ever since wei wuxian became a sect leader , the cultivation world got the first demonic cultivator as both sect leader and was taken as chief cultivator due to nie huaisang's sudden announcement of rest due to illness over his old age . well none complained , frankly no one had any problem with wei wuxian leading this entire cultivational realm . the lan clan surprisingly had became the richest and the most powerful than the wen clan at its prime in just 2 year span under the demonic cultivator's rule . 

many students from different areas , sects , non sects started coming to lan clan for learning basic knowledges for life . all the orphans , poor people , beggars , whenever gets caught by any lan disciples were taken to the back hill of the lan mountains and were given home and supplies and were treated as a big family . wei wuxian was the most loved by all the kids and xiuying was the most favored by all the females who took care of the children . whenever lan disciples felt bored , were always welcomed to the back hills to play with the orphans . 

the rules were reduced to almost nothing but a simple 10 rules

- full manners in places other than family 

- do not invade someone's privacy 

- cursing is okay at right times 

- be good to others even if you hate them , protect innocents 

- back talk is okay if you are using to defend your comrades

- playing is good but no hurting and bullying

- love yourself 

it was something which li xing never expected to happen in lan clan of all . for once she really wished she could see lan qiren's face if he saw the rules newly inscribed on the wall . well , she was happy to see kids wearing white running and playing around like kids instead of those times where even kids walked like they were mourning for no reason . 

it was a pin drop silence , wei wuxian [gusu] was baffled of his own ability , was he even able to do this much? wont madam yu shout at him if he leads a sect much less as a demonic cultivator?

yiling laozu looked at the future lan clan dreamily , it was something he would wish as a change in lan clan to be frank . being an orphan and brought up in an abusive household , this was something he wished to see . he smiled at the sight of all the lan clan's punishment paddles were locked up in a store room . he loved freedom . 

both lan wangji looked at the scene and smiled faintly , looking at kids laughing and running around despite being tired , it really warmed his heart . their wei ying loved freedom and he gave it to the kids in the future . for once lan clan really looked gorgeous .

zewu zun was speechless , he did not know what to say looking at the lan clan which is opposite to the current lan clan . he looked at wangji from gusu timeline , if he was brought up in that timeline maybe his brother might have talked like that of the future lan zhan does , he thought 

jiang cheng [gusu] and jiang yanli [gusu] looked at wei wuxian [gusu] before falling into their own thoughts . if jiang cheng becomes the sect leader then if wei wuxian supports him as his right hand man , surely the yunmeng jiang sect would become more stronger right? 

many had their own thoughts . 

"let me answer to that sister's question , i am pretty sure old man lan will spit blood and will die in seconds if he hears wei- xiong being a sect leader" future sect leader nie huaisang said making zewu zun look at him 

when li xing's eyes feel on the last line , she could not help but say "love yourself huh? sect leader himself does not follow that - " she sighed before turning her heels and walked towards jingshi which was made available for only her as an outsider to enter other than lan wangji's family . 

both wei wuxians flinched at the obvious answer from li xing . it was a noticeable flinch . both lan wangji looked at them worriedly 

both jiang yanlis could not help the word which came out from their mouths "a-xian what do you mean by that?"

both wei wuxian really flinched badly before facing their shijies with his wide smile which was conformed now as a totally fake smile and simply told "nothing shijie" and turned away grabbing their lan zhan's sleeves tightly . it only brought worries to both lan wangji

'right , madam yu never let me do anything , i was only their meat shield whenever they are in danger' wei wuxian [gusu] thought before glancing at his future self 'surely something traumatizing must have happened to me to turn all quiet and silent . just what was it?'

she opened the door of jingshi and entered it silently and looked at wei ying who was petting a white rabbits in jingshi . but in her eyes she felt that the rabbit itself was worried for its owner . wei ying turned around after rubbing his face in his white sleeves , a bright smile on his face

wei wuxian wore hanguang jun's dress even if it was a bigger than his size , he did not seem to mind to stitch the long dress to his size , hanguang jun's forehead ribbon of his head , tied as a pony tail over his hair . but looking at his slightly puffy eyes li xing at the very second knew it , wei wuxian was crying a while ago . she really wished she could help her friend , but she knew her limits , she was not like wen qing or lan wangji who can unravel him in moments . 

"li xing , welcome , mind for a tea together?" wei wuxian sounded too normal, nearly flawless if there was no minute crack over his voice in the end . li xing nodded and knelt down on the table. wei wuxian served the tea and both sipped on it silently watching the small new born baby bunnies hoping and making small noises cuddling their parents . wei wuxian takes pregnant bunnies to jingshi and gives its full nourishments until the baby is born and is well developed to meet the other bunnies outside . it is always carrots on jingshi . li xing smiled when a black bunny yawned and fell down on its mother's fur fast asleep . 

both lan wangjis never looked at jingshi being too lively . their wei ying sure makes everything beautiful , but his behavior was beyond concerning . everyone awed at the baby bunny .  

"is there something i can help you li xing?" wei wuxian asked silently , petting a pregnant bunny which came for cuddles . 

"i-" li xing choked . how could she say it?

"take your own time " wei wuxian's voice was calm and collected which made her comfortable . 

"i wish to become an immortal , i am not dead yet , my core is strong . i wish to become an immortal wei wuxian " she said 

" why do you wish to become an immortal ?" wei wuxian put the tea cup on the table but stared at the ripples which moved in circles at the impact . 

li xing looked at her lap , she was unsure . then her resolve came to a conclusion after a long struggle on her head "i want to see everyone's reincarnation , i personally want to meet hanguang jun in his next life and also zewu zun too , i need to warn him to be cautious of back stabbers . i...... would love to even meet you in your next life too and..........wen qing too" the last one was a whisper , but wei wuxian heard it and smiled sadly . 

" do you know the consequences of being an immortal? " wei wuxian asked gently picking up the sleeping pregnant bunny and walking upto its small bed where another bunny looked like it was waiting for its wife . when wei wuxian gently laid the bunny on the bed , the next bunny rubbed its nose to the sleeping one's stomach and looked at wei wuxian who patted it on its head before returning to his place . 

li xing did not know the answer . wei wuxian sighed "being an immortal meant you will live forever , watching the days pass and pass with no real progress , no point of real reason to live . you will watch your loved ones die and look after their generations and generations and their deaths and would most likely live in grief . it is not like i cannot become an immortal , i can , i have the potential and knew the required knowledge to be an immortal , but i choose to die like a mortal . now tell me li xing , can you really live all alone ?"

the crowd was silent . wei wuxian knew how to become an immortal , but kept it all by himself?! how selfish ! the jin clan thought . the jiang siblings were frozen , their wei wuxian / a-xian never really told anything like this . 

both wei wuxian sighed out loud for once , they hated it whenever everyone looked at him with those eyes . 

"yes " li xing's voice was with full of determination . wei wuxian smiled . wei wuxian taught her celestial cultivation style method using suibian for 2 continuous years . 

the sword forms looked really majestic , it was more of a dance than fighting . 

"wait i have seen da-shixiong doing this dance with no sword on the lotus docks making many people clap for him" a junior jiang disciple shouted , then realizing his mistake . 

the two pairs of jiang sibling were really in disbelief . just how much secrets do wei wuxian hide from them?

suddenly wei wuxian got a letter from jiang clan via a white pigeon . his face turned towards rage , making his eyes turn crimson red . xiuying who was crossing simply looked at her mother and caught a glimpse of the letter , her eyes turned crimson red too . for once the two looked like male version and female version of the same person . it was rather frightening .

"like mother like daughter , wangji -xiong beware " nie huaisang whispered for fun and giggled making wei wuxian blush .

in seconds a huge dark miasma covered the three and when it dissipated , the three were in the lotus docks , when li xing looked at wei wuxian , she noticed that he no longer wore any white but signature black during his prime as yiling laozu . he marched forwards to the other side and saw many small clans in front ready to wage war over the jiang clan . 

the two sets of jiang siblings and their meat shields froze . this was not supposed to happen anytime . 

when the clans marched , xiuying picked out bichen and dashed , killing people like she was chopping vegetables . li xing used celestial cultivation style sword form and found that it was more effective than all the 5 clan's fighting style . soon came the expected flute sounds , which was eerier to send shivers to li xing's own spine even if she was stronger , but xiuying did not seem to mind either , she herself whistled at times for the dead corpses to protect her back . she took a glance at wei wuxian who looked like the devil itself . 

"w-wait t-that is the p-power of hanguang jun's daughter? s-seriously? i- i mean if she is against anyone , she can kill an entire clan by herself r-right ? t-this cant be true......" a jin disicple who fantasized her spoke 

meanwhile hanguang jun himself was unamused , all but proud of his daughter as he silently kissed his wei ying on his crown for giving him a life , their own . 

wei ying blushed . 

it was only 10 minutes when all the enemies dies , the death of 5 minor clans . the trio went to lotus cove all drenched in blood and refreshed themselves and xiuying had to leave when one of her protection talismans burnt . 

"5 minor clans......" everyone were scared shitless . 

"this way " a servant lead wei wuxian inside jiang cheng's personal chambers and li xing was escorted to a room to rest . 

everyone were curious .
