Stormy Weather
"Uh, I should probably go back, my sister's are probably wondering where I am." I tell him, he instantly frowns, looking slightly angry once again.
"Fine." Is all he says.
What happened next was...weird. Black ink started surrounding the area, coming from above. It was like that one scene from Happy Potter when he was looking at Professor Dumbledore's memory bowl thingy, or whatever it was. (To everyone that is a Harry Potter fan...please don't murder me if I offend you in anyway, I'm sorry <3) Except this isn't Harry Potter...
I sit up quick, putting my hand on the wall...the wall? What the...
Oh hey, look at that, I'm home again. That's weird.
"Why hello there." I lean back, away from Summer as she freaking stares at me, "It's about time you woke up." She says.
"Yeah, sure, woke up..." I turn, feet dangling off the bed.
Summer rushes over to the desk and grabs a roll of duck tape, "Just don't forget my birthday party tonight!" She yells, stretching out the tape.
"I thought that was tomorrow!!! Do we still have time to run!?" I say while slowly getting up and walking towards the door.
"Oh, I'm not having the party here silly." She explains.
"Where is it then?" So I can stay far away from that place...
"I can't tell you, it will ruin the surprise!" She rolls the tape back up and sets it down on the desk once again.
"Great, I love surprises." I say sarcastically.
"Good, um...you can swim right?" She asks.
"Uh, yes...?" I answer her weird question.
"Good, then you'll be fine." She says, skipping out the door.
Summer is...special. Sure, we'll go with that. I rub my head and look around, was it a dream, or was it real? It had to be real, or at least I believe it was. All I knew for sure was that this was all messing with my head, and I don't exactly like that.
The sudden sound of rushing water pulled me out of my thoughts, water was gushing in from under the closed door, I look at it confused before going over to the door. Hesitantly, I grab the door knob and open it slightly, more water pouring in, enough to make me lose my balance and fall forward. Thankfully I didn't hit anything while I fell, the water apparently breaking my fall. Before I knew it, the room was only half filled with air, and that space of air was getting much shorter by the second. I took a deep breath before the water reached the ceiling. It was dark, everything I could see was moving further away from me, it was like the walls either moved or didn't even fucking exist anymore. With that logic in mind I swam up, and surprisingly, I surfaced. Looking around, it looked like I was in the middle of the ocean, no land to be seen. More importantly, no room or house to be seen either.
"Hey, you going to stay there and catch a cold or are you going to hop on board?" A voice suddenly yells from behind me.
I turn around in the water and look up, something I didn't notice before, somehow, was now there. A GOD DAMN FUCKING BOAT, and guess who was reaching down with his hand out to help me up? Sshadee, you're an asshole.
"Well that's rude." He says before I grab his hand.
The idiot pulls me up onto the boat and backs away, "What the fuck is going on!?"
Sshadee crosses his arms and leans on the wall of the boat, "Honestly, I thought you would be used to this by now." He shakes his head in disappointment.
"Who would I be used to this!?" I yell, throwing my arms in the air, "And how are YOU here!?" I put my arms down before pointing at him.
He shrugs, "I'm here, I'm there, I'm everywhere. Different timelines, different possibilities, which means different places I could be."
I stare at him confused, "What the hell are you even talking about?"
He does that stupid grin before pushing himself away from the wall of the boat, and coming over to me, "You won't understand, it's too complicated for your...simple mind." He quickly puts his pointer finger on my forehead.
I glare at him, "Stop that." I say before slapping his hand away.
He sighs and looks away, "Anyways. In a few minutes, a lot of people are going to go missing...you remember this book don't you?"
I look around, "Eh, water everywhere, people going missing, Summer asking me if I can swim...this, this is the third book, right?"
Sshadee looks back at me, "Good job dear, you actually figured it out!" He teased.
I glare at him once again, "I will slap you."
"Heh, go ahead." He pats my head.
I jump slightly at a loud rumble in the distance, thunder. Lightening flashes across the sky, the clouds going dark as the weather suddenly changes in an instant.
I look at Sshadee, he frowns and looks up at the sky, "Well this is new." He looks over into the distance where I now notice a large amount of land, part of it being a beach, "It must've already happened."
"What already happened?" I ask.
He looks at me like I asked a stupid question, "This is the third book, what do you think happened."
I guess I DID ask a stupid question.
Rain suddenly started pouring down from the sky, "Wait, so why am I here, what does any of this have to do with ME!?" I yell.
"You need to go down there." He says, not explaining anything or answering my question.
"Okay one, that doesn't answer my question, and two...where are you talking about?" I ask, going over to him.
"Down there." He points down at the water.
I look down for a moment before looking back up at him, "Are you crazy."
"Do you really want me to answer that?"
I blink slowly and stay silent for minute, "No, not really. So, how exactly am I going to get down there genius?"
He shrugs, "You'll figure it out."
What, no magical device that will magically get me down there? Fantastic.
"Alright, if I'm going to do this...I'm going to need some help." I cross my arms and look at him.
He looks around, "Sorry, are you talking to me?"
I sigh, "Can't you like...magically poof someone here for me?"
Sshadee looks at me unamused, "Magically......poof...?"
"Yes! I want you to use your weird magically poofing powers to magically make Summer appear, go!" I yell, glaring at him.
"I....okay." And just like that, he suddenly disappears, leaving me here alone.
