Story of life begins.....
A fine lady with her hair braided back sat infront of her reading table with a pen in her left hand. She had been dreaming of writing a story since her childhood and now, she was ready with a beautiful story. She had made a promise to herself that she would complete the story by the time her daughter comes back from Mumbai. She drank some water and started writing.......

ABHI
Pragya was struggling to breath since five minutes but I couldn't do anything. Her knees were shivering and her eyeballs rolled back into her skull. When I tried to lift her body from the ground, her whole body convulsed vigorously in my hands. A fearful pain filled my chest making it burn in agony. She said to me before that I shouldn't take her to hospital no matter what happens to her this night, but I couldn't see her struggle like this anymore. I decided to take her to the hospital. I lifted her again and she convulsed much more this time falling to the ground from my hands. Tears started to fill my eyes making everything around me a blur.
My eyes widened in shock when her long brunette colored hair started to shrink into short strands.
Oh my god.
I stared at her not knowing what to do. Another five minutes passed and she slowly started to breath normally. Her movements stopped and her eyeballs came back to position which were now looking towards me....
Her hair became entirely short.....like of a boy.
"Abhi..." She said breathing slowly.
"Prag....pragya, are you fine?" I asked lifting her head slowly and placing it on my lap.
"Yeah. I guess I'm fine now." She smiled weakly, "What happened to me?"
"Your...your hair..." I trailed off leaving her to find out on herself.
"What happened to my hair?" She got up from my lap as I held her hand to give support. She touched her hair with her both palms. Her eyes glittered with happiness when she saw herself infront of the mirror.
"Abhi....." She screamed in delight, "the medicine is working."
I smiled at her blinking back my tears. "Yeah. Your gender is going to change soon, Pragya."

"Happy birthday Abhi!"
My ears rang violently with the wishes of my stupid friends. The party was set up as usual in my guest house and presently there were many other people in my room, whose names I guess I didn't even know. Well, I was not that good in maintaining security around me despite of my fame and stardom in the country. I took the knife which was placed neatly beside the huge three tier cake before cutting it and shoved a piece into my mouth when all were expecting me to put first piece of cake into Purab's mouth.
"Cheater" Purab muttered and I rolled my eyes.
"I'm going now." I said to him pushing all the bodies who were jumping in excitement in the room. I came out of the crowded room successfully without being pulled back by some fully drunk party freak. Purab would have came along with me if not for the people who came to the party. Not that he likes them all but he need to see no one spoiled anything and stole any valuable thing in my guest house.
I was a rock star.
I rarely get privacy time and this was that rare time. My parents would be thinking that I was with my friends by now. That was fine. No one were there to disturb me.
I was passing by a bus stop in my audi when I saw a girl crying sitting on a bench. I didn't know why I felt like I could solve her problem because the next minute I was doing was getting out of my car and heading towards her. She stopped crying when I was few inches away from her. She hadn't looked up at my face completely but she immediately stood to walk away from the place when I opened my mouth to talk.
"Hey, wait." I called. She hadn't turned to reply but stopped after two strides as if she heard me so many seconds after I called her. Oh! Wait. She left her cover on the seat and I didn't know what that cover had. She hurriedly came back and took the cover from the bench and turned again to leave before watching my face. That was when she froze.
"You....You're...."
"Yeah. I'm abh........"
She never allowed me to complete my name before clapping in excitement, "You look exactly like that tall, handsome rock star who rocked the stage on that concert held in sujana mall."
What? I exactly look like me? Yeah, ofcourse!
A smile crept over my lips as she examined me with wide chocolate eyes.
"Now don't think I'm staring at you. I just complimented you. That's it." She snapped at me suddenly watching my smile and walked away from me holding the cover in her hand tightly.
"Hey." What's her name? "Hey spectacles, wait!" I jogged behind her to reach her pace. She looked so cute in her pink t-shirt and ash colour night pants with her big black glasses.
"My spectacles are not going to respond." She said walking with large strides.
"You're funny" I remarked, "by the way, why were you crying?"
"You need not have to know."
"Girl, come on. I'm a big rock star and asking you about your problems but you're not responding."
"Just beacuse I said that you look like that rock star, doesn't mean you're him."
"Okay, I'm not him. Atleast say what's your problem. And what are you doing in the road in dark."
She stopped walking suddenly and grimaced. I stood beside her expecting her to talk.
She turned towards me, "I lost my way. Can you help me find my address?"
"Sure. Address please?" I smiled a sweet smile.
She said her address, it was easy to find. How did she lost the way to her own house?
"We are new to this place." She said as if she heard my mind, while walking in the footpath on the way to her house.
"Ohh." I nodded.
"Yeah."
"But why are you out of your house this late in night?" I asked.
She didn't answer and raised an eyebrow at me as if I asked her property. After walking for some more distance she finally spoke, "to buy some stuff."
"Talking to me? Or with some imaginary ghost?"
She rolled her eyes, "I know that shop near to our new house. So I came casually not expecting that few stupid drunken morons would follow me."
"What happened then? Did they hurt you?"
She sighed dramatically, "No. I ran. I ran until they were no more following me and ended up at that bus stop where you found me," she smiled, "like a God."
"Awww. Don't make me a God now." I giggled.
She let out a chuckle, "So who are you?"
"The guy who looks like the rock star who rocked the stage on that concert held in sujana mall" I said mimicking her.
"Okay." She said sarcastically.
Another few minutes passed and Google maps showed another eight turns to the final destiny. She ran too far! She started talking suddenly and I again wondered if she was talking with me or to the imaginary ghost, "In my childhood days, I thought that I didn't like my family. But the thing is, my family is the one who doesn't like me."
She turned to me and I blinked at her, she continued. "You know, they feel that I'm a burden to them. According to them I'm useless and they believe that my only job in this world is to give birth to babies to my husband."
"You are married!?" I almost shouted in surprise. I didn't knew why but the thought that this girl was married was making me bother so much.
She sighed. "Not yet." A wave of relaxation passed through me and I nodded to her encouraging her to go on with whatever she was saying, "They provided my younger brother with almost everything. Good toys, rich school and college education, car, girlfriend, iPhone, dresses, tours bla bla but when it comes to me na, no toys, small school, small college, that too just upto degree, no movies, only serials at home, no outing with friends.....Actually, no friends at all, no arts and only work of home."
"Seriously, why so discrimination in your house?" I asked her unbelievably. "Even I have a sister in my home who was raised nothing less than a boy. She is now doing fashion designing and earns equal to my father. Girls are not just for giving births you know. They are mothers of this entire human creation."
"Wow." She clapped, "try saying this to my parents."
"Sure. I will." I said confidently.
"I was kidding Bro. Leave it" She said.
"Bro? What the f*** did you say just now?" I snapped at her as I couldn't control my rage. I didn't knew why.
"Ugh! Excuse me?" She frowned watching me.
"Don't call me that." I said trying to sound casual.
"O.K.A.Y." She said knitting her eyebrows together.
'Take the next right turn and continue for 600 metres to reach your destination.' The Google map spoke showing its navigation arrow.
"Shit. Boy, stay here only. They will kill me if they see me with you. By the way, thank you so much for the help." She said, "Abhishek Mehra!"
A wide smile formed in my lips, "You know who I'm all these time. Don't you?"
"I know. But I couldn't have talked with you at all if I see you as a celebrity. So I just pretended like I didn't knew you. And when you asked what I was doing out late at night, I knew I was safe around you." She smiled, "How pathetic. I can't even get an autograph from you despite of being with you so close since half n hour."
I took out my personal visiting card and gave it to her. She smiled and waved a bye.
"What's your name?" I yelled as she was about to turn.
"Pragya." She yelled back slowly before turning to right. I watched her until she walked for few minutes before opening the gate of a house entering into it.
I saved the location before heading to my car.
