I wish you guys could experience flying in the dead silence of the night surrounded with wilderness for miles and nobody to tell you what to do. No curfews, no parents bugging you, no school! Sounds like a dream come true to me!

As I flew, I saw a small cave with a stack of rocks and twigs waiting for a fire to be made. I circled toward the twigs and decided I needed some company.

I was finally cuddled up against a wall, fire blazing, just like I had imagined back at The School. I closed my eyes, trying to remember a distant memory of one of my friends from The School, who eventually died of hunger. I remember her holding my hand, telling me everything would be ok and that she would live. As I remembered those days, a thick mist flowed around me. It began to take form and within another ten seconds, she was standing there, looking down at me. Her red and blue spekled wings were tucked in close and her blonde hair hung at her shoulders. She was still dressed in the clothes from The School and she smiled at me, her blue eyes beaming.

"Hey Amy!! Long time no see?" She sat down next to me, wrapping an arm around my shoulders. Trinity had died at age 14, they same age as Max. I had considered her as a sister and I still do.

"Trinity, do you remember the other kids that were with us? The other avian hybrids?"

"Yeah. They were sweet, especially the six-year-old." A smile began to form on her face.

"The oldest girl is my sister. And Jeb is my father." I watched as her face filled with shock. She hugged me tighter, making me feel more comfortable with sharing more with her.

"And the bling guy, Iggy, helped fix my ankle and wing. And I'm just scared! I think the little one can read my mind! And if they find out what I can do they might give back to the Erasers! And when that happens, there will be needles and chemicals and-"

"Ssshhh. It's ok! Let's go to sleep, ok? No use worrying about it now." She began to sleep against my shoulder, and I rested my head on hers. We slept the entire night peacefully. But that's gonna end soon.
