Chapter 13. Patched
"Crepitate, you should tell us what you really are."
I suggested quietly trying to not wake up Chivel.
"I'll tell you, I'm not sure if Chivel's ready though."
Crepitate looked at Chivel resting on me.
"They'll understand eventually."
I smiled curling Chivel's dusty soft hair a bit.
"You seem really fond of Chivel."
Crepitate giggled smugly.
"Chivel's my friend, this is what friends do."
I simply answered with a grin.
"Yeaaaahhhh sure."
Crepitate giggled.
"Hey, not so loud!"
I punched Crepitate gently.
"It's not like I have a thing for Chivel if that's what you're thinking, here just touch their dusty soft hair!"
I grabbed Crepitate's claw and rested it on Chivel's head gently.
Crepitate's eyes lit up.
"It's. So. Softtttt!"
Crepitate rubbed Chivel's hair a little letting the dust fly everywhere in the air.
"What the heck stop it!"
I smacked Crepitate's claw away.
"Hrgggmm.."
Chivel mumbled.
Me and Crepitate paused.
"ShShhshhsSssSssSHhhHhH!"
Me and Crepitate said to each other.
"Anyways I'll tell you what I am."
Crepitate crossed his arms as his tail swayed slowly.
"Okay, go on. I'm listening."
I swatted the dust away from me and Chivel.
"I'm...I'm a fallen angel."
Chivel sighed.
"Aren't you still an angel then?"
I tilted my head a bit.
"No, not how it really works in the gReAt HeAvEnLy gate."
Crepitate sniffed.
"Oh I see, what about working for the angels?"
I asked.
"That's a little personal. But I can tell you about angel forged weapons."
Crepitate rubbed his head.
"Sure."
Crepitate's thin tail swayed before two rings appeared around his tail.
Crepitate took the rings and showed it to me as it glowed faintly.
"Welp you're pretty pure."
Crepitate grinned.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
I giggled.
"Oh it's nothing, but these rings are actually angel halos."
Crepitate's rings then glowed brightly.
"Halos?"
My eyes widened.
"Yeah, halos are actually forged in the heavens to use as weapons in case some people try to attack their way into heaven."
Crepitate explained.
"That's so cool!"
I exclaimed accidentally.
"ShsshshHsh!"
Crepitate shushed me.
Chivel shifted positions, Chivel nuzzled me near my lap in their sleep.
I narrowed my eyes at Crepitate.
"If you really are an angel-"
"Fallen angel."
Crepitate intruppted and corrected me.
"Yeah yeah whatever. Be quietttt!"
I grumbled.
"Fine fineeee!"
Crepitate sighed, putting the rings around his tail again as they floated a bit then disappeared.
"But why didn't you tell us?"
I asked.
"Well...wait, you should know."
Crepitate looked at me.
"I don't, wanna hear my secret?"
I said hesitantly.
Crepitate shrugged.
"I'm not a full demon. I actually don't know who I am. I'm not full human either. But I've always dreamed of making games! Rewind promised to help me once I'm older."
I sighed.
"Oh, well allow me to explain then. There's been a war where demons and angels nearly wiped each other out. And they still try to today. That's why they hate eachother so much but I'm in between, so I'm pretty neutral but due to my angel half demons tend to hate me no matter what."
Crepitate kindly explained.
"So you're basically the balance."
I cocked my head glancing at
"Yeah, my job is basically, balance. I'm supposed to show everyone that I'm a resemblance of peace, they turn one angel or demon into a fallen angel or a rising demon to represent this."
Crepitate shrugged.
"Alright then."
I nodded. Chivel grumbled a bit as they started to wake up.
"Awake sleepy head?"
I smiled.
"Yeah, lemme sleep more..."
Chivel mumbled as they nuzzled their cheeks on my lap.
"Chivel's like a cat."
I chuckled.
"Or a dog."
Crepitate pointed at Chivel's tail swishing happily.
I laughed.
"Stop making fun of me.."
Chivel grumbled tiredly.
I rolled my eyes.
"Why is your hair so soft and dusty?"
I nuzzled Chivel's hair again.
"Hey, quit messing with my hair..!"
Chivel tried swatting my face away tiredly.
"No~!"
I sang as more dust picked up in the air.
"You'll suffocate us all!"
Chivel pushed my face away.
"No w-waAAaaAAaaaaACHOO!!"
I sneezed as I inhaled dust.
Chivel stared at me as I rubbed my nose.
"W-what?"
I asked.
"You're- never mind!"
Chivel stormed away quickly.
"Chivel- ugh well At least you're here Cre-and you're gone too."
I sighed as Crepitate was nowhere to be seen.
I looked for Chivel first, I peeked open my bedroom door seeing Chivel pacing around the room. They looked angry but they muttered some stuff about me it was hard to tell but it went something like.
"Why am I feeling this way!? GM is your friend, snap out of it! Stupid stupid stupid! You almost spilled too much Chivel!"
I'm honestly not sure what Chivel was trying to say but I left to find Crepitate.
I opened the garage door since that's where I think Crepitate would be, Crepitate was working on a project.
"Hey Crepitate whatcha up-"
I stared at Crepitate with horror.
"To..."
I trailed off due to shock.
