It was late in the afternoon and Tom was in his last class of the day which was potions. When all of a sudden Professor Mcgonagall came rushing in the class room saying.
"Tom! your dad is on the phone he needs to talk to you NOW!" Tom felt his heart beating faster and faster as he followed Professor Mcgonagall to her office!
"Hello?" Tom quickly answered.
"Tom you need to come home your mom is very sick!" Draco replied. Tom did not answer for a few seconds because he was trying to process what he had just heard!
"Tom." Draco said again.
"How am I supposed to get home?" Tom finally answered.
"Just use a transportation spell." Draco replied.
"Ok." Tom answered.
Then Tom transported himself home where is father was waiting for him.  Before Draco could say anything Tom asked
"Where's mom? What's wrong with her? What's wrong with her dad?" Tom asked.
"She's in the hospital come on let's go!" Draco answered.  Tom and Draco then got in their car and drove to the hospital.  When they walked in they saw doctors and nurses standing around Hermione's bed!
"What's wrong with my mom!" Tom asked.  The doctors and nurses stayed silent.
"ANSWER ME!" Tom demanded!
Just then a doctor asked Draco if he could talk to him out in the hall. Draco nodded and told Tom to go stand my Hermione's bed while he talked to the doctor then he followed the doctor outside...
Tom went over to his mom who was lying on her bed.
"Mom please if you can hear me please wake up I need you and so does Draco Jr. Please wake up mom we all need you. Please wake up mom!"  Just then Draco and the doctor returned into the room.
"I'm afraid your mother is in a coma!" Draco said.  Tears started rolling down Tom's face.
"Mom please wake up we need you PLEASE WAKE UP MOM!" Tom said as he grabbed Hermione's hand!
"I'm sorry Tom she's not going to wake up...yet." Draco replied.
"C'mon we got to get you back to school."
"No, I'm not leaving mom!" Tom replied.
"Don't worry you can come back and visit her everyday I promise. Draco said with a small smile.
"Or maybe I can quit Hogwarts and stay here with her." Tom suggested.
"Now what would mom say if she heard you say that?" Draco asked.
"She would tell me to go back to school." Tom answered.
"Exactly." Draco replied with a laugh.
"Ok I guess I have to go now." Tom said as he walked over to his mom's bed and gave her a hug!
"Please wake up mom I really need you." Tom told her as he started to cry.  Draco walked over to his son and gave him a nod.
"Come on Tom lets get you back to school now."
"Ok, I'm coming." Tom replied as he gave his mom one last hug goodbye.  As they were walking out the door Tom looked back and asked the doctor.
"Is she going to die?"
