Caipirinha

The perfect balance between tartness, sweetness and the alcohol:- Caipirinha

Amara woke up with a heavy head as she tried to recall what had happened last night. Supporting her head with her hand she tried to look around herself. A room. A white walled room, with wooden do over all around till the skirting behind the rocking chair as she looked in it's direction. Slowly getting conscious of her surroundings, feeling the soft mattress below her, realized she hadn't been in a room like this ever before. Then where was she?

As she tried to get of the bed, she noticed the shuffling footsteps outside the closed door to her right. The best she could think of, as the door opened was to closed her eyes and drop dead on the bed from her half raised state, rather than confronting the person who brought her here. So she did what she did. And as the door opened, the footsteps were heard. And next the mattress  to her side dropped down. She could feel the breath fanning her face as someone leaned on her. With a racing heart, she knew if she rose now, something bad could happen, so keeping her act right, she stayed right where she was, trying to control the epinephrine secretion in her body by calming herself, telling he it will all be over , and stopping herself in time from shaking to fear.

She heard a little laugh, as the person stepped back from the mattress. Not sure she should open her eyes, she decided to keep them close until she heard the door close. The footsteps retreated and the door shut bang right after that. So getting of the edge she felt happy to have  missed falling off, she rose from her lying position, soon realizing she stood on a mountain clift, after all.

"What do you think you are doing?" The guy with big muscular biceps said, as their eyes met.

Taking her eyes off his muscles, she could drool on any moment now, she tried to look away as soon as she looked into his blue ones.

"I...ahm," she tried to think of something but when she found none, she kept her eyes low, looking at the skirting.

"Alright, so you can change if you'd like to," he said pointing at the ironed clothes in his hand.

Amara looked at him, afraid to look into his eyes, keeping her eyes fixed at the clothes. The clothes reminded her of her current situation. She looked back at herself, only to find the black sling dress still on. She remembered. Bar. Beer. Dance. Stranger. Blue eyes. Bitch...

"You're the guy from the bar," she said.

"Yes," he said, like the accusing tone was a matter of pride.

"How dare you? I asked you to leave me alone." She stated jumping off the bed now.

"I clearly did," he said winking at her.

"The drink, you sent it, didn't you?" she asked earning a grin from him.

"With a note..." he said.

Closing her eyes to calm her nerves, she couldn't believe she acted so stupid. She could feel his eyes on her, as while she turned to look at him, she saw him checking her out, like he had done last night behind the bar, while she talked on the phone. And next she knew, she felt dizzy. Next she remembers is waking up here.

"You're..."

"Hot?" The guy interrupted her wrath.

"Creepy," she said as she snatched the clothes from his hands and locked the bathroom door behind her. As she started to change her slip dress she noticed the window without the grills in the bathroom. She put on the clothes next but before she could step back in the room, she heard a few whispers outside, like someone would do on a secret call.

"I'll be back in a few," she heard him say as the door was heard open and close right after that.

What is the first thing you try to do if you realize that you aren't where you should be? Run.

Amara tried to wear her heels from last night, now that she was wearing the well ironed track pants and top he had left her. Not quite fond of praying, she still hoped for the door to be unlocked, and much to her happiness, it was.

Steeping out of the room, she tried to tip toe her way down the stairs.

"Where do you think you are going?" She heard a voice behind her, and while she tried to run towards the backdoor to the end of the hallway, a hand crept in from behind her around her waist. Kicking and slapping she tried to get the guy off her, only to make him make her turn to him, while he lifted her up in the air.

"A little tip," he whispered in her ear, while she still struggle in his arms, up the stairs, "don't wear heels."

And with that she was dropped on the bed and before she could react, the door closed on her, locked.

"Carry a pepper spray next time," she heard someone say behind her.

She lost her breath as she turned around to see a young women sitting in the rocking chair behind her. Getting a hold on the flower vase situated on one of the tables beside her she maintained a defensive position as she looked at Love.

"I'm here to save you, so do you mind?" Love said as she approached her.

Without listening to another word, she attacked Love with the vase. Missing her just by an inch, Love took a step back, with another hand she caught hold of the vase and placed it down on the floor slowly with patience, not removing her eyes off Amara.

"I said I'm here to save you," Love repeated.

"Save me?" She asked in confusion.

"Yup, shall we?" Love asked pointing at the window to her left, signaling her to coming.

"I don't want to be saved?" Amara said.

"You're wel...what?"

"I don't want to be, you know, saved." Amara said.

"Why not?" Love asked, "Are you like brainwashed, or wait," Love said as she looked at her neck to find any marks. When she found none, she looked at Amara in shock.

"Seriously? I mean this is what I want, what any girl wants, a guy falling for you...keeping you safe with him, and cherishing you, loving you, and this is just getting started, I mean come on, I haven't even  fought the "let me go" fight with him."

Love was shocked to the core. The generation was going down the hill, or let's say the clift.

"Well Amara, sweety, he isn't human, I mean, you should probably sit down, here," she said as she pushed her shoulders asking her to sit on the side of the bed. Kneeing in front of her, she looked into her eyes as she was going to give her the shock of her life " He is an Alpha werewolf," she said closing one eye on the last word, expecting a scream or a shriek.

And next she heard was a shriek, of excitement. Amara clapped her hands in joy to hear the last word. As she did a little victory dance, Love tilted her head in confusion. What was the generation up with?

"What makes you so happy?" Love asked.

"Oh come on, like who doesn't wish to be where I am." Amara said.

"Ah...no one, possibly" Love guessed.

"Silly, all girls in school will envy me. A werewolf is in love with me, a strong werewolf, Alpha werewolf." she said.

Love rolled her eyes at her fantasies.

"Listen Amara, I'm sorry to break this to you, but he isn't in love with you," she said.

"I'm is mate, so he is bonded to me," Amara said.

"What novels do you read?" Love asked. Then deciding to take the higher road she said, "He isn't in love with you, he is gonna manipulate you, into doing what he wants, then he will turn you," she said.

"That better," she said, "Werewolves are strong."

"That's what you pick up from everything I bloody said?" Love asked.

And right then they heard the door get unlock. Love signaled Amara to stay quiet about her, as she stepped in the bathroom to hide.

"Why'd you scream?" The werewolf asked.

"I was scared...of...you," she said looking at him and then stealing glances to the bathroom door which was left open.

"Don't be scared of me love," he said as he started to caress her cheek.

Something inside Amara told her that things could go the way she dreamt of them to go. A loving werewolf alpha, two kids and she being the Luna of his pack. The guy slide his hand up her waist, pulling her close to himself, looking into her eyes, and looking at her lips, then back into her eyes, and back to her lips. And right when she was expecting a hot kiss, the guy grinned right before opening his mouth with his werewolf teeth, ready to bite her. But before any of it could happen, a copper vase hit his head, knocking him down, unconscious with Amara under him.

"He's heavy..." she sighed from under him.

"Of course he is." Love said as she pushed the guy off Amara and helped her up.

"Couldn't you have had waited for any minute longer?" Amara said.
"Really? You're welcome," Love sighed.

"Whatever," said Amara.

"Shall we?" Love said as she pointed at the window behind her.

But before she could reply to that, the werewolf army came inside the room through the open door.

"At least you could have closed the door before knocking him down," Amara commented.

Love gave her a death glare. The girl had some balls to order her around like that. Love looked at the last guy that entered the room.

"Love, we've heard a lot about you," the six inch guy said as he smiled the bad boy smile.

"I'm sure it's all good," Love said.

"Ah wonderful work," he said as he kissed the top of his fingers in a manner the Italians do when the dish is too delicious, " But that right there is my brother, our alpha." Love looked into his eyes as he talked to her, extracting the little information from the strong beta's mind which did include his name, Michael.

"I'm dead, aren't I?" Amara asked as she broke into tears.

"With her?" Michael asked as he pointed at Love, "Sadly you are."

"Not so much," Love said as she pressed the little button on the side of her Z-watch, which was recently modified to add compressed nitrous oxide to it. And that was released now.

The forest soon heard the laugh of the whole house, under the influence of the laughing gas they held their stomachs in their hands, while Love and Amara walked right through them down the stairs, and then amid the dense midnight fog the guards couldn't see them. The escape was too easy, Love thought.

----------------------------------------------

Silence was observed in the car, as Love drove and Amara looked outside the window. Amara looked at Love as she noticed her stealing glances at her. And right then Love felt the fear she felt, as she looked into her eyes.

"What happened?" Love asked so as to not creep her out.

"Nothing, just..."

"Say it." Love ordered.

"It's just, what if they find me?" she asked.

"Point, but that'll happen if they remember you." Love said as she smiled at the last word.

"What does that mean?" Amara asked irritated.

"Think," she said as she raised her eyebrows at her.

After a minute silence, Amara realized the gas was the culprit here.

"Smart." Amara said as she looked at the road in front of her.

-------------------------------------------

"So still fantasize the werewolf boyfriend?" Love asked as she stepped out of the car in front of Amara's house.

"Not a chance," she giggled as she took a sigh of relief.

"Take care of yourself," Love said as she looked into her eyes.

"I will, you too... save the world while you can," she said with a faint smile. Smiling back at her Love registered her words in her head.

Amara moved inside her house and waved one last time before going inside, while Love sat in the driver's seat as she stepped on the accelerator after waving one last time at her.

'While you can,' Love thought to herself of how this one statement had different aspects all together. What will happen of her when she can't do what she does. What then?
