Girl's POV :

Today we are going for college trip. Both I and Prachi are very excited and nervous. We will be going somewhere alone for the first time. Maasi has packed our bags. I had gone to bring the water bottle for us and when I returned, I saw maasi hugging and comforting Prachi. It was an emotional moment for them, but I felt missed out. It is during tomes like this that I wish my parents were alive. Though Prachi and maasi loves me, I still don't have whom I can call as maa or share my feelings like Prachi shares with maasi.

Two girls, Prachi and Shahana were sitting in a cab and were going to college to go for the college trip. Prachi was excited as she would be able to spend more time with Ranbir, but Sahana was gloomy due to some reason unknown to her.

"Hey Shahana, where are you lost? Why are you looking so sullen? Are you ill?" Prachi moved a hand in front of Shahana's face.

"Oh! Don't worry. I was just thinking about how much romance will we get to see in the trip." Shahana regained her composure.

"Romance?" Prachi was confused

"Yeah. You and Ranbir are going. So, there is bound to be some romance." Shahana teased her.

"It's nothing like that we are just friends" Prachi said emphasizing on the word friends.

"Is it so?" Shahana raised an eye-brow.

"Stop it. And what about you and Aryan? I'm sure there is something going on between you two." Prachi smirked.

"No. There is nothing." she blushed lightly at the mention of Aryan's name. "Look we have reached."

They got down from the cab and went inside the college. Shahana was relieved. Her plan had worked. She had successfully diverted Prachi's attention from her gloom. She didn't wanted to share her true feelings with anyone. She was not alone, yet she was lonely.

On the other hand:

"Don't you dare to harm her. I'm just staying with you under compulsion. I still love her." a man's voice could be heard

"You can leave me. I will survive with OUR son." a woman shouted.

"No I can't. Even I love him, and he loves you. Your truth will hurt him a lot. Let's keep on pretending like this." the man said sadly.

"That's like the man I love. Now don't argue and let's go to sleep." the woman smirked at her victory.

This was the conversation the boy was thinking about. He had overheard the conversation between his parents. It was bothering him. It was not that he surprised. Though he loved his mother, he knew that his mother had a shady past which only his uncle and father knew about. He was amazed by the fact that his mom was going to harm someone, as he had thought that she had changed. He wanted to investigate further, but he had to go for the college trip.

He thought for the whole night and decided that he will not go in the trip. He went to his best friend cum brother to inform him about the decision.

"Good Morning Aryan. Why are you still ready? We have to reach to catch the bus in time." Ranbir said entering the room.

"Actually, I'm not going. I came to inform you about it." he replied.

"But why?"

"I am not in a mood to go" Aryan lied.

Ranbir didn't want to go without Aryan, so he thought of a plan.

"Oh it's so sad....." Ranbir said dramatically.

"You can enjoy without me too. Prachi and our other friends will be going." Aryan tried to calm him.

"I will be OK. But, I was thinking about someone else." Ranbir pretended to think.

"Whom?"

"Shahana"

Ranbir knew that Aryan had a soft corner for Shahana and was using it to persuade him to go to the trip.

"Why? What happened to her? Why didn't anyone inform me earlier? Let me go and call her." Aryan was worried for her.

"So much concern for her......Is she your girl friend or what? I think you are in love bro." Ranbir smirked.

"Stop your nonsense and tell me what you wanted to say about her being sad." Aryan said while having a hard time in controlling his smile.

"Oh that! You know that Shahana and Prachi don't have any good friends among those who are going to the trip. And I have planned to engage Prachi with myself most of the time, so Shahana will be left alone in the trip, if you don't go."

Aryan thought for sometime. He wanted to investigate but the images of Shahana sitting lonely in the trip came to his mind continuously. He felt bad for her. She was important for him and he wouldn't let her be in sorrow. So, he agreed to go.
