Zane's pov

We all groaned as we heard Travis' loud alarm go off in the morning.

"Travis why must you make us go to school....." I said hitting my head off of his chest.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh," Is how he responded.

We all got ready before heading off to school. After today we would start studying for exams and begin our external eagle screeching.

Vylad had brought the journal.which even though damaged I still stole and wrote in.

Apparently Zane is only allowed to.have nice things for 24 hours because life isn't very kind right now. I tripped on my face the moment I got to school. Fell asleep in class. But get this. Out of all people who.cpukd have woke me up. Travis woke me up. Then he made the worst pick up line in history, 'Wow looks like this is a role reversal. Guess that means you're the top.' so I slapped him in the middle of class and got sent to the principals office. Who tried to call him but got no answer so he let me off with a warning. So Travis got salty that I hit him (despite him deserving it) and is now right in front of me pretending I don't exist. Screw you Travis.}

"Ok I'm sorry Travis."
"Does anyone else here that whispering. It's like it's coming from no where."
"Travis, I hate you."
"Wow it's very angry too."
"If you don't stop I will kiss you. Right here in front of everyone."
"You wouldn't."
I started to stand up but Travis started to acknowledge my existence and sat down.

Rumours are the last thing Travis wants more of.

"You two are so odd," Aphmau sighed eating a sandwich. Travis' mom made us all lunch.
"Blah," I stuck my tongue out at her.

After lunch had ended I had gym. We had to run laps and guess who scared another teacher because they started wheezing like they couldn't breath. This guy. Well I couldn't breath so he had the right to be worried but I'm all fine now.

To top my day off I tripped and fell in a puddle of someone's dumped orange soda outside and then had to go back to the house.

I sighed as I stepped out of the closet in the turtle neck Travis gave me. I started studying Vylad helped me until 5 o'clock when he had to go help Dante.
Garroth was no help considering he's good at the subjects I'm good at and bad at explaining things. Aphmau was a ball of angry sugar so I didn't bother her.

Hours passed until I have up around the time people would have super. A knock came to our door.

"Yes," aphmau responded.
"Mac and cheese is on the table if you guys want any."

Vylad came back about 15 minutes ago so it was perfect timing. We all went out and ate some Mac and cheese. Including the witch. Well until she got a phone call that is.

Travis' Pov

I ate supper with my mom. Pizza- my favourite.

She suddenly got a phone call though.

"Work why are they calling this late?"
She got up from the table and walked away to answer it.

I just continued eating until she came back.

"I have to head out sweet heart, make sure the doors are locked and I want you asleep by the time I get back."
"Alright mom"

With that she left I finished up eating and put my plate in the sink.

I took out my phone and proceeded to call my main man Laurence.

"Yello."
"Hey."
"Whatcha doin?"
"Studying why?"
"No reason my mom just had to go out to work so I'm left here all alone."
"Sounds Fun."
"Oh definitely," I hauled my books out of my bag.
"So how do you think you're going to do on exams?"
"Don't know yet. All I know is I have to get over a 70 in socials if I want to pass."
"I still don't get how you're doing bad in that class."
"I spend a majority time sleeping because it's right in the morning for me."
"Oh that's right. So how're things with emoson aka Zane."
"Pretty good. I mean after he taunted me with kissing me in front of everyone I saw him in the bathroom and kissed him there."
"Spicy~ are you actually going to ask him out anytime soon though?"
"On a date yes. I have a plan to go to his house tomorrow and take him on the best date he's ever been on!"
"I don't think he's ever been on a date."
"Oh well then I get the honour of being his first."
"Isn't this your first date."
"Actually-"
"Dante doesn't count because if it weren't for Zane and vyald you two would marry each other."
"Ok then yes."
"Good luck with that then."
"So how're things with King mcPerfect."
"Great, he promised to stop by tomorrow. But I did want to punch a wall today though because a hot girl asked him out on a date while I was right in front of him."
"Well what did he say?!"
"No thanks I'm in a relationship."
"Oh good-"
"No not good Travis! We never stated if we are dating or not so either he has another person and I'm just his side chick or He wants to be my boyfriend. Or even Wilder we are dating and my memory was erased of it."
"Ok I doubt your his 'side chick' Laurence. That man is head over heals for you."
"But how can you be surrrreeeee."
"Listen I could call them right now and literally even if the witch Answered say 'does garroth love laurence' and they'd reply yes."
"You always know just what to say."
"My mom's a social worker ive seen her deal with many screaming children."
"I'm older then you."
"By a year."
"Don't disrespect your father."
"It's sad because you basically are my dad."
"I just thought of a joke."
"Bad joke?"
"Very bad."
"How do you think Dante and vyald are doing."
"Don't know I'mma call Dante from my house phone. One sec I'll put you on speaker."
"Gotcha."

I heard the dial tone of laurence's house phone until I heard dantes voice pick up.

"H-hello?"
"Hey stutter McGee how's your and vylads relationship?"
"Wait since when did I tell you we're dating."
"I was actually just asking in general but hey answers my question."
"Oh my Irene you, but for your information it's pretty great."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"Dante stop talking on the phone and pay attention to your sad smart boyfriend," I heard gene say.
"Why is the small child sad!" I yelled.
"Oh hey Travis and he's just over exaggerating. Gene is pissy because a 9th grader is smarter then him."
"Am not."
"Are too."
"Am not."
"Are too."
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"AM NOT!"
"ARE TOO!"
"I hate you both," Vyald groaned.
"Alright well I'm gonna go because I think we're slowly physically hurting Vylad with our stupidity."
"See ya!"
"Bye!"

I heard laurnece hang up as he took me off speaker.

"Well that answers our question," He said.
"I just feel bad for Dante a little because once he gets a growth spurt he's probably going to be hotter then Dante."
"I'm telling on you."
"Laurence y."
"Blaaahhhhh. Also why do you say that."
"I mean look at his brother damn."
"I know right. Zane's still a pip squeak though."
"So am I."
"Unlike garroth though wow."
"I would agree but you'll crawl through the phone and yell he's mine in my face."
"I would do that."
"I know you too well."
"Exactly."
"Well talk to you later Travis I'm going to continue studying."
"See ya."

Laurence's pov

No I wasn't going to continue studying. I was going to one up Travis. So about a half an hour later I was on my way to garroths house.

I looked through the window... He was brushing aphmaus hair while she painted Zane's nails and vylad sat there reading allowed.

"Knockity knockity~" I cooed as I opened the window.
"Oh hey Laurence," Garroth smiled.
"Hey!"
"Hi."
"Hello."
"What are you guys doing?"
"Sibling bonding."
"And Zane let aphamu paint his nails?"
"Yep! Every time we do something like this I paint my brothers nails," she smiled, "I'm still trying to convince Katelyn to let me do hers.."
"Wait you're friends with Katelyn?"
"Oh yeah we hang our sometimes during our free period."
"So you paint everyone's nails?" I asked another question. I'm full of em today aren't I?
"Yeah, see garroth has royal blue, vyald has green and Zane's getting dark purple and I get light purple! I got the nail polish for my birthday this year."
"So are garroths done?"
"Oh yes," He said showing them off to me.
"Beautiful! Well anyways I came here to kidnap garroth and take him out."
"Oh no someone's stealing the king!" Vyald gasped.
"But wait," aphmau said.
"He's actually in distress!" Zane said.
"His Noble night has come to save him," Vyald smiled.
"Now he's carrying his prince away from the witch bridal style." Aphmau used jazz hands.

I couldn't ignore the jazz hands so I started picking him up bridal style. He was surprisingly light. Or I'm just strong.

"Work it queen!" Vylad chuckled.
"Be free!" Zane laughed.
"Wait isn't that Travis' turtle neck?" I asked as we all turned to Zane.
"Yes and it's mine now."
"Oh ok, well we're off now!" I said running to the window.
"Can I at least grab a coat!"
"Noooo!"
"Ah!"

I let him down on the fire escape. We climbed down and I took his hand until we got out of the alley way.

"We're you taking me?"
"Somewhere magical."
"Which is?"
"The ice cream parlour."

Once we got there I payed for some ice cream and a milkshake, so we sat down at a booth in the back.

Not many people were there considering it was getting dark. It was just the workers.

"Can I get you two anything else?" A girl asked us.
"No thanks," I responded.
"Ok," She said with a smile before skipping off to serve literally the only other person in here.

I laughed a little as Garroth told me a joke about the punch line.

"That was the worst pun in the world," I laughed.
"Which makes it the best."
"Haha."

I smiled at him as laid my hand on his and rubbed it a little with my finger. He gripped my hand back. I got a text from Cadenza asking where I was so I sent her a picture of garroth.

I looked back up at Garroth who smiled. I looked around no one was looking at us and no one could really see us either. I leaned over the table and gently pressed my lips on his as he sealed gap. It didn't last too long. No longer then 5 seconds. When we pulled back and sat down I looked to my side to see the waitress standing there.

"I'll take this," She said taking the empty milk shake glass and walking away.

Garroth covered his rosey red face with his hands as I laughed a little at him. I stood up and took his hand so we could leave.

The girl smiled at us and said, "have a nice night you two!" As we left.
"You too," I smiled back.

I took garroth on a walk through the park. We heard a rustle in the leaves and he clinged to me. I don't think he would admit it. But I don't think he liked walking through the dark all too much. It must have been different with everyone there but now it was just us.
I took his hand to tell him he's alright.

I planted kisses on his cheek often before finally bringing him home.

"I had fun tonight," he said.
"Me too," I smiled back.

As I held his hand his back fell against the wall. I leaned in to kiss Garroth, he cut me off half way with his own strawberry tasting lips. I pushed him back further into the wall if that was even possible, deepening the kiss. I ran one of my hands though his hair while the other held his hand. His free arm wrapped around my waste.
I smiled as I pulled back.

"Have a nice night Garroth, I'll see you later," I said stepping back.
"You too Laurence."

With that I skipped home smiling.
