Ten Inch Hero pt. 3

I sighed, rubbing my forehead as I nodded. "Yeah, yeah, I'll call you as soon as we're done," I stated.

"You said it's just another week?" Avi asked.

"Yep, we finish this Friday," I replied

"Can I just send you the scripts, so they get to your house say...Saturday?" he questioned. "We're not in a rush, I just want you at the next meeting."

"Yeah, I want to be there too," I replied. "So go ahead and send them so I can start reading them right away."

"Awesome," he said. "Call me when you've gotten through the first few."

"Will do," I responded, closing my eyes.

"Alright, have fun, and tell Scott I said hi."

"You got it," I said. "Bye, Avi."

"Bye, Mitch," he said, before hanging up.

Sighing as I let my hand fall back down to my side, I leaned back against the trailer. I didn't need to open my eyes to know that the sun wasn't even rising yet, cursing the fact that Avi was in New York.

"Da Vinci, what are you doing up?"
I looked over to the door of the trailer, smiling softly as I saw Scott. His hair was a mess, he still didn't have a shirt on, and he was swaying slightly as he tried to rub the sleep from his eyes.

"Avi called me," I told him, moving to his side.

Scott groaned as both of us moved back into the trailer. "This early? Why?"

"He's in New York, working on Season 2," I answered, taking off my cardigan as he collapsed back onto the bed.

He hummed, keeping his eyes on me as I slid off the sandals I had put on. "Gonna be weird to go from Priestly to Dean."

"Ah, you'll get it," I replied, slapping his leg softly. "Scoot."

He did, turning on his side as I laid down beside him, pulling the blanket over us. Scott's arms wrapped back around my waist, pulling me into him. I closed my eyes as I breathed him in, cuddling into him.

"You ready to run Hair and Makeup again?" He muttered.

"Kinda," I whispered. "At least I'll have a bigger team."

"True," he replied.

Both of us fell into silence, reveling in each other. "Love you," I muttered.
"Love you too," he said, kissing my temple.

I hummed softly, glancing at the clock in the makeup trailer. Scott had just left to film one of today's scenes, so I had at least an hour of free time.

Reaching to the table and grabbing my phone, I texted Penelope Garcia. "Free for at least an hour now!" I texted her, hitting send.

Setting my phone down, I crossed my fingers that I would get to talk to Spencer. I missed him dearly, and with the stress of finishing this movie and getting right to work on planning for Supernatural, I hoped talking to him would help. I just needed to rant, and while Scott would be more than willing to listen, he was too close to Supernatural to fully understand. Scott had three weeks before he would get back into the role of Dean, while me...it seemed like this summer at least, Hawaii was my only vacation.

Closing my eyes and taking a deep breath, I tried to relax. But as my phone rang, I picked it up instantly, smiling widely as I saw that Spencer's work number was calling me.

I answered the call right away. "Spenc?"

"Mitch!" I heard him cry. "Hi!"

"Hi!" I replied. "How are you?"

"I'm good," he replied. "Slow day today. Garcia said you needed to talk, what's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong," I told him. "I just...missed talking to you."

"I missed talking to you too," he said. "I mean, I wanted to call, but...I figured you were busy with the movie."

"I am, but I'm free while right now at least," I told him. "I do get to relax while they film, as long as their makeup doesn't go awry."

He laughed over the phone, making me laugh as well. "Well good," he commented. "How's the movie looking?"

"Oh, it's gonna be great," I replied. "I'm excited to see it when it's finished."

"That's great," he said. "You'll have to send me a copy when it comes out."

"Or you could come visit, watch it with us," I suggested. "I mean, I can still get you a copy, but we could watch it together."

"That would be awesome!" he cried. "Oh, and Garcia, and Todrick, and Kevin could all come!"

I laughed. "Any of your team could come, Spenc. We could all have a movie viewing party."

"Oh, and you could invite, Scott's co star, Kirstin! I'd like to see her again."

"Oh, I think Kirstin would like that," I agreed, my smile wide.

"I hope so! How short is she anyways?"

"Too short." Spencer laughed, making my smile grow.

"So, what's wrong?" he asked then, after his laughter faded.

"What do you mean?" I responded.

"Something sounds off," he told me. "So, what is it?"

I sighed. "It's...I'm just tired."

"Why?" he questioned instantly.

"Well, filming for the movie ends Friday." I said. "And I'm gonna miss it, of course, but...this morning I got a call from Avi."

"Avi is the man who created Supernatural, right?" Spencer asked.

"Yes, he is," I said. "But um, he called cause he's going to send me the scripts they have for the show. He wants me to read them, and plan hairstyles and makeup."

"Already?"

"Yeah, but I mean...it's my job, I guess."

"But when does filming start again?" Spencer pondered.

"A little more than a month," I told him, sighing.

"So Scott gets to relax while you work for the next three weeks, no wonder why you're stressed."

"I'll be fine," I said. "I just have to plan, and at least I can work from home then."

"That's good," he agreed. "Have you talked to Scott about it?"

"He knows I need to plan," I told him. "I just...don't want him to feel bad about not working while I do."

"Which is more than understandable," Spencer agreed. "You can always talk to me, alright? Just...you should tell Scott though. Keeping this from him won't help him or you."

I took a deep breath, nodding slowly. "Yeah, you're right. I'll...tell him. Thanks, Spenc."

"You are more than welcome," he replied. I could hear the happiness in his voice.

"So, how's work?" I asked then, changing the subject. "Other than slow today."

"Busy," Spencer told you. "I mean, we just finished this crazy case."

"Crazy how?" I questioned.

"Well, the unsub-"

"Unknown subject, right?" I interrupted.

"Exactly! So the unsub was taking men, around the age of 25, and we couldn't figure out why at first...."

—————————

"Why are you all smiley?"

I met Betty's eyes, shrugging. She had come in right after my call with Spencer had ended, his team getting another case. She needed her makeup redone just a little, which wasn't a big deal at all.

"No, don't do that," she pushed. "What is it?"

"I just finished talking with a friend," I told her. "I haven't talked to him in a few weeks."

"Him?" Betty echoed.

I sighed softly. "His name is Dr Spencer Reid, and he is the friends of my best friend's boyfriend," I told her. "Yes, kinda complicated, but he's a close friend, and he's busy all the time. He works for the FBI."

"Wow, FBI," Betty said, looking up at me. "Actor and FBI agents, you just get all the good guys."

"No, no, it's not like that," I told her, shaking my head. "He knows I love Scott, and he doesn't even like me in that way."

"Good, good," she said, smiling. "Well, I'm glad you got to talk to him again."

"Me too," I replied. "He's a good friend."

After a few minutes of silence, she asked, "Does Scott know you talk to him?"

I didn't blame her for worrying, I could see how close she and Scott were. But I answered her, saying, "Yes, and Scott has met him a few times. Spencer and his team helped put Ralph away for life."

"Oh, wow," Betty commented. "Great friend then."

"Yeah, I guess," I agreed. "He just...he's insanely smart, so he has a different perspective on...everything."

"Well that's great," she said, smiling. "Sometimes we need that, someone to just vent to."

"Exactly," I responded, before stepping away from her. "And you are done."

"Thanks!" she cried with a smile, before moving out of the trailer.

——————————

"Wow, almost done already."

Scott glanced at Betty, chuckling. "I know, seems strange," he commented.

"It does," she agreed. "But...it's been a blast."

"Yes, it really has," Scott agreed.

"So, we should get together more," she suggested, looking to him. "Once this is all over, I mean. I've missed you."

"That would be awesome," he said, smiling down at her. "I'd like that."

"Hey, and maybe when I find a good guy, we can double date."

Scott laughed. "Oh, we can do that."

—————————

I took a deep breath, smiling as I looked down at Scott, the electric shaver in my hand. "You ready for this?" I asked.

Today was the final day of filming, and they were filming the end the movie, and that included a big change for Priestly. In the movie, he shaved, bought new clothes, and got rid of his piercings for Tish. So, now I finally got to shave him.

Taking a deep breath, he nodded. "Let's do this."

Laughing softly, I turned it on, moving it to his skin.

Not even ten minutes later, my boyfriend was clean shaven. Turning him to the mirror, I rested my chin on his shoulder. "There's my old boyfriend," I said softly.

"Ah, he never left," Scott replied, smiling back at me. "Never will."

I laughed softly, kissing his jawline. "Love you," I muttered.

"Love you more," he replied, moving his head to kiss me.
