Slowly Turquoise stated to include herself in whatever the Crystal Gems were doing. Though she was not like she used to be, now she spent more time alone but without disregarding the others. After they had finished battling a very persistent corrupted gem (long story), the Crystal Gems decided to enjoy the rest of the day on the beach. Turquoise sat a little way apart from the others. Her hair seemed to have gotten longer. She was like a human in many ways especially because of her emotions and her unpredictable nature. Turquoise and Steven often discussed how to cure corruption but still they could not find the solution. Connie, Amethyst, Pearl and Garnet tried to help but it was very complicated. Turquoise asked Steven about Centipeedle (oh god I hope I got that right) but the most he could offer was that someone who actually cared about the gem could have any chance of helping them. To be honest if there's one thing they have it's Turquoise's admiration for Jasper, her theory was that if they could cure a gem as defiant as Jasper the others would be a piece of cake. But for now they would rest and relax.

"I think its time Turquoise met Peri and Lapis", Steven said as they got out picnic blankets, "She's a new member and she hasn't even seen the whole team". "I agree",Pearl joined, "But I'm not sure how Lapis will respond to her". They all remembered the time Lapis stayed on the moon and even the time with Navy. "I'm sure she's better about it", Garnet said. "So who's going to call them", Amethyst asked. "There's no need I gave Peri an old phone of my dad's", Steven said taking out his own phone, "She's already figured out how to use it". He paused as he texted Peridot, "She says they'll be right over". "Did you tell them about Turquoise", Connie asked. "No I think they'd want to meet her in person first", Steven answered.

Not long after they arrived with Peridot riding on Lapis' back as she flew. She landed letting Peridot get off first. "Hi guys", Lapis greeted cheerfully. "Hello", Peridot said. Then Lapis noticed Turquoise, "Who is this", she asked inquirily. "This is Turquoise Diamond", Steven introduced her. Their curios faces quickly turned to that of alarm then amusement, "There is no Turquoise Diamond". "Are you sure Lapis try to remember", Steven pushe. "I'm here to ya know", Peridot said annoyed with her exclusion. "You're an Era 2 gem you wouldn't know her", Steven replied. "Steven I have know idea what you're talk......", her voice trailed off a look of recognition passed over her face. "You're the fifth diamond", she said clearly mortified. "I'm very sorry your grace I.....", she was cut off by Turq's laughter, "You don't have to be formal with me Lapis", she said barely controlling her laughter. This made Lapis blush even more. "We just wanted you to meet the newest addition to the Crystal Gems", Steven said. "She joined the Crystal Gems", Peridot asked, "I don't see a star". "Well pardon me little Peridot", Turquoise retorted, "I don't see a star on you either". Peridot mumbled something under her breath while blushing. Quite suddenly, dark clouds covered the welcoming sun. "What why did this beautiful day have to end", Steven said in dissapointment, "I guess well have to go inside".

Inside they talked some more before Lapis and Peridot left for the barn. "Turquoise wait", Steven called to her as she was getting ready to sleep on the couch, "Maybe you can sleep in my moms room". "I couldn't the rooms were made for specific gems", she said, "Besides its not like sleep is essential to me". "Come on you must be exhausted", he said persuasively. "Fine", she said walking towards the door. As she approached it her gemstone glowed and then her whole figure started shimmering and became very bright. After the light died down Turquoise had a pair if wings on her back. She looked very alarmed, "Why do I have wings I've never had them before". "Are you sure", Steven asked doubtfully. "Of course I'm sure", she said suddenly annoyed, "My memory is perfect". "Well we'll have to deal with it in the morning", he said yawning, "I'm beat". The wings suddenly dissapeared, "Where'd they go", she asked. "I don't know maybe we can talk to Lapis in the morning about how to control them", Steven said smiling, "After all of you have wings you should fly".
