Let's start off at the beginning. Seems like a reasonable place. I was running down grey hallways only lit by red lights, alerting a lockdown of the facility. My lungs were working harder than they did in the mazes (more on that later) and I was being followed by Erasers. Yep, you heard that right; Erasers, half human, half wolf hybrids. Their sickeningly-sweet voices called out to me, inviting me back to my cage, the smallest cage at The School. As I brushed past other cages filled with unexplainable but saddening "experiments" until I saw a light, a street light.

I ran faster and faster toward what might be my only chance of escape. I burst through the white door only to find a small outdoor arena, used for the erasers to hunt their prey.

"Well well. Fancy meeting you here, Amy." An eraser stalked out the door followed by five other erasers and a few white coats, one holding my cage, door open.

"Can't say the same for you, Jax." The Eraser strutted toward me, smiling at my weakened form.

"Up for another "scrimmage?" His claw slashed at the side of my face, tearing a few inches into my cheek.

"You bet. And maybe this time you'll learn." I roundhouse kicked him in his chest and flicked my red and white speckled wings out, racing toward a corner in the arena. I frantically dug into my hole, which I had done previously in hopes of escaping. I proceeded to scream for help, like a wimp.

"No use in that. How about you just join us back inside, or things might get worse for you." Jax grabbed my ankle, dragging me back to my cage. I heard a sickening pop and I winced.

"When will you learn?!" I tried desperately to scramble away from him, grabbing the fence for help. I was greeted with a friendly shock, burning my hands slightly. And here's where things went uphill.

Suddenly, a loud ringing filled my hearing, making me grab my ears to block the noise, which didn't work. Jax also fell, grasping his ears as did the other erasers. Within a few seconds, I had recovered and raced for the newly made hole in the roof, which I guessed was related to the loud ringing. As I began to fly towards the hole, six shadows greeted my vision. And they all had wings like me.

The first shadow dove down towards the Erasers, landing a direct hit towards Jax's face. Two other shadows blew past me, attacking the scientists and other Erasers. I didn't dare go back down to help, but instead raced out of the hole, where I was greeted with three more shadows. The two smaller shadows grabbed my wrists, making me shriek in surprise. My shriek alerted the other shadows down below, who instantly flew up and carried me off to who knows where.

"Hey!! Let me go!!" The two shadows gripped me stronger. As I looked at them, I noticed one had dirty blonde hair and the other had blonde curls. The one with blonde curls had wings that were white while the other had yellow and brown colored wings. The larger shadow that flew in front of me had strawberry colored hair while the one next to him had brown colored hair. The strawberry haired teen's wings were also white, outlined with black while the other shadow's wings were dark brown. In front of them, I could see a pair of brown, black, and white wings in front of a pair of black wings.

*It's ok. You don't have to worry! We're taking you somewhere safe!* a voice called out inside my head. It sounded like a young girl's, maybe around seven. It almost made me calm down. Almost.

"Argh!" I flicked my wings out, catching an updraft allowing me to escape the grasps of the shadows. Slowly but steadily, I began to fly the opposite way.

"Hey kid, wait." A strong voice commanded me. I turned around to see the girl I saw at the front, with dirty blonde hair and jeans accompanied with a black jacket. "You didn't thank us."

"Hey, it's been rather nice knowing you guys but I think I'd rather head out now. So if you'll just exc-" a loud bang filled my hearing and before you could say "Johnny Depp-it," I was diving head first toward the ground.
