Zane's pov

Today was the day. I had all my clothes packed and we were sitting in the living room.

"So Zane, sense you're leaving..." Garroth started.
"Yeah?"
"We wanted you to keep this," He said putting the Notebook in my lap.
"Wait really?"
"Yeah it'll be a good way to remember us," Aphmau smiled.
"We put some goodbye notes at the end," Vylad pointed out.

I opened the book and flicked through the pages of messy writing and sketches until I got to the last pages which were surprisingly a lot more neat then the others.

"When did you guys do this?" I asked.
"While you were asleep last night."
"Oh."

I started reading the entries out loud.

{Aphmau,

  Zane when you first arrived you scared me to death with your dark clothes and mean approach to life. I was happy when you finally opened up to me because you're the best emo mcnugget of a brother I could ask for. I hope everything works out well with your dad and new mom. Vissiiitttt ussssssss or I will riot. I know where you live. Thank you for letting me paint your nails and do your hair and dress you up sense I never had anyone else to do that with. Not alone buddies for ever :3}

{Vylad :P,

I am the luckiest person alive to have been able to meet my other big brother! With out you I would have never been able to unlock what true gift of knowledge I had in my brain and wouldn't be the same person I am today. You always tried your best to be kind with me, which is all I could ask for. Even if you've threatened my boyfriend I know you're just a giant sweet heart with your 100% manly TV shows. Aphmau ratted on you btw. Love you big bro and please please please tell them your lactose intolerant or else that'll end badly! Loves you}

Zane you are the weirdest person I have ever met. Ever since I met you though I knew I had to protect you. After all you're my brother. Even if dad only came for you I don't blame him you're a great kid under all the angst. Ok but seriously though I'm at a loss for words at how much I'll miss you. Don't forget to visit and when school starts again we'll be at the same table we've always been. The perfect four, nothing will ever change that you are my brother Zane. Like vyald said earlier though plz tell them you can't have dairy. Like please. Good luck with everything xo -garroth}

"You guys are going to make me cry and that isn't something y'all want to see," I said wiping my eyes.
"Too late I'm crying," Aphmau sobbed.
"Now I'm gonna cry and that isn't pretty either!" Vylad whined.
"You guys please you're going to make me cry and I sound like a drunk British lady when I cry!" Garroth complained.

I laughed at them, so much that they ended up laughing too.

We all sat in the silence until the dreaded buzz came to the door. Mrs. Ivy Answered.

"Alright are you ready to go Zane?" Garte asked.
"Yeah...," I stood up everyone else did too to give me a hug.

Aphmau was still crying as I hugged her.

"Shhhh I'm not even going that far I'll visit don't worry," I calmed her.

After I hugged her Vylad jumped into my arms and I squished him back.

"Do you have to go big brother?" He whispered.

I didn't answer.

Then came garroth. I never hugged garroth really before. We just have this sort of comforting pat.

"Pat pat," He said patting my head.
"Pat pat," I said patting his shoulder before hugging him so hard I think I broke him.
"Visit ok?"
"I will."

  I turned picking up my bag. I had to run back over to the couch to grab the book.

"You ready to go?" Zianna asked me.

I didn't respond at first.

I looked at the book, looked at them, looked back at the others and then back at the book and them.

"Yeah."

Garroths pov

"I can't believe he's really gone..." Vyald said.
"We're talking like we're never going to see him again," I chuckled trying to lighten the mood. We still stood near the doorway.
"It may be a while before we ever see him again though," aphmau sighed finally wiping her tears away.
"Its never doing to be the same..."

Our sad conversation was interrupted by a crash coming from our room and a door slamming open. I shoved my younger siblings behind me as it must have been someone braking in.

"I couldn't do it!"
"Zane!" I yelled.
"I couldn't do it I couldn't do it," he started walking forward moving his hands like a crazy person. "I got in the car was all set to go but I couldn't do it I left the car ran to the alley way up the thingy through the window and oh my irene I'm a horrible person. They probably think I'm dead now or something why did I do that Omi I'm going to have a panic attack I'll have to live in Travis' closet for the rest of my life there's no way they'd want me as their kid now-"
"Breath Zane. Breath," I said putting my hand on his shoulder.
He took deep breaths.
"Ok now that you've calmed down WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!"
"Does it look like I know! Oh my irene I'm such a bad person! What have I done or did I make the right decision I don't knooooowwwwww!"
"Why are we screaming!" Vylad yelled.
"Because I shouldn't be here!"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
"And Honestly what was I thinking."
"Yeah what the were you thinking!"
"Actually this wouldn't have happened if you never gave me the book!"
"Oh please what does that have to with anything!"

Our arguing just turned into a giant mess.

"Like really!? Oh my Irene? Who gave you the right! You're older but you don't act like it! Don't bring him into this! Ugh! Blah! Why! Ahhh! Shut up! You shut up! Wahhhhhh!"

We were basically the only noise that was able to be heard at the moment.

"Zane!" We heard the loud voice of Garte Ro'meave.
We all stopped dead in our tracks.
"Zane you can't do that we didn't know where you went," Zianna said worried.
"Zianna. Dad." Zane said before letting out a big breath of air, "You two have offered me everything I dreamed of. Getting away from this place. But now that it's coming true I just can't leave everyone else."
"What are you saying?"
"I'm not going with you. You can force me into that car all the way to your house but I will find a way here Everytime. I will escape every time and when I do I'll come right on back to these people because they are my family. The only people that have ever been there for me. The best things that ever happened to me are because of them. So when I finally get to leave this hell, it's going to be with the rest of these people."
"Zane."
"It's the four of us or none of us that's the way it's always been. No one can change that. Not you. Not my Dad. No king nor emperor. No one."

  Zianna and Garte turned to whisper as I looked down at my brother. I gave him a high five.

They were talking for a solid twenty minutes before turning to us.

"Zane from what you've said my wife and I have decided that you really won't leave here without the rest of these people. You really do care for everyone here."
I could tell Zane was about to say something probably on the lines of 'thats right' but was cut off by Garte.
"-which is why I have to side with what my wife wanted since she met you all........"
"Which is what?" Zane questioned.
"Well like you said it's the four of you or none of you so we think that first option is better," Zianna smiled.
"Wait what?" Aphmau yelled.
"I mean it is going to take some.more paper work and an extra week for us to come and get you guys but we decided to adopt you all."
"Garroth slap me I must be dreaming!" Vyald yelled.
"I'm too happy to stand," Aphmau said falling on the floor.
"You can finally watch the drag queens in HD aphmau," Garroth laughed.
"Priorities garroth!" Zane said.
"Ok well sense garroth is being stupid I would like to thank every thing for the blessing that is these people and Zane for convincing them by jumping through a window and giving a speech." Vyald said.
"I would like to thank the academy for nothing," Garroth blessed.

We all just started making comments like that.

"Well Zane uh we actually are scheduled to pick you up today so yeah we actually do have to take you and then come back for everyone else once the paperwork is done with," Zianna said.
"Oh well that's fine be me."
"What about the four of us or none of us?"
"Well you see it's still the four of us.... We're just going at a slightly different time. So if you need me I'm going to get comfy. Call my boyfriend- I mean friend that is a boy and you know wait for you people."
"Well Zane see you in around a week," Vyald shrugged.
"See you guys!"
"If you would excuse us now though we're going to scream in excitement!" Aphmau yelled.

Zane left and we all started happy yelling.

"I gotta go tell Laurence."
"I gotta go tell Dante."
"I gotta tell no one because I'm single!"
"Come tell laurenece's sister you two will get along great as friends."
"Ok," Aph shrugged.
