Nova's POV

"she makes a bet about the future and then the immediate future is manipulated into chaos; what will happen when her power grows stronger?
She could destroy everything in existence." Fury said answering all of our questions. A bit pathetic to my opinion.
"So what bet did she do this time?" White Tiger A.K.A Ava asked."Nova?" Fury asked in return. "She mentioned something about me sucking my toe " I mumbled under my breath ferociously blushing a super hot shade of red. Great! Everyone laughing and Nick Fury even cracked a smile!
I stormed off to my room; Peter a.k.a SpiderMan, Spidey or Web-Head was on my bed looking up and across the room to Stacey on her bed trying to read something but kept on being interrupted by Spidey that was trying to make a conversation with her.
"Nova! What was the council with Fury about?" "I'm sure the others can't wait to tell you!" I snapped at him in response.
He immediately zipped off to the others to find out before I could even get to finish my sentence.
"You know what Stace?" I asked going to my bed and taking my helmet off "what?" "You could of helped us. But instead you chose to humiliate me."
"How?" She asked finally putting down what I now saw to be a marvel "How could I have possibly helped you?". "Don't play dumb you little..." Then I saw her face, it was serious and for the first time ever since the two days I've known her, she showed an emotion, depression and confusion.
"You realy don't know do you?" "Know what?" She asked wrinkles forming in-between her eyebrows as her confusion increased "You have the power to manipulate the future threw a bet, you could of helped us. You could have made a bet that Doctor Octopus would trip or have an accident or something." "Oh" was all she said after awhile trying to cover her face by putting her head in her folded arms that she rested on her knees but not before I saw sadness taking control of her features as a single tear ran down her cheek.

Stacey's POV.

"Oh" was all I said. A single tear ran down my cheek as I tried to remind myself to be emotionless but I couldn't help it, tears started to flow down from my eyes in streams on my face as I had a quick flashback.

I bet that this car seat will erupt into flames. And if it doesn't work? Then I'll have a frowney face cut into my chest by the wind.

End of flashback.

'Alavar died because of that stupid bet. My stupid bet'. I thought to myself covering my eyes while bursting into a fit of sobs crying my eyes out, I heard a slight creaky sound from behind me and then some pressure on the mattress behind me and before I knew it I was wrapped up in Sam's (a.k.a Nova's) arm's sobing myself away.
"Stacey? Stacey, What's wrong?" He asked gently wrocking us back and forth on the bunk.
Then I couldn't keep it all in anymore, so I spilled it all out, even my promise not to grow attached to anyone again for fear of being hurt or worse... Losing them.
"One must not live his or her life in fear."quoted Iron Fi... Wait! What was he doing here?!? Me and Nova looked over the upper bunk beds rim slightly separating to see the whole team standing there with a snickering SpiderMan among them.
"How long" me and Nova asked as I quickly started wiping the tears out of one eye and then heading for the other one until Nova beat me to it by wiping it clean with his thumb while warmly smiling down at me, I gave a small smile back. "Ooh! Love birds! Stacey and Sam sitting in a tr- Ow! What the hell was that for!?! " Spidey shouted as white tiger  interrupted his little chant by elbowing him hard in the stomach. "Leave them be" was her answer as she pushed by him and out the door, "we kinda eavesdropped on the whole thing" Power Man said before leaving with Danny a.k.a Iron Fist.
"I... Uh... I'll go scan the city for trouble or go to Harry's." Spidey awkwardly excused himself backing up backwards out the door stumbling a little on the door step before closing the door leaving me and Sam alone again.
I sighed and laid my head on his shoulder as he tightened his arms around me that had temporarily loosened their hold on me when the others had interrupted. Then he whispered in my ear "everything will be ok from now on. This is you're new beginning. Don't ruin it because of the past."
"Okay." "What happens now is entirely up to you" he continued.
"I just new you were gonna say that bucket head". He gave a slight chuckle.
"You should probably head to the training room now since you couldn't go last time because of Dr.Octopus ." "I don't know where it is, I haven't budged from this room except to use the bathroom." "don't worry about it, I'll fly you there to save up time. you're not allowed to go or be alone anyway with an exception to the bathroom."
He jumped off the bed and bent over to put on his helmet "jump on" he said holding out his arm's towards me while I climbed down the bed taking my time "You're... Seriously gonna pick me up bridal style?" I asked a bit suspicious "yeah,why? Do you prefer piggie-back?" He asked "Yes please" I answered him remembering how I used to do that all the time with my brother, a little grin spread across my face as he turned around and I hopped on to his back "hold on tight!" "kay" and then we were off.

Time skip to the training room.

Nova's POV.

"Finally." Was all Nick Fury said to us when Stacey had slid down my back as I landed in front of him; then he added a bit kinder "in there" pointing to the double doors behind him and then turning around beckoning me to follow him as Stacey went threw the door's so we could watch her from a screen.
"Where are the others?" He asked "about" I answered as he nodded while turning the screen on then "call them in" I did as I was told and then started watching along with director Fury how Stacey was doing.... Bad. Very,very bad.
Until.... She finally got ticked off at constantly being beaten and started insulting the robot's and then I guess she made a bet about superpowers cuz afterwards her fist was covered in flames,her hair a seethrough blue and then plant's erupted out of the robot in front of her as she punched it with her firing fire fist making it burst into flames as a savage war cry ripped out of her lips making all of the other robot's shatter into a million pieces from what I think was super sonic judging by those sound waves.
She then looked down at her hand's in awe.
Then she... What the heck is that? A victory dance? Yeash! She needs some practice on that!
I looked at Fury, he was frowning. Bad sign, was it because of the victory dance? I waited for him to explain himself. He did "we need to impose a limit on her original power or she could continue betting and getting more and more powers till she explodes or turns against us and no one will be able to stop her."
"What did we miss?" Spidey asked as he and the rest of the team arrived. "Stacey obtained the power of the four elements with a bet." I snickered at their expressions of pure shock.
"White tiger, get in there and help her develop some agility in her movements. Then take her to Doctor Conners for her superpowers".
With that he left as Ava went in to help Stacey with her agility and to then take her to Dr.Conners for her superpowers.
