I woke up at the man's home. I think I passed out. Not once have I passed out in Tamchi. In Tamchi if you pass out, you are more likely to get robbed or killed. Merl is right next to me. Nothing bad could possibly happen when Merl is next to me. Most people are scared of the wolf-dog because he looks more wolf than dog. Mother got him for me when I was younger. She told me that, "If I protect Merl, Merl will protect me. So defend him with your life."

"Hello, are you up?" John enters the room with two very little children. They look exactly like John. "This is Minerva and Ella."

"Hello Minerva and Ella. My name is Adelina and this here is Merl." Their mom comes in and delivers me a meal. I was surprised to even get a meal.

"I can't believe you are up! You came into the house and just wiped out. When was the last time you had food?" I sigh. I haven't had food since I left Wolfe.

"A couple days." I eat the meal very careful not to leave a trace of crumbs. I manage to stand up and grab the one bag I have. I didn't understand how heavy it got.

"We placed some bread, apples, and water in your bag," said Minerva and Ella." I thank them and head back to the train station. People like them need the money to survive in this world. The King won't give them the money they need. He is too worried about the court and nobles respect. Not many paupers respect him in that sense. Even I am surprised a revolution hasn't broke out.

The train makes it to Ekland in a couple of days. Merl and I made it to the capital. Now all that is left is to get into the King's brothel. That way I can get up personal with the King and murder him when he doesn't expect it. People wave to me as I walk up the market stalls. Many of them wolf whistle as I work by. They just think I am another attractive girl looking to get in their beds. Truth be I would rather not get into their beds at all. Who knows who has been in their bed lately?

I buy a couple pounds of meat for Merl. Merl seems to enjoy taking meat from stalls in general.

"Merl behave! Don't steal their meat!" I don't like yelling at Merl, but sometimes he needs it to reassure himself. Merl bends his ears back and continues to stay by my side. "Sir, do you know where the King's brothel is. I have no idea where anything is in Ekland. This is my first time visiting Ekland."

"Ah you are one of those are you now. Just go down the main road and take a left by the gate. You should arrive at the castle soon enough. Have fun with the king." The man tells me. I follow his directions and manage to make it there in a couple minutes. Only one person got hurt from Merl. The males won't mess with me again though. That is a good thing. I enter the beautiful brothel. Many would see this as a mistake to me. I am young and dumb as the people spit their words at me.

"Hello, my name is Cherry. What brings you here?" Cherry walks up to me. Her body's curves are expertly displayed for the king.

"I would like to work here."

"Here? Aren't there other places more suited to you?" Cherry looks down on me. Now I know who to kill to threaten the king's reputation as the good guy. Kill off some of the nobles close to him, and you succeed in getting in his head.

"I am absolutely certain." I place a seductive smile on my lips.

"Well I can see what I will do. Although, the maids may be in need of new blood. Would you be fine working with them?"

"Definitely. That's just perfect." Don't let them damn nobles push you around though. I walk to the servant's quarter. They are not as extravagant as the other parts of the brothel. Dust is everywhere in the quarters. Sick servants line the beds. I will have to help them. I start by taking a broom and sweeping the floors, kicking up as little dust as possible. After I finish sweeping, I bring in some fresh water and tend to the ill. One of the ill is a young girl that reminds me of Minerva. "There, there." I snap twice for Merl to come. Merl arrives through the back entrance and curls up next to the ill girl. I never thought Merl could take to another so easily. I change the sheets on the beds and bring in new ones. Cherry walks in, with a hand over her mouth.

"It looks and smells better in here already new girl. What did you say your name was?" Cherry looks at me expectantly. Cherry stills looks down upon me. Oh, I can't wait to slit her throat tonight. It will be a pleasurable sight to see Eklandian silks dyed red with her blood. Nothing will stand in my way between me and my kill. I can easily play with her too.

"Adelina." I say. I turn my head down as respect. I do this knowing later I can kill her. It is a one time thing between me and her.

"Adelina, Adelina, Adelina." My name will be burned into her memory for the coming day. "Do take care of the other laundry too, while you are at it." With that, she walks away. I finish up the rest of the laundry. The Tamchi's used nice, soft fabric for their bedspreads. It feels like touching a cloud. I head into the market to buy some nice bed spreads for the servants too. The servants and I combined our Saburns, and came up with a total of one-hundred-thirty-four. I can buy some fairly nice bedspreads with them.

I return with some floral bedspreads and some new mattresses. The servants gape at me, like I just committed a crime. They will soon learn that I will do whatever I want, whenever I want. I fall into one of the mattresses and sigh with relief. Time to get some sleep before tonight. Have to be well rested to kill.

Merl wakes me up at about midnight.

"Good boy, Merl. Now let's go find a Cherry to pick." Merl leads me through a series of roads and lanes until we stop at a house. I enter the house cautiously. We wouldn't want to wake anyone up. Merl guides me through the house, quietly growling every time I am close to an object. I arrive into a large room. A single woman lays in it with her nightgown revealing much of her body. Her lights are left on, so I can clearly see everything around me. I caress her cheeks, feeling her smooth cheeks. She startles awake.

"Who, who are you?" Cherry stammers out. "Answer me!" Cherry will learn.

"I am Midnight Princess, you are my next prey." I said. Cherry struggles to break out of my grasp. Her breath is ragged. Cherry's skin is so smooth, that she easily breaks out. I am use to working with the rough skinned nobles.

"If you kill me the King and his guards will be looking for you." She threatens me like it has an effect. "You don't want that. The gods will also be angry with you."

"It is too late, Fear and Love already are mad with me. Even though I am offering you as a sacrifice to them," I laugh at her. "Beside I already killed you." Merl leaps at her throat and grabs on to her. A scream escapes her lips. The rest of her house wakes up, and rush up the stairs to her grand room.

"Midnight Princess? You killed our only daughter. May the gods condemn you." They are easily talking about the King's false gods. Those aren't the real gods. They don't remember the real gods, the ones that balance everything in our world. The king worships demons. Demons from the spawn that weren't rejected. Rejections from the world that they were not designed for. Many are rejected, most if they remember the balance that the gods gave us are not rejected. It was as simple as that back in the day. I think the last person to get accepted into their world was my mother and she has been dead for twenty years now.
