First Date pt. 1

Triple update for my birthday yeah???

I closed the last makeup case, smiling softly. "What's got you in such a good mood?"

I glanced up, laughing as I saw Kirstin standing in the doorway to the trailer. "You know, don't even act like you don't," I replied.

Kirstin chuckled, shrugging. "I know Scooter has been panicking when he's not around you," she replied.

I blushed at my friend's words, looking down at my hands.

"Panicking?" I repeated.

"In a good way!" Kirstin cried, instantly realizing what she had said. "Panicking about tomorrow!" I bit my lip to stop from laughing as Kirstin continued.
"He really just wants to make sure it's a good date, that's all."

Smiling, I shook my head, moving towards Kirstin. "I was just messing with you, Kirstie," I told her.

She scoffed, rolling her eyes. "God, I should have expected that."

I laughed, moving past her out of the trailer, Kirstin following me. It was sweet really, my friends were all worried about me, walking me to my trailer at night. I knew they were worried about Ralph, and part of me was too. But today, the whole weekend actually, I just wanted to relax, and go on my first official date with Scott.

"So, you ready for tomorrow?" Kirstin asked.

"For the most part," I replied, smiling.

Kirstin stopped making me slowly stop as well. She looked at me, raising her eyebrow. "Don't lie to me, Little Red."
Sighing, I looked around. Seeing no one else, I said, "I'm so nervous."

"You don't have to be," Kirstin replied, smiling.

"But you already told me Scott is," I replied.

"And you're both being stupid about it," She stated, her smile growing.
"You've known each other for months, and this date may seem different, but it's not. Okay?"

Smiling slowly, I nodded. "Yeah, you're right."

"Of course I am," Kirstin replied, making me laugh.

I took a slow deep breath, looking in the mirror. It was about 11:30, which is when Scott said he would come get me. It was early for a date, but he said he had something special planned. And his words only made me more nervous.

"It's just Scott," I whispered.

"We've done this plenty of times before. Just...not with the date label. Crap."

Kirstie was right, I really didn't have to worry. But I did, and I was, for good reason. Scott was different, in too many ways to count. Looking back on our friendship, it felt like every lunch and dinner together was a date.

So what, that made today our fifteenth date? Twentieth? Neither of us labeled them as dates, but they felt like dates, except less stressful because they didn't have the date label.

Was that what was wrong with the whole dating scene? Labeling dates as dates themselves had put a bad rep on dates. I could change the name, but then the stress would still be there, because it wasn't the name, it was the idea of ruining a relationship or future relationship. What was the line..."A rose by any other name is still a rose." That was exactly it, and a date by another other name would still make everyone a nervous wreck.

Oh god, I was rambling to myself now.

My mind stopped in its tracks then as knocks sounded on my trailer door. Taking a deep breath, I whispered, "Here we go."

Opening the door, my smile fell instantly, seeing one of the sound crew standing outside my trailer. His face fell as well, and he looked embarrassed instantly. "Oh god," he said, backing away. "I'm sorry, I have the wrong trailer. They all look alike."

I watched him move away, his face a bright red as I felt confused.

"What was that?"

I turned the opposite way he had ran, looking to see Scott standing beside me. "I have no idea," I told him, smiling.

We both laughed, our smiles growing. It was almost like, seeing Scott in front of me made all my worries disappear.

"You look beautiful," he said, his eyes locked on my face.

I blushed slowly, smiling. "Thank you."

"You ready?" He asked holding out his hand.

Taking it, I nodded. "Yes, I am."

I glanced at Scott as he parked the car, smiling as his eyes met mine. "Where are we?" I asked, not recognizing where he had taken me.

"Just a small place I found," He replied, stepping out of the car. I reached for the handle right when it was opened for me, Scott holding out his hand. I took it with a smile, letting him help me out.

"Thank you," I said softly.

He just smiled in return, leading me inside to the nearest store. I grew somewhat confused as I saw that it was a used book, movie, and music store, Scott leading me inside.

"This is our date?" I asked him as he opened the door.

Letting me inside first, he took a deep breath. "I wanted something different for our first official date," he told me, looking into my eyes. "We've had lunches and dinners so many times, I wanted something special for today."
I smiled, squeezing the hand I was still holding. "Different is perfect, Scooter."

He smiled, letting out a sigh of relief. "You have no idea how good it is to hear you say that," he replied.

I laughed softly, looking around the store, noticing but not caring that the cashier's eyes were locked onto us both. "So, what are we doing here?" I asked him.

"It was an idea I found," he told me, leading me farther into the store. "We each grab our favorite book, album, and movie. Then, we grab take out, or pizza, your choice, and go back to the set."

"What?" I asked, still somewhat confused.

He laughed, looking down at me. "I have a tv and dvd player in my trailer," he told me. "So, we watch both movies, eat the take out or pizza while watching the movies."

"So, what are the books and albums for?" I questioned.

"We each give each other our book and album," Scott told me, his smile wide. "So before our next date we read the book, listen to the music. It helps us get to know each other more, and gives us something to talk about on our next date."

Slowly, I smirked, stepping closer to him. "What makes you think we'll have a second date?"

He chuckled, raising an eyebrows as he slowly smirked at me in return. "Oh, we're doing this, huh?"

I giggled softly, my smirk turning into a smile as he leaned in, but I backed away before he could kiss me. "So do we split up to find our three items, or stay together?" I asked.

Scott laughed, shrugging. "That's up to you."
