Izuku's pov

Today was the day that we'd get our dorm rooms, and I arrived early along with Uraraka, Tsuyu, Iida, Shinso, and Sho- I mean!- Todoroki so we'd get to pick ours first! Aizawa-Sensei and Midnight-sama were already there waiting for us along with a few other students. We all talked for a while until Nezu-sama came, and showed us to the dormitories. Once we opened the doors everyone ran in and started to look around in aw, me including.

"Well what are you all waiting for? Go and pick you rooms!" announced Nezu as the others took their leave.

We all split up to look around the many floors of this place, with me, Iida, Shinso and Shot- Todoroki! I-I mean Todoroki!

'Geez I need to get used to calling him that, he doesn't like people using his first name for some reason and I want to know why. B-B-But I d-don't want to be r-rude and pry i- into his personal life! I-It's his business, n-not mine! A-And besides I-'

My thoughts were cut short by Iida shaking me back to reality while the others just stared in confusion.
"Are you alright Midoriya? You seemed to be lost in thought." He said while making robotic movements with his arms, which made me laugh a little.
"Y-Yeah, I'm f-fine! Just thinking
a-about what room I m-might want!" I lied as everyone else nodded except Sh- Todoroki who seemed to almost glare as we continued exploring.

'I'm bad at breaking old habits ok!' (>//~\\<*)

I could feel his eyes on me the entire time we were walking, but I guess it's just me being paranoid. Iida and Shinso chose rooms on the second floor while me and T-Todoroki took the elevator.

'See! I-I'm getting better at it!'

As we were riding the elevator to the next floor I felt a sudden chill go down my spine, but I didn't pay much attention to it as the doors opened. We continued to walk in silence till he was the first to speak by saying,

"I know you were lying earlier."

His voice was monotone and almost lifeless, with his eyes sending another cold chill down my spine. I could hear distant growling and hissing from the monsters and spirits that are clearly watching from a distance.

"W-Well I-"

"Did you have a reason for lying to us?"

"I-I just-"

"To them?"

At this point we had stopped walking and the growls and hissing had taken form as insects and goblin-like demons.

He stood there staring at me with calm, dead eyes as I started fidgeting in place with Checkers pacing around in the shadows of the hallway.
"Well?" He asked with an eye brow raised in expectation. I felt something in me tick as I began to blackout a little.

No one's pov

The room went silent for what felt like hours till Todoroki decided to speak up again.
"Well?"
No response.
"Hello?"
No response. .
"Midoriya?"

Silence. . .

"W-What?" He was a bit taken back by this. His voice was deep and distorted and he posture was straight and calm, unlike his slightly slouched and nervous one only seconds prior.

"ł ₮Ⱨł₦₭ ł ₥₳ĐɆ ₥Ɏ₴ɆⱠ₣ QɄł₮Ɇ
₵ⱠɆ₳Ɽ ₴ⱧØ₮Ø ₮ØĐØⱤØ₭ł."

"Who are you?" He took a step back as the lights began to flicker. It was only then when he noticed a familiar black and white cat appear on his shoulder.

"ĐØɆ₴ ₮Ⱨł₴ ₳₦₴₩ɆⱤ ɎØɄ
QɄɆ₴₮łØ₦?" They blinked and moved in unison, that's when he could hear growling and hissing coming from his left and right.

"W-What? What are you and what are you doing to him?" His voice was stern as he felt the room grow cold and frost began to claw up the walls and windows.

Before he could ask any further questions, the sounds disappeared, the lights stopped flickering, and the temperature evened out to a warmer temperature like before. Izuku's posture change to a slouched and slightly shaky one before collapsing, but Todoroki caught him before he hit the floor.
'Damn this is all my fault. I shouldn't have persisted.'
He picked Izuku up bridal style and carried him to a room that seemed quite comfortable in Todoroki's opinion and laid him down on the bed that was in there and sat down at the end of it. He looked down at the sleeping boy with pity and sorrow.

"I'm sorry Izuku."
