The Ravenclaw
Chapter Ten: The Ravenclaw
Last Chapter:
"Good Evening to all. Before we start the feast, there is a special announcement I must make..."

Cancelling Quidditch was one thing. Introducing a Tournament where people who enter could die was another matter on its own.
'Having my luck, somehow I'm going to be entered into it.' Harry thought bitterly and he sat down for breakfast in the Great Hall.
Not that it would be a problem. While Salazar had not have been the evil, dark wizard, he still knew a large amount of magic. Most of this magic however, was either banned or forgotten 1000 years later. He doubted anyone would find his black magic rituals helpful. They would just chuck him straight into Azkaban, Boy-Who-Lived or not.
Harry looked up just in time to see Hermione enter the Hall. That was another thing. He was avoiding Hermione and it seemed like she didn't seem to mind, seeing as she hadn't said anything about it. Ron was oblivious as ever, munching on his food- mouth open, how disgusting- and blabbering on about how Quidditch being cancelled was the worst thing that had happened to date.
'Yeah, who can forget Quirrel and the Basilisk, or the Dementors?' He thought sarcastically.
Harry cleared his throat. Ron immediately stopped talking.
"Actually Ron, I have some business to take care of. If you'll excuse me..."
Hermione was getting closer. He wasn't ready for this conversation. Not now.
'Ah,' A nasty little voice in his head whispered. 'You'll never be ready. You never had been.'
No. Please not now. Not in the Great Hall.
"Harry?" He spun to face the voice. To his immense relief, it was Ginny. "It's her isn't it?"
Before he could respond, another female voice spoke to him. "Harry."
Hermione.
Except she wasn't. She was the friend that he and the others had decided to build the school together with.
Burning, endless flames, screams tore through the sky, ripping apart the heavens.
She met him on the Hogwarts Express, helping Neville find his toad. As helpful as ever.

"I'd like to speak to you." Why did she want to talk to him? Why? WHY now? Where was she when-
"Harry please." He looked into his friend's- burningendlessburning- brown eyes. He swallowed the lump in his throat.
"Sure."
He had never been as unsure as anything in his life. As he left the Great Hall behind Hermione, he turned to see some people looking at him in confusion and 2 with concern.
Ginny and Draco.
Helga and Godric.
He didn't know anymore.

Harry (Salazar- which was he anymore) wiped his sweaty hands on his uniform. In front of him stood Hermione- Rowena- as intelligent and logical as she had over a 1000 years ago.
"Harry-no-" She cut herself off.
'Don't say it, don't confirm what we both already know, please Hermione, Rowena please.'
"Salazar." He looked her in the eyes.
"Miss Ravenclaw." She hasn't been Rowena to him, not for a while.
Sal, I think they're like us.
What do you mean like us, Row? We haven't found any since-
I saw fire come out of the red boy's hands.
Where had his little companion gone? His best friend?
Helga had cornered him one afternoon when he was walking back to his chambers.
They had always been close. Some say too close.
What is she to you?
A smile.
The younger sister I never had.
Rowena had been the one to figure out that Godric and Helga had possessed magic.
Big Brother, trust me. I saw them do it.
What had happened to her?
Trust me.
He did. And look where it got him.
"Are Helga and Godric here?"
"Yes. They are." He didn't elaborate. He didn't need to.
He watched as the wheels in her head turned, trying to spot two individuals who had been acting strangely since the beginning of term.
"Ginny..." She trailed off.
She frowned as she tried to figure out who else fit the description. After a few more moments of silence, he answered the unspoken question.
"Draco."
She blinked, shocked. "Ginny makes sense considering her helping you just now in the Great Hall, but Draco?"
Stop. Don't criticize him when you aren't much better. Don't you remember? You let me-
"I suppose he had been acting strangely these past few days." She paused and took a deep breath.
"I'd like to apologize."
He stiffened.
"What we did was nothing short of cruel. I'm sorry."
Salazar smiled bitterly. "What use it is apologizing now? Besides, in the end it was you who did the most damage."
Forever burning. The sky turned red and his skin boiled.
"You watched me burn."
She remained silent as he swept past her, back to his common room. The Gryffindor common room. He'd always found comfort in it's founder after all.

Harry and Ginny sat at the Gryffindor table, Hermione beside the redhead.
"It's funny how we three of us ended up in the same house." The conversation was muted to everyone else in hearing range. Rowena always had a few handy spells up her sleeve.
"I also find it funny how Godric ended in Salazar's house." At this, both female founders turned to look at him.
"What?" He said at the looks. "I'm in his house so it's all even."
Rowena shook her head and mumbled something about oblivious wizards while Helga smiled at him. Suddenly, a shadow appeared overhead and the three turned around to see Godric standing there. He was mouthing something.
"One second." Rowena removed the spell.
"I see." Godric looked over to Rowena. "It makes sense that Granger would be-"
"Would be what Malfoy?" The Slytherin's presence hadn't gone unnoticed as Ron pointed his wand at him. Godric paused.
"Never mind." His eyes swept over them, a silent message to them all.
We'll talk later.
When the trio left the Great Hall they were pulled around a corner. Knowing who it was, they didn't resist and followed the blonde into an empty classroom. Helga sat down on a desk while Rowena locked the door with an older and more secure version of a mixture of Colloportus and Muffliato. Godric stood beside Rowena while Salazar leaned back against a chair. All four founder looked at each other, unbelievingly. They were finally together at Hogwarts.
