2- Class Is Now In Session!
I took my schedule out of my back pocket so I could navigate my way to orientation. It was in the gym... So I... Um... I... I lost Asahina, and Ikusaba was long gone. So... I guess I'm hopelessly lost now.
Great.
Cue the jazz hands...
Letting out I sigh- I pressed my face against the map on the back of my schedule and silently started attempting to make my way to the gym. Only to bump into someone fifteen seconds later- wow, I'm really unluckily clumsy for a Nurse...
"Watch it," A monotonously angry female voice spoke.
I looked up and saw a girl with pale lilac hair, in an -almost black- purple pinstripe suit with a matching headband. She seemed composed yet angry with me... Oh no... She was probably a strong person.
I messed up- didn't I?
"U-um..." I stuttered, an embarrassed flush rising to my cheeks," I-... I'm so sorry mam'... I was trying to find my way to the gym and I suppose I wasn't looking where I was going... Hence why I bumped into you..."
Though I was trying to be formal, evidently my fear was noticeable to this woman. This was really further cementing the idea that it was a bad idea to bump into her- intentional or otherwise.
The girl let out a sigh- pinching the bridge of her nose softly," I... Can take you to the gym, as that's where I'm heading. Though after that- you're on your own."
She... Obviously wasn't going to tell me her name, huh? It was kinda rude seeing as she clearly was a teen- so she likely went here. I mean, I was probably going to half to talk to her several times. But none the less I simply nodded silently.
Then- suddenly- she started moving. Now I didn't have any other hope of making it to orientation, so I followed the girl. I'm going to call her... Lilac for the time being. It's easier than 'the girl' anyways.
So 'Lilac' strode confidently yet wordlessly along the tiled floors of the school. Until, soon enough, she reached the end goal- of course being the gym.
She gave me a stern yet wary look and strode into said gym- away from me.
Though before 'Lilac' got too far out of my range, she simply stated," Kyoko Kirigiri. Don't think about it to hard."
So, I was left dumbfounded at the doors of the gym (which appeared to be a gym and auditorium... That made sense.) with all eyes on me. Oh no. Now I'm normally pretty okay in social situations, but when there's around thirty eyes on me... It's admittedly a different story.
I didn't have time to think very hard about 'Lila'- or Kirigiri rather, before I heard-
"Naegi-Kun! Over here!" That was the unmistakable voice of Asahina... Though the honorific was a new addition.
I let out a soft chuckle before hurrying twords Asahina, sitting next to her. To my right however- I was met with another semi-familiar face. Mukuro Ikusaba.
I thought for a moment before responding," Hey Asahina-Chan," girly and cutesy- despite her Talent- I turned and nodded at Ikusaba," Ikusaba-San."
"Naegi-San," Ikusaba said with a faint smile and a conformational nod.
... I didn't expect that formality. I would have honestly expected Ikusaba to just settle with the simple 'Kun' and leave it at that. Huh, that really said something about her character.
I trained my eyes onto the stage in front of us all -as Asahina Ikusaba and I were in the front row of seats- and silently waited for orientation to begin.
A dirty blonde woman walked onto the stage- triggering a hush among the crowd of students. This was the principle of Hopes Peak Academy... Yukiko Kuzuryu. She seemed to be middle-aged, she was somehow very well built despite obviously being -just slightly- overweight.
Yukiko-Sensei took a microphone from the stand at the top of the stage before starting to speak," Hello New students of Hopes Peak Academy! Welcome to the school that raises the greatest prodigies in the world!" a few people cheer," I'm aware that time is running short before you must report to your homeroom, and you're all a large class... So here's your homeroom teacher! Ms. Yukizome."
She was surprisingly full of energy.
Yukizome-Sensei happily walked onto the stage, taking the mic from Kuzuryu-Sensei and then starting her own speech," Oh..
I don't have much to say- but I hope you all have a wonderful time at Hopes Peak Academy! I know you'll make new friends, and if you don't... To bad 'ya rotten oranges! You will!"
After she finished, everyone began mumbling about being called 'rotten oranges'... Did all of the teachers really have that much energy? Not to say it wasn't a change from all of the teachers at my old school- who nearly fell asleep at their desks every day. But... It was interesting to say the least.
"Anyways-" Yukizome-Sensei added," Get to class! You can't be late on your first day!"
I... Don't think that that's how orientation is meant to work...
But everyone was leaving- so that meant it was the end. Despite how odd the end may have been.
Before I could finish that thought process however- catastrophe happened. What was this catastrophe?... Well, I call it the start of the (un)lucky four.
A girl with slightly choppy looking purple-ish hair knocked into a boy. This boy was a bit taller than her- he was holding a water bottle. The water bottle ended up conning unscrewed in the air before hitting a girl who wore a pink Victorian like short dress. This inturn made the girl drop the playing cards she was holding- and in a struggle to grab them she knocked over a girl with blonde twin tails and a green jacket.
They all fell down a flight of stairs... I didn't want to know how that was possible.
"E-eh?! N-Nanami-Chan... Hinata-Sama! Are you two alright?!" A worried voice yelped- when I turned I saw a worried face that matched said tone.
Komaeda Nagito... My sister had lots of magazines, I had seen the face several times before (not in person of course)... It was hard to miss hair that looked like that. Komaeda-San walked over to the top of the steps... Everyone else was just frozen in confusion.
"I'm-" the voice trying to speak gets cut off- before returning," a-ah! We're- We're okay- oh okay Nanami-Chan please... Please never make me do that again." This must be 'Hinata-Sama' in Komaedas own words. Why would Komaeda even address him with 'Sama'... He clearly wasn't a God... Was he?
Oh geez... This much had happened before I even started homeroom... This was gonna be an interesting year, huh?
With that in mind we finished making our way to homeroom... After getting the unlucky bunch back with us.
