO BE HAVING FUN AND EATING FOOD!!'

"IM HERE!!" I yell out of breath as I slam through the door of the prep-room already change

"Great timing they're about to send us out" watermelon says

A random person (I'm guessing is an adviser) holding a clip board is listening into her headset "ok, Class 1A please proceed to walk to the entrance" she says in a calm tone as she motions the way to the exit

"THE FIRST YEARS OF THE HERO COURSE!!" Obnoxious parrot yells

I hear the crowd cheering as I start getting nervous

"ITS CLASS A!!"

As I walk out I was overwhelmed by the amount to people. 'With so many people I won't be able to find mum'

I was so nervous with the huge amount of people I thought i was going to break down and like 'I barely see so many people in a year! I'm just stuck at home enjoying my life and this happens'

Following the crowd of students I couldn't hear anything due to the loud ass spectators

"Now for the athletes oath!" Kinky yells as she whips the air

"Oooooh the first years rep this time is the R rated hero midnight!" A random student explains

"What about the principal?" Another student ask

"He's always assigned to the third year stage" the guy next to him answers

"R rated? Should she be in a high school?" Emo bird ask

"Shut it!" Kinky tells him off as she whips the whip onto the ground "Pipe down! Your student representative is... from class 1A katsuki bakugo!!"

Every student starts to gossip with each other "wait. DID SHE SAY THE PORCUPINE?!" I yell out in shock

As porcupine starts walking up the stage with Kinky, everyone starts to quiet down, showing respect for porcupine to talk

"The athletic oath..." porcupine starts "MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT! IM GOING TO TAKE FIRST PLACE!!"

His short speech created an uproar with all the other classes, while on the other hand our class is face palming

'Why has god abandoned us?' I question myself being one of the people that face palmed themselves for porcupines stupidity

A loud yell silenced all of us because we all wanted to listen to the important information "Now without any delay. Let's get the first event started!! These are the qualifiers! It's in this stage that so many are sent home crying every year!"

Kinky turns around showing a huge screen "and the fateful first event of this year is..." she points at the screen "this!"

"An obstacle course race. What I've been training for.." I mumble as I smirk in amusement

"It's a race between every member of all 11 classes" Kinky starts explaining "the course is a 4km lap around the stadium itself!! Our school preaches freedom in all things, so as long you don't go off the course everything is fair game"

'Fair game?! This is going to be a piece of cake!' I look around and start getting to the starting position

"Racers to your positions!" Kinky yells

'If I lose then mum's going to have my head' it was the only thought that got me determined to win

In the crowd I spot her, she was on the roof of the stadium watching me closely with her sniper scope

'I'm so fucked.'

"START!!"
