"Cat Noir! Any word from Lupin?" Ladybug asked.

Cat Noir shook his head saying "Sorry malady, but this cat hasn't found a claw nor paw of our mutual friend."

Ladybug was starting to get worried. Lupin wouldn't actually leave so soon, would he? He also knew exactly who Hawk Moth is, so why would he ditch them?

The two then heard screaming, rushing over to the scene.

"Somethings wrong! There should be more people here!"

The two the looked to see Lila herself get pinned to a wall by a new Akuma. He wore a long black coat, devilish black helmet with sharp teeth painted on along with wolf ears.

Black fur covering their arms and legs, a furry tail behind them. Nails extended into sharp claws, curved to cut into flesh.

The villain growled at Lila and said "Lila Rossi, what do you despise the most?! Who causes you the most spite?!"

Lila glared at the villain, a response uttering out a "Ladybug! I hate her so freaking much!"

A black glow enveloped her and she gained Ladybug's outfit, except inverted, black with the spots being red. He released Lila, letting her go commit more chaos.

He turned around to face the heroes and said "Well look who's arrived! Paris heroes! Guess I should introduce myself!"

He did a bow and said "I am Spite! You're soon to be worst villain!"

Chat Noir stared at him for a second before saying "Silver Lupin?"

The villain smirked, confirming their suspicions.

"Silver, this isn't you, we can help you get through this!" Ladybug said trying to reach him.

He put up his hands and shook his head saying "No can do." He glared at the two before yelling "JUSTIFICATION!"

Instead of his usual weaponry, he howled into the sky, A purple mask appearing on his face.

"What are you doing Spite?!" Hawk Moth demanded.

"Everyone in a certain radius of me, not including you, will be forced into a lucid dream. There, I have all the power I could want! So please, Hawk Moth,"

The heroes passed out, and he started to do the same.

"Be patient!"

Ladybug and Cat Noir woke up in what appeared to be an endless void.

"Where are we?" Chat Noir asked.

The two got back to back, hearing Spite's laugh echo around them.

"Who to start with first.... How about you, Cat Noir?"

The ground beneath them cracked, shattering. The two fell into a hole, the top gaining bars to trap them.

"You put on a facade, smiling boldly, and yet.... You joke about a terrible home life."

The two blink and suddenly they are standing on a pedestal, high above Paris.

"You stand on a pedestal, hoping that no one sees you for the coward you are. And when it breaks,"

The pedestal cracks and the two fall down, consumed by darkness. They land on a giant chess board, Cat Noir being placed on a spot meant for a pawn.

"You're back to square one, forever a pawn in someone else's game."

He slumped to his knees, taking it in.

"And you, Ladybug!"

Ladybug is then dragged away from her partner as she's pushed onto a stage, chained to it, cameras all around her.

"Doesn't it get tiring, always being watched, being judged by others?"

She's thrown down, holding onto the hand of a clock. It strikes midnight on it the villain continuing his monologue.

"The seconds counting down to when the world doesn't need you anymore.... You hate it."

The two heroes are put together, standing on a giant floating island.

"You're nothing! Both of you are doomed to fail, to think that Hawk Moth got beaten so many times by you in the past! How pathetic!" He walked towards them, saying "You'll only fail at the end, all heroes do! They fall, fumble, die! They abandon everything and everyone to be left alone!"

The heroes looked up at him seeing tears stream down his face as he spoke. That when they came to the realization:

He was talking about himself.

"And then, other people suffer for their mistakes! And what do people do when the hero falls? Nothing, they just find someone else to look to!"

They could see the pain in his expression as he spoke, no longer smiling.

"Why don't you see that?! You're just going to end up hurt! So why.... Why do you still.... I'm tired."

He fell to his knees, everything brightening as the woke up. They looked to see him on his knees still.

".... You know, when I first got the miraculous, I was so happy. I was given a chance to make things right.... When she died, this was the only thing that made sense."

He stood up slowly and said "Maybe I just wasn't meant to hold a miraculous, look at all they've caused already.... It's in the collar."

Ladybug walked over to him, grabbing the bell and saying "Cat Noir...."

He nodded and activated his cataclysm. He touched the collar, turning to to ash.

"MIRACULOUS LADYBUG!"

Silver Lupin now stood there, his miraculous blinking.

He sighed and began to walk away, saying "Hunt end."

He detransformed in a nearby alleyway and Slick asked "You okay kid?"

He nodded before saying "Let's stop by the bakery, alright?", a smile present on his face.

"Artemis! We haven't seen you for a few days!" Mr. Dupain Cheng said placing down some cookies.

"Sorry, just had some personal stuff going on. Anyways, I'll have a few croissants, I've got a busy day ahead of me!"

Mr. Dupain Cheng walked away to get his order, and the teenager leaned up against the wall.

He waited for his order before looking at his phone.

"Alya made a new post."

He tapped the play button before seeing a recording of his fight earlier. He mostly ignored it until the ending where you could see a flash in the background.

"No way...."

From the alleyway, he saw himself look around before running off.

During this the camera was pointed at Alya so you were focused on her.

".... Slick. You awake?"

His kwami looked up from his jacket and said "I heard everything. We need to stop at the Cesaire girl's place before someone else sees that! Particularly at certain cat and bug!"

He grabbed his order and took off into the nearby alleyway.

He ran in, transformed, and jumped onto a rooftop. As he was running he thought about how this could go down.

"So, once I get there, I just need to talk to Alya and ask her to delete the video."

He then landed on Alya's balcony and saw her cleaning off a camera and slowly opened the window.

He quietly made his way behind her and knocked on her dresser saying "Alya the ladyblogger."

She whipped around and saw leaning against her dresser.

"What are you doing here Silver Lupin? Come to carry out some of Hawk Moth's commands?!"

He laughed at her before responding "You'd think you would be smart enough to know that I don't want anything to do with that lunatic."

He stood up straight, walking towards her and said "No, Alya I'm here to talk to you." She reached inside her pocket and he said "I you think some dumb pepper spray or a taser are gonna take me down then you are way more stupid than I-"

She took out a whistle and blew into it.

Pain shot through him and he covered his ears, whining like an injured dog.

'My sensitive ears! Did she really buy a dog whistle?!' He thought once she stopped.

He backed up from her, stumbling as he did. He got ready to say something else but she beat him to the punch.

"I'll ask you again, what are yo yo doing here Lupin?!"

He struggled to respond, barely seeing the smirk on her face.

"Here's a better question, who are you under the mask?"

His eyes widened and he thought 'I can handle maybe two more rounds of that whistle, I need to get out of here before then!'

"No answer?"

He clutched his ears again, hearing the loudness of the whistle ring through his ears.

She stopped again and he quickly responded "I need you to delete the video!!!!" She stared at him and he said "The most recent one regarding me! It has footage of me changing back-"

She held up a finger and said "And why would I? If Ladybug and Cat Noir know who you are-"

He took his chance.

He ran up to her, aiming for the hand with the whistle.

.... She was faster.

He froze in his tracks, the sound enveloping his head. He fell to the floor, starting to black out. He saw her walking close, and with that, fell unconscious.
