Expresso Martini

Sitting on the grey velvet couch, Love couldn't get acclimated to the vibe of a coffee shop. She order a cup of coffee, and looked around to find someone of her interest. Finding none, she thought of calling it a day off, so lying back waiting for the caffeine inflicted drink, closing her eyes to relax, she looked at the book rack on one wall of the coffee shop. Not to be the odd one out, as other people were either reading or meeting someone, she got up to get a book for herself. It had been years since she had indulged in a fictional world to take her mind of the sins that roam hers. So getting herself a big black book, with an apple on its cover, she started reading it. Getting romantically involved with a human was not much of a decent idea for Love, leave aside a blood lusty vampire. So diching the book back on the table, she decided to find another one, as dreaming about your first love get hunter by your bare hands wasn't a good option for her.

"I couldn't imagine someone like you read a little new adult fiction like that?" The grey sweatshirt guy said as he smiled the most charming smile.

"What do you mean?" Love raised an eyebrow.

"You," he pointed at her with an open hand, "Seem kickass with that whole black outfit look, don't seem like the one who'd be waiting for a prince charming," he said.

"Love," she introduced herself.

"At first sight?" the guy joked.

"Ha ha, funny, not." Love giggled.

"So shall I get you something?" He asked as he took the seat next to her.

"I've already ordered, but if you would like something?"

"I told you, you seem kickass," he shook his head.

The waitress got Love's order and took the guy's order, while he asked her to get it prepared quick.

"You don't look like a Latte person," he said, "More of an Expresso Martini person."

"Don't say that," Love said sipping her coffee, "Last time someone named a fancy cocktail, I had to kick some ass." Making him chuckle, Love smiled at him.

"There is your order," The waitress said placing the mug of coffee on the center table.

"You seem like an expresso well," Love said.

"You mean boring?" he asked as he sipped his cappuccino.

"That's what you think of it?" Love asked surprised.

"Kind of," he said winking at her.

Now, Love needed to see what was going on inside him. The way he talked was way to perfect, and such perfection doesn't come unsuspicious. So switched her mind reading on with the next blink of her eyes, but to her surprise, he was clear, too clear. No one is so clean of thoughts. Something was seriously wrong with this Epitome of Perfection. His good boy bad thing smile was way to infatuating, even for Love.

"So any plans of the day?" He asked smiling at the end of his question.

"Why?" Love asked.

"I have plans for us, and I guess you are in?" He said.

Smart, he was intimidating, Love thought. He knew how to play with his preys, if that is what he was doing, that is.

"Can I refuse?" She said trying to play her cards right.

"I don't think so." He chuckled.

Moving out of the coffee shop, he lead the way for her to his car. After unlocking his convertible he looked at Love to see her awestruck face, and to his satisfaction she had to do the little improvisation act.

"Cool ride," Love complimented.

"Wanna drive, that is if you know how to drive this?" He asked.

"I wish I could," Love lied.

"I thought so," the tall little arrogant Mr. Charming Smile said.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Love felt offended, "Keys," she said.

"This might be the last time you'd be driving," He said passing her the keys.

"What?" She asked.

"I'll take you to paradise, Love, Love" he said.

"Sure, Chucky boy," she said.

Driving the racer car, like no one would have ever done before, she drove through the city, following the GPS, he had set in the car system. Smiling at the thrill her driving gave him. Love expected a little fear on his face, but seeing none, as she parked the car at her destination, she was in a dilemma, again.

"That was..." he raised an eyebrow before looking at her and smiling, "Thrilling."

She knitted her eyebrows getting off the car, thinking of what the guy was made of. Anyone in the world would have been scared the shit out of himself after the ride they had, but this one was to calm, to patient, like the air before a storm.

"Let's go," he said offering her, his hand.

"Are we this close already?" She asked.

"You are with me, at my place, aren't we?" He asked winking the good boy smile.

"Whatever," she said before walking past him and entering the mansion's big wooden double door, making him chuckle.

Love was awestruck to see the inside of the mansion.

"I'll be back, make yourself comfortable," he said smiling at her before vanishing into one of the corridors of the mansion. Curiosity was taking the better of Love, and rater than sitting on the couch, she decided to go help herself see the paintings on the wall. All of them were a work of art. The paintings lead her way to one of the corridors. The hallway ended with entering the kitchen. The kitchen was a work of art, and raising her eyebrows admiring the beauty, she decided to go back to the lounge, but turning around something struck Love. A small wooden wall next to the huge double door refrigerator. Walking towards it, Love noticed the wall didn't seem like a wall. Knocking it, she noticed the hollow sound. There was no knob or handle to open it, and looking around she tried to solve the mystery of the door.

The wooden flooring cracked below her as she noticed someone was coming near the kitchen. Walking away from the wall, she caught a hold of the refrigerator, and opening it, she was just in time to put her head inside it.

"What are you doing here?" The blonde asked.

"Just...uhm..needed water,"

"Cold?" He asked.

"Yah, actually I was feeling hot," she said regretting to say the double meaning sentence right now.

"Yah, sure," he chuckled after smirking.

"So?" Love asked going around him with the bottle of beer in her hand, handing him one that she took out from the refrigerator.

"Let's sit," he said leading the way out of the kitchen for her.

The two of them walked towards the lounge again. Love noticed the main door had been locked as she noticed the blocking of light between the thin gap between the double door. She knew something was wrong with this house and guy.

"So tell me something about you?" he asked.

"Nothing much to say," she asked.

"I'm Adam," he said.

"Finally he introduces," she said.

"Has someone told you, you are beautiful, Love" he said and this time when he smiled, his smile was rather innocent and sweet. The arrogance and over confidence was gone, and this was a good change for a start.

"What has gotten into you?" Love asked.

"What do you mean?" He asked sipping his beer and gulping it down in one go.

"You are nervous?" Love asked reading his body language.

"Nervous, huh...what?" He said spilling the beer on his clothes.

"Oh, let me help you with that," Love offered.

"No, that's okay," he said trying to set it fine, but he ended up spilling more of it on himself.

"I should get a towel for you," Love offered.

As an embarrassed smile covered his face as his head was tucked down to the ground, while he held the back of his neck with his right hand, he said "Yes please."

"Right," Love smiled making him chuckle.

Walking down the aisle of the wooden hallway, she re-entered the kitchen and picking the white towel from the basket she wetted it in the sink, but something didn't let her go back to him. She couldn't hold back from thinking what was hidden behind the wall. Keeping the wet towel on the center kitchen top near the stove, she moved towards the wall. Knocking on different places she tried to find a way to open it. When nothing else worked, she hit her Louboutin on the skirting of the wooden wall in annoyance, and much to her surprise, for the first time in her life, annoyance got her a way. The wood half opened to reveal a rather dark hallway leading to the staircase that probably lead to the basement.

"You shouldn't have come here," she heard someone say behind her.

"Adam?" Love called out.

"He told you his name?" he smirked.

"He? Shoot, twins?" Love asked closing her eyes at the obvious realization.

"You aren't as dumb as the others, I like it," he said winking at her.

"Why the hell do you wink so much?" Love asked annoyed.

"Because it's charming," he said earning a giggle from Love.

"Peachy," she commented.

Closing the distance between them as he moved around the center table towards Love, he noticed the girl didn't flinch even a step. Trapping her between the dark hallway, the refrigerator and himself, he placed his hands in his pocket, as he looked into her eyes.

"I know who you are Alex," Love said giving him a one side smile.

"Adam spilled my name, didn't he?" he chuckled.

"Actually," she closed the remaining distance between them, "He didn't."

Tilting his head, he tried to find the lies in her eyes, finding none, he lingered his eyes on her body.

"You know a lot about me?" He asked.

"More than you think," she said.

Placing a hand on the small of her waist, pulling her closer to himself, he said "Well then, I can't let you go."

With one swift move, he turned her around, and placed a hand on her mouth. Lifting her in the air with his arm which held her from her waist right below the chest, he bent backwards and moved her to his left to see his steps while his other hand still covered her mouth, restraining her from screaming. Fetching the knife from the pocket of her jacket, as reaching the gun was a far fetched dream while he held her, she was about to take it out and stab him in his arm, right when she heard a voice.

"Don't do this to her," the voice said.

As Alex turned around, Love could see Adam standing on the entrance of the kitchen with his hands closed on his stomach.

"Not again champ," Alex said.

"Please Axel,"

"You can't dwell felling for everyone, okay?" He said.

"Ale..."

"Shut up," Alex yelled making Adam flinch.

Love could have tackled the giant in a minute, but then she would have never knew what was it that he did to people he got home. So keeping the knife on the slab, while Alex was upset with his brother, she decided to go with the flow. The best part of the whole thing was, Alex was clueless about the gun she had behind her back, right above the hip. The giant wasn't as smart as he thought he was, any insane person would have felt it when he picked her up in his arm on his chest.

Walking down the dark hallway, he took her to the basement. Love couldn't help but grumble about her Louboutin being dragged on the floor even when he picked her up, and she knew the condition of the shoes won't be the same after this.

"What?" Alex asked removing his hand on the last step.

"Mind my heels," she said.

"That isn't what you should be worried about," he said.

Putting her on the ground, grabbing her roughly by her arm, pulling her closer in his chest, he turned the light on.

Smirking at Love as she looked at him, he glared at her, and said, "Look around."

Turning back, Love couldn't believe the psychopath one could meet in an exquisite coffee shop. It was a torture room, and the person standing in front of her was insane. She had figured out his lust for blood and inflicting pain to others when he looked into her eyes in the kitchen earlier, but this was another level. The room was full of different types of knifes and iron chains, things one can't even imagine in their worst nightmares.

Pulling her to the chair, he made her sit on it, while he fetched a few chains and a lock.

"Alex?"

"Yes Love?"

"You aren't really clever," she said pointing the gun at him, while he turned his head to see her do that.

"Really, where'd you get it, Toy store?" He asked chuckling.

Shooting at his leg, she looked at him screaming in pain as he fell to the ground. Rising from the chair, she walked closer to him as with every step the heels made a clicking sound on the wooden flooring.

"I don't know, you tell me?" she asked.

"Bitch," he yelled.

"You yell a lot, and you're too arrogant, and that pride is the ice breaker, in short you're a dick, a small one, probably" she said walking around him now.

"Mind the tone miss," someone said behind her.

Looking behind her, she saw Adam standing there, only this time he had an all together different expression on his face, and an authority in his voice.

"Adam?"

"Better than him, I don't think I introduced myself in the coffee shop to you, I'm Asher," he said.

"Son of a bitch," she said looking to her side, "How many of you are here?" she whispered.

Looking in his eyes, Love could see nothing except what he was going to say next. She scrunched her nose when her mind reading failed like it did in the coffee shop before.

"Triplets," he said. "You shot my brother," he said still standing on the spot.

"He was about to hurt me," she said.

"Hurt? Darling, he was about to cut your skin into shreds and satisfy himself with the blood that would run down you're soft skin, following" he said tilting his head, eyeing her head to toe.

This time when she looked in his eyes, she could see him imaging it doing it to her, and that was scary, even for her.

"He's alive," she said.

"I can see that," he said before walking past Love, to his brother, and kissing him on his lips.

"Gross," Love said. "Don't you wish to take care of him first?" she asked.

"I will believe me, but someone needs to learn a lesson first, and Love you know who that someone is?"

"Me?" she asked rolling her eyes at him.

"No, him actually. He needs to practice how to take care of one, when elder brother gets one,"

"You're triplets,"

"I was the first born," he defended.

"Sure you were," she whispered.

And with that he attacked her with a knife making the gun fall to the ground. Restraining hi with her right arm, she tried to take hold of the other knife in the pocket of her jacket and as she grabbed it, she stabbed the other giant right in his heart, making him look at the knife in confusion.

"You should know who you're messing up with," she said before he collapsed on the wooden floor.

And with that, a wooden board hit the back of her head, looking behind her, Alex stood there holding the now broken wooden board in his hand. Throwing it away, he ran towards her, grabbing her waist between his neck and right arm, he lifted her up in the air, but before he could throw her on the floor, she turned the tables on him, but moving her right leg around his neck while in the air, and chocking him between the back of his knee while he collapse on his knees due to the shortage of air. Falling on the ground, Love didn't leave his neck, until she was sure he was dead.

Breathing heavily, she took a sigh of relief as she looked on the floor where the two soulless bodies lay. Well it isn't the two had a soul before. She looked at the gun which lay near the staircase. Removing the body that lay between her legs, she looked at the gun, now where two feet stood. Looking up she saw Adam, looking terrified to see his brothers dead. Tired from the vigorous activity, Love rose up to her full length, as she sway backwards due to the exertion.

"You killed them?" he said as his eyes became watery.

Love could see, rather feel the pain in his eyes when she looked at him.

"I had to Adam, they weren't nice people."

"You aren't nice, you killed," He said picking up the gun from the ground.

"Adam, give that to me," Love said.

Adam shook his head as his hands started shaking due to the overwhelming emotions he felt.

"Adam trust me you don't wanna do this," she said.

"Why'd you think so?" He asked.

"Because I see the innocence you have, you're pure" she said.

"Am I?" He asked.

And with that the shaking of hands stopped and he stood still as held the trigger tightly with his index finger now. He shifted his thoughts from the innocent ones to the real ones now. Love could see him imagining all the crazy shit his brothers thought of, that is obviously before they died. Love knew he could be tamed.

"Adam, you have good inside you, I see it in your eyes," she said as she moved closer to him.

"You know nothing about me," he whispered.

"Well now I know one thing for sure," she said raising her eyes from the ground to look into his evil ones.

"And that is?"

"You all are evil, stupid bastards," she said as she grabbed the gun between her two palms, such that Adam's hand was locked with the gun. When Adam realized it, in a spilt second he looked back with confusion, only to find Love smirking at him now. With another swift move she hit his wrist with the back of her elbow, palms still on the gun, which made him lose the gun in his hand. Dropping to the ground, with his wrist between his legs as he cried in pain, Love pointed the gun at his head.

"I really was thinking of letting you go Adam,"

"You can let me go, I won't come after you," he cried in pain, changing his tone from the evil one to the innocent one again. Love was acquainted to his little petty acts now, and ignoring it, she removed the lock on the gun.

"I would let you go, but you're a killer, you killed two of them, didn't you?" she asked.

Raising his eyes at her, he asked, "How do you know?"

"I know," she said raising her eyebrows before shooting him right in the middle on his forehead.

"Next time, I'm bringing in back-up," she whispered to herself looking at he three motionless bodies on the floor, taking a sigh of relief, exhausted.

Walking out of the house, as Love collected her knife from the kitchen, she clenched her hands with the wet towel which she had kept on the slab before. Cleaning her heels with the same, she made her way to her car which waited for her right outside the house.

Unlocking the her car with the keys which were kept on top of the roof, she texted the unknown number, "Thank You for the car," before driving off as the sun was setting in the horizon.
