small backstory. mia's parents both work at preternatural and supernatural control also know as psc, psc is a department of the fbi that is used primarily for keeping supernatural sightings under control, such as ufos, werewolves, vampires and more. mia's parents had been trying to have a child for years and then mia was born, they said she was a miracle and hid her from their department. her parents taught her everything they knew she would need if she ever went face to face with psc and taught her everything they knew. a year ago they created a test that made it easier to identify the children, mia was forced to take the test and when she came back positive psc agents came to take her away. her parents tried hiding her but when the agents came they shot her mother and took her father. in mia's first two months in jail she had no idea what happened to her father but then one of the guards told her. they made a statement out of him, giving him the death penalty of the worst kind, mia's parents were buried in a unmarked grave.

small backstory. ben never knew his father neither did he know his mother, ben was raised by his maternal aunt. his aunt had taught him to never tell anyone the day that he was born, to always say that he was born on the twelfth or the fourteenth, ben isn't special and that's a good thing. being dyslexic ben always struggled with school which his aunt hated, she always made it perfectly clear to him that if he stands out in any way, whether it be through failure or excelling, he is putting himself in danger. because of this ben always tried to make himself as bland as possible, to give himself no defining personality traits. he agreed to people's comments, laughed at people's jokes, never said no but wouldn't go out of his way to be helpful, in class he always sat in the middle row so that way he wasn't the kid in the front or the kid in the back. but whatever he did it was never enough, ben felt like his fear of being caught was just a manipulation device for his aunt to use when used. so when ben turned sixteen he had enough, he moved to the united states of america, he got a job and started to excel like he was always taught not to do. two weeks ago ben helped someone with abilities (OPEN OC) letting them crash at his place, turns out psc agents were hoping for that and caught them both. his aunt's name is arash.
