Meanwhile, in the town, a young Captain with long, blond hair, blond beard and a horse walk around Paris trying to find the Palace of Justice. It's where Thanos is most of the time. But this young Captain is Captain Thor who has just come home from war. He's been away for some time. So long that he doesn't recognize anything around him. While trying to find the Palace of Justice, he sees three Gypsies dancing and playing instruments. The two dancing Gypsy girls are (Y/N) and Maddie. Sisters. Maddie is (Y/N)'s younger sister. She has brown hair, brown eyes, tan skin and glasses which she had to find.

You can't always find glasses that are right for your eyesight. (Y/N), however, had (H/L) (H/C) hair, (E/C) eyes, (S/C) skin and was quite a beautiful woman along with her sister. They were dancing to earn money for everyone in the Court of Miracles. Home of the Gypsies. Thor put some money in a hat that was displayed to pay the Gypsies. Thor noticed Maddie and really took a liking to the young sister. Unfortunately, a Gypsy boy warned them that guards were coming so they ran for it. (Y/N) took the hat full of money and ran but some fell out.

Maddie took it from her sister and quickly grabbed the coins but some guards caught her claiming Maddie stole the money when she earned it. The sisters knocked them down before running for it. Thor saved them from the guards by moving his horse and having him sit on one of them. One of the guards threatened Thor but he revealed his sword and armour. That's when they recognized him and took him to the Palace of Justice where Thanos was having someone whip the old Captain of the Guard.

Thanos saw Thor, "Ah, so this is the gallant Captain Thor, home from the wars."

"Reporting for duty, as ordered, sir," Thor said respectfully.

"Your service record precedes you, Thor. I expect nothing but the best from a war hero of your calibre."

"And you shall have it, sir. I guarantee it."

"Yes. You know, my last captain of the guard was, um, a bit of a disappointment to me."

A whip-crack and a scream disrupt Thanos. Thor appeared startled at the crack.

"Well, no matter," Thanos said, "I'm sure you'll whip my men into shape."

"Uh, thank you, sir, uh, very, uh, trem- uh, a tremendous honour, sir," Thor said being polite.

They walk and talk in an open area.

"You've come to Paris in her darkest hour, Captain," Thanos said, "it will take a firm hand to save the weak-minded from being so easily misled."

"Misled, sir?" Thor asked curiously.

"Look, Captain. Gypsies. The gypsies live outside the normal order. Their heathen ways inflame the peoples' lowest instincts, and they must be stopped."

"I was summoned from the wars to capture fortune tellers and palm readers?"

"Oh, the real war, Captain, is what you see before you. For twenty years, I have been taking care of the gypsies, one by one," On each of the last three words, Thanos crushes one of three ants on a tile, "and yet, for all of my success, they have thrived," he flips the tile over, revealing scores of ants scurrying around underneath, "I believe they have a safe haven, within the walls of this very city. A nest, if you will. They call it the Court of Miracles."

"What are we going to do about it, sir?"

Thanos slams the tile back down upside down, and turns it, crushing the remainder of the ants.

"You make your point quite vividly, sir," Thor said.

"You know, I like you, captain," Thanos said, "Shall we?"

He begins to depart when the crowd begins to cheer audibly below.

"Oh, duty calls," Thanos said, "have you ever attended a peasant festival, Captain?"

"Not recently, sir," Thor

"Then this should be quite an education for you. Come along."

At the festival, Loki is climbing down from Notre Dame to attend, hidden under a cloak in case he turned blue or his master saw him. The people started to sing for the festival of fools. Loki used a rope to get to about ground level but stayed on a wooden pole where the rope was being held. Only for it to untie and swing Loki into an empty space in front of everyone.

'Come and join the feast of...'

'Fools!' Peter appeared from the crowd in front of Loki as confetti and flags appeared behind him.

Loki obviously got scared at this close up experience of the Festival of Fools. Turning blue, he tried to escape but Peter stopped him.

'Once a year we throw a party here in town, once a year we turn all Paris upside down! Ev'ry man's a king and ev'ry king's a clown, once again it's Topsy Turvy Day! It's the day the devil in us gets released, it's the day we mock the prig and chuck the priest, ev'rything is topsy turvy at the Feast of the Fools!'

'Topsy Turvy!' The crowd sang.

Loki is trying everything to escape the crowd and Peter but he keeps finding ways to include the scared Frost Giant.

'Ev'rything is upsy daysy!' Peter said.

'Topsy Turvy!'

'Ev'ryone is acting crazy, dross is gold and weeds are a bouquet, that's the way on Topsy Turvy Day!'

After dancing with some girls from one tent to another, Loki is thrown into a tent where Maddie and (Y/N) were getting ready for their performance.

"Are you all right?" (Y/N) asked Loki.

"I didn't mean to...I'm sorry," Loki said backing away and hiding behind his hood.

"You're not hurt, are you? Here, here, let's see," (Y/N) reached for his hood.

"No, no, no!"

(Y/N) tries to pull the hood away from Loki's face, and he is unsuccessful at stopping her. Maddie, upon seeing Loki's Jotun side, sneers. (Y/N), however, doesn't flinch.

"There. See, no harm done," (Y/N) said before showing Loki out, "Just try to be a little more careful."

"I-I-I will," Loki stuttered leaving the tent

"By the way, great face paint," (Y/N) smiles as Loki leaves.

'Topsy Turvy!' The crowd said.

'Beat the drums, and blow the trumpets!' Peter sang.

'Topsy Turvy!'

'Join the bums and thieves and strumpets,' both Peter and the crowd sang, 'Streaming in from Chartres to Calais!'

'Scurvy knaves are extra scurvy,
On the 6th of 'Januervy'!'

'All because it's Topsy Turvy Day!'

'Come one, come all! Hurry, hurry, here's your chance, see the myst'ry and romance! Come one, come all! See the finest girl in France, make an entrance to entrance! Dance la (Y/N), Dance!'

Peter disappeared in a cloud of smoke and was replaced by (Y/N). Thor and Thanos had arrived to watch the Festival. Thor was enjoying himself but Thanos wasn't, as he mentioned to Loki only hours before. (Y/N) danced in front of Thanos, wrapping a scarf around him and teased a kiss before leaving him with the scarf. Before finishing her performance, (Y/N) threw a wink at Loki who blushed. He wasn't even scared anymore but kept up his Jotun form just for her as she didn't seem to mind the look.

"And now, ladies and gentlemen, the piece de resistance!" Peter said, 'Here it is, the moment you've been waiting for! Here it is, you know exactly what's in store! Now's the time we laugh until our sides get sore, now's the time we crown the King of Fools! You all remember last years king?"

The last king of fools was carried in on a throne, waving and burping.

'So make a face that's horrible and frightening, make a face as gruesome as a gargoyle's wing,' that offended Tony, 'for the face that is the ugliest will be the King of Fools! Why?'

'Topsy Turvy!'

'Ugly folk forget your shyness!' (Y/N) helped Loki up on stage, his cloak falling off in the process.

'Topsy Turvy!'

'You could soon be called 'Your Highness'!'

'Put your foulest creatures on display,
Be the King of Topsy Turvy Day!'

(Y/N) and Maddie took off people's mask to see who will be crowned the new king. One after the other was kicked off stage until the last one up there was Loki. (Y/N) tried to wipe off his blue skin until she realized; that's what he actually looks like. Everyone was horrified to see the relatively small Frost Giant look lost and scared. One recognized him as the bell ringer. Thanos, noticing that the last man on stage is the one he's kept hidden for twenty years has disobeyed him. Loki hid his face in shame.

Trying to keep things festive, Peter jumped on stage, "Ladies and gentlemen, don't panic. We asked for the ugliest face in Paris, and here he is. Loki, the Frost Giant of Notre Dame!"

Peter crowned Loki as the King of Fools and everyone celebrated.

'Ev'rybody!'

'Once a year we throw a party here in town!' The townsfolk sang.

'Hail to the King!'

'Once a year we turn all Paris upside down!'

'Oh, what a King!'

'Once a year the ugliest will wear the crown!'

"Girls, give a kiss!" Two girls kissed Loki's cheeks.

'Once a year on Topsy Turvy Day!'

'We've never had a King like this! And it's the day we do the things that we deplore, on the other 364. Once a year we love to drop in, where the beer is never stoppin'! For the chance to pop some popinjay! And pick a King who'll put the 'top' in Topsy Turvy Day! Mad and crazy, upsy-daisy, Topsy Turvy Day!'

Loki was put on a platform with a crown, a cape and a staff. Loki had never been happier. Thanos, however, was not at all pleased. One of Thanos' guards mocked Loki by throwing a tomato at him and calling him ugly. More fruit and vegetables were thrown at Loki as he was mocked. Trying to escape, he slipped on a tomato, causing him to fall. One last attempt to escape got him caught on a lasso around his neck, pulling him back.

Loki attempted to free himself as a second lasso was thrown around his wrist. Attempting to break free of the lasso's didn't end too well. Loki managed to rip through the back of his clothing that was already almost too tight for him. With all his strength, he tried breaking free but more and more lasso's wrapped around him before he was eventually tackled and tied down.

The ones who tied him down spun him on the platform as more food was thrown at him. (Y/N) watched the commotion as she exited her tent. Loki called for help from Thanos who just turned away like he didn't know him. Thor asked for permission to stop the abuse but Thanos said no. That was, until (Y/N) walked up to help Loki. She apologised for what happened and wiped some of the food off his face.

"You, gypsy girl. Get down at once," Thanos ordered

"Yes, your honour. Just as soon as I free this poor creature," (Y/N) said.

"I forbid it!"

She whips out a knife and cuts the ropes holding Loki.

"How dare you defy me?" Thanos said

"You mistreat this poor boy the same way you mistreat our people," Maddie said standing with her sister, "you speak of justice, yet you are cruel to those most in need of your help!"

"Silence!" Thanos said getting angry.

"JUSTICE!" The sisters said raising their arms and fists

"Mark my words, gypsies. You will pay for this insolence."

"Then it appears we've crowned the wrong fool. The only fool I see is you!" (Y/N) said throwing Loki's crown in Thanos' direction.

Thanos ordered Thor to arrest the girls. Only for them both to escape and Those convicted that how they did it was witchcraft. It had turned dark now. Thanos ordered Thor to find the girls alive. As Thor got to work on that, Thanos approached Loki who was still a mess from all the abuse. Loki promised never to disobey his master again before hiding back in the Cathedral where he belonged.
